Chapter 1: Missing

"Hello everybody my name is Markiplier and if you were wondering, yes . . . yes, I really am this gorgeous in person" he winked at the camera vainly.

He chuckled to himself, shaking his head before continuing on with the video, "Anyway, so I'm sure you all are very excited for the new big premiere coming soon and so am I. I've worked really hard and I just really can't wait for you all so see what I've gone through to make this happen. It's gonna be awesome, I promise"  he couldn't stop smiling, "And thank you to all my members, too, for the support. It wouldn't have been possible without your help."

In the corner of his eye, Mark noticed something outside his window but played it off as nothing for now for the camera.

"So I thought it'd be neat to watch some of the older vids before the new one comes out in a few days. Like a little time together to just refresh on everything that's happened and going on, you know? So how about we watch 'Who Killed Markiplier' first and then 'A Date with Markiplier'. I know the date one came out before whoever killed me but this is my video and this is how I'm doing things, gosh darn it! . . . . . and then we'll go to 'Damien' and the Heist vid and then the newest Space one. And then we'll be all caught up for tomorrow's big show, okay? Okay. Let's do it!"

He stopped his camera, knowing something was wrong. He's felt this energy before.

Looking out the window again, he tried to peer out but it was too dark out by now. He could see the tree was slightly luminated by the street lamp but nothing else was in view.

'Maybe it was just my imagination'

"It wasn't your imagination"

Mark jumped in his chair and twisted around but grabbed his heart with an uneasy breathe, "Jesus fucking Christ, Dark!! You can't just come in here like that! We have a doorbell! Or knock!"

"I did" Dark crossed his arms, "Amy let me in"

"Oh" Mark looked back outside his window, "But I could have sworn . . ."

Dark looked outside with him, "What? Did you see anything? Because it's precisely why I wanted to come to you tonight so if you think you saw anything outside, then now's the time to speak up"

"Wait, what?" Mark got out of his chair, rubbing the back of his head, "I . . . well maybe, I don't know. Why you being so odd, Dark? Or actually . .. more odd than usual" he cracked a smile before frowning again immediately, "What happened?"

Dark still stared outside, licking his lips a little before walking up and closing his blinds, "An Iplier has gone missing"

"WHAT? Dark, I trusted you to be in charge of them and you LOST one!? Was it Wilford, though, because that's the only one that I could understand-"

"It's her . . . . . . she's gone"

Mark stilled and stared at Dark as if he couldn't believe it, "What?  . . . . . B-but . . . . what?"

Dark nodded, letting him know he was correct in assuming what he meant on who.

Mark shuddered, fear crawling down his spine, "No . . . . . . . no, that can't be right. She's got more power in her than all of you guys combined. I created her to be practically invincible. The perfect ego against HIM. I-" he shook his head, staring at Dark, "How could you have let this happen?"

"Me?!" Dark snarled at him, "Are you serious?! Always treating her like a weapon, no WONDER she hated you! But this is different. We can't be fighting like children, Mark. We need to work together to find her and NOW"

Mark ran his hand through his hair, "Easier said than done . . . . what do you know? Was there a struggle? Kidnapping? Or did she run off on her own?"

Dark seemed defeated and avoided eye contact, "I  . . I honestly have no clue. There's no sign of her whatsoever. That's the weird thing. It's like she just vanished completely off the face of the earth. I think there was a struggle but I can't be sure. Her room was always messy"

"Shit" Mark crossed his arms, "Gather up the others, then. It's time for a group meeting. With ALL of us"

Dark nodded, "It'll be difficult with you being there since so many of them don't really like you, you know. Some of them still don't believe you're a different person from Actor Mark"

"Well that's where things will be different." Mark glared at the window. Even though he couldn't see anything, he felt eyes on him other than Dark's, " . . . . . I'm gonna summon Actor, too"

Dark was silent and he looked like he wanted to argue and rip Mark's head off but he didn't argue. If they wanted any chance in finding her, they had to go hard at it NOW.

