The next day we were free to leave and I'd never seen a more clingy Nathan.

He had Charlotte take us home and the entire time he held the baby.

The congratulations were overwhelming but I finally got a chance to sleep.  And now I wake up to a delicious smelling Breakfast.

"I made you some pancakes and cappuccino. " Nathan says smiling.

"Thank you so much babe." I kiss his face.

"Anything for my wife." He says and I get super excited. That endearment means everything to me.

"Is Mika awake?" I ask and he shakes his head.

"No she is still sleeping." I smile as he replies.

As I'm eating a knock sound and Nathan allows them in.

"Good morning." Charlotte says.

I smile at her and the rest of the family.

Everyone of them hugs me, even Arraine is here.

"How are you feeling?"

"Where is she?"

"What's her name?"

I'm asked at the same time.

They all laugh.

"I feel tired, I want to sleep. She is in her court bed right there and her name is Ammika Ella Meyer." I tell then and they coo.

"How about that Ella part, we add a Mai from her aunty Char?" She asks smiling.

"Ella Mai? Like the singer?" I ask. And she nods.

"We cant miss this opportunity. " she says smiling.

"Sure then. We'll do that." Nathan says laughing.

"Okay, it was great seeing you all but now we have to sleep. Goodbye." He says shooing everyone. Just as the door closes, Mika starts crying.

Oh crud.

Nathan gets the crib and picks her up.

"Hello baby, good morning princess. How are you? This is your new home now. Not the stomach, you like it?" Nathan asks.

He picks her up and walks towards me. My heart swells at the image. Nothing looks better than your hot man holding your baby.

I didnt get to see her eyes open because I was sleeping since we came back to the hospital. It's my first natural birth so I am pretty worn out.

Must be the medication.

Nathan lands my daughter in my arms and boy am I shocked.

Her eyes are as hazel as her brother and father's what the hell? Do I not get a chance.

Well at least her hair looks promising, because Ethan is a whole caucasian. Not even his hair is curly.

"Hey Mika. I'm your mom. You're my daughter." I say using the same voice Nathan was using. 

Her hazel eyes pull me in and lock me in them.

She is a beautiful baby.

"We made this." I tell him and he nods smiling.

"Where is her brother?" I ask.

"He's sleeping. He didn't sleep last night, he was worried about you." He kisses my cheek.

"Tell me when you're ready for you bath."

I nod.

Staring at the baby girl sucking at my breast, she is beautiful.

Not once did I see myself mothering two. Its always been just Ethan and I.

Now I cant comprehend how I lived  like that. It makes absolutely no sense.

There is a tiny knock on the door. If it wasnt so silent in here, you would have missed it.

Ethan walks in .

He sits next to me and smiles.

"Hi mommy." He greets

"Hey baby." I kiss his forehead. He shakes his head no.

"I'm not your baby anymore. That is." He says pointing to his sister.

"You are my baby sweetie, you always will be. And you'll also always be my best friend. She is just your sister, when she knows how to talk we'll be a big ole group of friends." I tell him.

"You sure?" He asks.

"You want to pinky promise?" I ask and he nods violently.  He gives me his pinky which I tangle with mine.

"I promise. "

"What's her name mommy?" He asks.

"Her name is Mika baby."

"Mika?" He asks.

I nod then he kisses her on the forehead. He is the sweetest.

Soon we are walking downstairs for dinner. Yep, we slept in that long.

"Evening." I thirdly greet everyone. They all stare up at me and greet.

I realise that Natalia and Jamie are still here.

"Hey guys, did you meet you niece?" I ask staring at them and they shake their heads before they walk over to me.

"Wash your hands before you touch the baby okay." Janice says.

And so they do.

Soon enough she falls asleep and Nathan and I cuddle up in the bed.

"So we're married with kids?" He asks.

I chuckle at this but nod anyway.

"I love you Nathan. I know that me leaving you seemed like I didnt. But I love you." I tell him.

"I love you Gem. So, so much." He says.

"You want to watch a movie?" I ask.

"Something like the Titanic? Please your pregnancy preferences were so lame babe. Why would you want to watch Titanic while you know that you're emotional?" He asks as if he just solved for X.

"Oh shut it." I tell him laughing.

"We should travel as a family." He says.

"Like a family honeymoon?" I ask smiling.

"No, just an opportunity for the family to have fun and just kickback and relax. Plus, it could give me bonding time with my siblings." He says.

"Oh yea, how are you feeling about the whole having siblings thing?" I ask him.

He hums and then begins to stroke my hair as he speaks.

"I mean it's weird because I spent my whole life up to now as an only child and now suddenly my mother comes back and then I have siblings.  Its overwhelming." He says.

"I understand. So are you going to have a relationship with them? Because you've always regarded Charlotte as your sister and now?" I ask.

"Charlotte is still my baby sister." He asks.

"She isnt a baby anymore. She's engaged babe. " I tell him and he nods.

"I know that, I'm just not ready to let go you know?" He starts.

He takes a pause before he continues.

"I mean for a long time she was like my little sister you know. I understood that change is inevitable but not to that extent.

I thought she'd always be my little sister. Whose hair I can ruffle anytime and make fun of her for the horrible food she cooks even though she cooks better than most professional chefs. " he says.

"But babe she'll always be your little sister, she'll just be married to Tyler. But you can always count on her like you always have.

You can still ruffle her hair and make fun of her like old times. She isn't going away babe, shes just getting married like you and I. " I reassure.

"Cool babe, now can we sleep?" He asks and I nod.

"Please."

We sit in silence for a few moments before slowly drifting into sleep.

This us when Mika decides to wake us up to her crying.

"Oh fuck." Nathan says yawning.

"You just gotta learn to love it." I chuckle.
