I was waiting in the office for him to join me. "Hey Kingston, what did you want to talk about?" "Hey Bryson, this is not a friendly meeting but a business one." He eyed me and sat down. "Darla has been looking for a job and I have agreed to her terms and the owners." 

He huffed in frustration. "What do you mean, she is the Alpha's sister, the Beta's mate. There are enemies that could attack her for her status alone." He began ranting and it was starting to get infuriating. "Beta, stand down. Calm your wolf now. This is not up for debate; it has already been decided and you are to deal with it. She will be working at The Blue Moon." He went to shout I could feel his wolf's anger.

 "No Bryson, you have no say so. This is her decision and I agreed to the terms for her to work there. You are not to go cause problems. If you do you will be thrown in the cells until you can learn to control yourself. You done this, you treat her as your property, and she is now wanting space. You will let her do this. Is that clear?"

He glared at me, but I could see the sadness in his eyes. "Yes Alpha, I just cannot lose her. I never cheated, I only flirted. Ever since the incident she has been closed off. She never lets me touch her, hold her, I cannot even talk about my feelings with her." I listened to him as he began to break down.

 "Bryson, you need to let her do this and who knows maybe this will be good for you to. Also, stop flirting, show her you love her and will always support her." I hugged him, he has been my friend for many years and is like my brother. I guess it would be a good time to tell him. 

"So, let us take you out of the hot seat. I found my mate." His jaw dropped in shock. "What the hell, why did you not start with that? Who is it?" "Well, you remember the trouble you stirred up last night?" he laughed, "Yeah, that owner/bartender really let your ass have it. I mean she really.." He saw the look on my face when the realization finally hit him. "Holy shit balls on a cracker. She is your mate." I only nodded in response. "You are tee totally fucked there bro. She is fire."

Anastasia

"See that easy." Darla was doing wonderful during her training. "Now if you find a way to make the table waiting easier by all means do it." She laughed. "Thanks, Anastasia. This means a lot." I returned a smile.

 "So, Darla I see you convinced your brother to allow this. I also see that he sent a friend with you." She snapped her head towards me. "How did you know?" Ember laughed her wolf laugh in my head. "Seriously, isn't obvious. One, his scent has been lingering. Two, I have seen him twice walking the perimeter nearby. Three, you're the Alpha's sister, the Beta's mate." I just gave her the come on now look and her head dropped. 

"Please do not fire me." I stopped her before she went off the deep in. "No, Darla I was thinking we could have a little bit of fun. Layla and Lucy are mixing us up some grub before work. Calvin is almost done setting up the music equipment. What do you say?" she smiled a mischievous grin and then and there I knew I was going to like this girl.

We all gathered around the table clear on the plan. Then Darla the wonderful actress screamed the loudest scream she could muster. Within second her shadow came rushing through the front door and saw us. "Sit." Then I put my finger to mouth and head telling him to shh and no mind linking. 

Was not even five minutes I heard the padding of a large wolf getting closer. I could hear the sound of bones breaking and realigning. In walked a shirtless Alpha. No matter how much I wanted to look down his chest I kept my eyes locked on his eyes. "What the hell?" he said pointing to the guard and his sister. "This is what you get. My bar is for all supernaturals's some of who feel like this a safe place to have fun. They will not think that if they see your dog on a leash guarding the property. 

That just alerts any enemy that something valuable is in here." He looked at me very intently with almost a hunger in his eyes. "So how do you expect my sister to be safe?" "Well, if you would have discussed this as adults, I would have hired your bodyguard as a bouncer. That way he was inside and had eyes on Darla."

 He kept his mouth shut realizing it was a better idea than him lurking around outside. "Alpha, it is urgent." The guard jumped up. "Sir my mate is in labor." The Alpha wasted no time, "Go be with your mate, your on a month's hiatus to be with your family." My heart warmed at his softer side. "Then who is going to guard me so I can be here?" I heard a worried Darla ask quietly.

 "I will be." My head snapped to look at him and the Alpha had a sinister smile on his face I for once had nothing to say but internally, 'we are so fucked Ember.'
