All of Class 1B, save for Kiyo, was worried about the final exam and had several class study sessions before and after school. Kiyo joined in to help her classmates and even helped with quirk and combat training. Mr. Kan announced the pairs and Kiyo found herself tackled by a squealing Pony when she realized they were paired together. Pony's squealing cut off immediately as Mr. Kan announced their opponent was All Might.

Kiyo felt something stir within her as she spotted fear in Pony's prussian blue eyes. "I'll protect you." She assured the blonde.

Pony's cheeks flushed with heat.

"Hot." Tokage swooned and several of her other classmates quickly nodded in agreement.

Kiyo frowned and threw them a curious look before brushing it off. They were up first and didn't have a lot of time to make a plan. Kiyo and Pony quickly changed into their costumes before meeting up outside the training ground where their exam was going to be held.

Kiyo noticed Pony nervously fidgeting with the skirt of her costume that somewhat reminded her of a creamsicle as it was orangish-pink and cream colored. "Do you have a plan in mind?" She asked Pony to draw her from her fretting.

Pony jumped and looked at Kiyo in awe, she had an amazingly analytical mind and she was asking Pony if she had a plan? Her heart stuttered in her chest. Kiyo was giving her a chance to show her own analytical skills off. "If I use Horn Surf I can move myself pretty fast...but that would leave you to distract All Might..." She hesitated.

Kiyo pondered it for a moment working through the possible scenarios in her head. "It's a good plan and showcases both of our skills. Let's do it."

Pony grinned. "We got this!"

Kiyo offered her a small smile, "I'm counting on you, partner."

Pony's face flushed scarlet.

"Such wonderful teamwork." A loud voice sounded before a massive weight hit the ground behind them.

Pony let out a squeal of panic that cut short as she was immediately swept into Kiyo's arms and Kiyo leapt away reflexively. She relaxed once she realized it was just All Might and set Pony down gently. Stiffly she offered him a polite bow. "All Might."

All Might looked at the stoic girl. She was as rigid as her father though appeared to have better control over her temper. He'd seen her lash out before, nearly the whole world had, there was definitely some deep seated rage in there but she hid it well beneath a poised mask.

"We'll begin soon, best of luck young Todoroki and young Tsunotori. I won't be going easy on you, so give it your all."

"Plus Ultra!" Pony cheered with a grin, looping her arm through Kiyo's.

Kiyo felt herself begin to relax. She offered Pony a smile, "plus ultra." She said quietly, causing Pony's grin to grow.

All Might headed into the training grounds to get set up for the exam. The teachers all had to wear weights that were half their body weight to help make it more fair for the students, but only a fool would think that was actually any help at all to the students. It wouldn't hinder them enough to make much of a difference.

A moment later an alarm sounded, signaling the start of their exam. They stepped through the massive gate leading to the cityscape training ground. Once inside Kiyo immediately activated her quirk sending massive mountains of ice down several roads in various directions so All Might would have a harder time predicting their route.

Pony launched her horns and hopped atop them using her quirk to control them. She looked to Kiyo for reassurance. Kiyo offered her a smile, "get going. I'll clear your path and watch your back. Nothing will get in your way."

Pony nodded. "Be safe." She focused on the horns she was standing on and sent them hurtling toward the exit gate.

Kiyo created a thick tunnel of ice guiding her path.

All Might launched an attack on the tunnel, only managing to get it to crack and stared in awe as it immediately repaired itself. "Impressive, young Todoroki." He prepared to launch a second attack but leapt back as a wave of blinding blue flames lashed out at him. A black and white blur whizzed past him. He'd revealed his location when he attacked and Kiyo moved in to distract him so Pony could escape.

Pony stared in awe at the massive tunnel Kiyo had created to shield her. Her prussian blue eyes fell on a blast of fire through the ice and she felt her heart stutter in her chest as she saw Kiyo facing off against All Might. She was amazing!

Kiyo narrowly dodged a punch that would have surely knocked her out cold. While struggling to dodge his attacks she focused on her quirk. All Might watched the girl carefully as he swung at her, she seemed distracted.

"You can't afford to be distracted right now, young Todoroki. You should be focusing on the task at hand." He chided.

Kiyo smirked, he hadn't noticed. "I am." She expelled a burst of blue flames from her body using the blast as cover and darted into a nearby alley.

All Might heard the sound of crackling ice behind him and turned to see what looked like a massive dragon made of ice falling toward him. That's what she'd been focusing on, using her quirk to craft the massive terrifying sculpture.

Pony crossed through the gate and an alarm sounded signaling the end of the exam.

Kiyo grinned and sprinted toward the exit. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Pony jumping and cheering for joy. As soon as she saw Kiyo, Pony ran to her and caught her in a hug.

"We did it!" Pony cheered.

Kiyo smiled, "thanks for being quick, I wasn't sure I was gonna last much longer as a distraction."

"Thanks for clearing the way for me!" Pony beamed brightly.