Sean sat in his living room surrounded by most of his egos, "Mark called me yesterday. One of his egos have gone missing"

They all stared back at Sean, looking pretty confused and Chase was the first one to speak up.

"And? That kind of seems like a regular thing, doesn't it, dude?"

"Not this time" Sean shook his head, "It's a girl and I think you all know who I'm talking about already when I say that"

"Shite" Jackie cursed, clenching his fists, "Her again, huh? And did you tell Mark?"

Sean bit his lip, "I . . well I would have but. . .uh-"

"He didn't" Marvin rolled his eyes, "You know if he's gathering ALL HIS egos, he's gonna find out, right? It's just a matter of time"

"I know, I know . . . but I made a promise" Sean didn't want to throw his word away like nothing, "I can't just betray them"

"Even if it could save her life?" Jackie snapped, "Sean, we might be able to solve this TODAY if you just-"

"I'm not saying a damn thing and neither should you guys." his voice was stern and forceful, "Not unless he comes forward, himself about it, alright?"

"He probably killed or kidnapped her himself" Henrik scoffed, "We're probably too late and-"

Jameson smacked Henrik upside the head and held up a board where he had written on it, 'Don't say such a thing! That's very rude, you know'

"Anyway, Marv" Sean directed his words to him, "You could probably help. If he did have anything to do with it, you'll be able to know, right? Can you do that one thing you do? A spell or whatever?"

Marvin glared at him, "Really? That thing I do? Seriously? Do you have any idea what I'm capable of at all?"

"No?"

"That's about right. But alright. I'll get to work on it"

"Oh fuck that!" Jackie groaned, "Instead of wasting our time with magic, we could just go and ask him ourselves! You know where he lives, right, Sean?"

"Yeah, but-"

Chase sighed heavily, "It might be easier to just play detective than wait hours on end for Marvin's spells, bro. Could save a lot of time."

"I'm not blaming him" Jackie tried to make it clear, "But it might just be faster this way is all. All I'm saying"

Sean thought deeply to himself, 'It wouldn't be breaking my promise if we just go and ask him some questions, right? I wouldn't be telling Mark anything, still, or any of the other Ipliers'

"Fine . . . . yeah, let's go. Jameson'll come with me"

"Ah what!? Why HIM!?" They all groaned and scoffed but Jameson was just happy to be there.

"Because he's the only one that won't attack him immediately or accuse him."

"Not that he wouldn't deserve it" Chase pointed out, "Have you SEEN what he's done lately? It's all over the news, dude!"

"Blowing up trains, causing mass black-outs, fires and traffic jams, threatening literally everyone who gets in his way, waving his knife around like an extra limb . . . ." Jackie waited for Sean to stop him, "Seriously? Should I keep going? The dude's more insane lately than usual"

Before Sean could say anything, Evelien walked in, obviously upset with the conversation.

"Have you guys stopped to think that maybe he's doing it all for a reason? He might just be able to help if you get on his good side."

Chase and Jackie looked ready to argue but she continued, "Try  . . . . please just try. You might be surprised."

Henrik yawned in his hand before breathing out with a small scoff, "Not likely~"

Jameson swat him once more, making the doctor wince.

He sat on a bench by the park, hunched over and deep in thought.

'I looked everywhere . . . . I tracked the bastard so close, I was almost on top of him just for him to disappear like he never existed'

He didn't understand it, 'Just like her . . ..  I can't believe she's gone. Just vanished. It's not right. None of it adds up'

He stood up for a moment and started walking down the sidewalk, 'Everyone will think it was me. I don't give a fuck what they think but they might stop me from looking'

A snarl formed on his lips, 'Idiots, all of them. Don't even realize what they've done. I blame them. All of them.'

His eyes glowed neon in the shadows and the air smelt chlorine or burning plastic around him.

'And I'll be damned if I let any of them stand in my way'

It's the beginning of yet another story but this one is about to be very different from any of my other. I hope you all enjoy it! I'd really love to read your comments and theories :D
