"Babe, please don't do this,", he says as he follows her into the room, his heartbeat racing just as quickly as his thoughts.
He moves into the room and tries to hold her, to pull to himself, but she pushes him away. He can feel the amount of rage emanating off her, as her warm breath rapidly hits his face.

"I hate you!.., I hate you so much, Adrian!"

"No, you don't. Come on baby don't say such things, you love me, and I love you..."

"Fuck your love, Adrian!" She yells again, not letting him finish his sentence. He's taken aback by her words but tries to regain his composure.

"You don't curse Diana, that something you never do", he says, as his eyes desperately search her face for a hint of affection. He knows it's there, but he just can't find it, no matter how hard he looks. It feels like the warmth in her eyes is slipping further away, and being replaced with harsh, chilling stare.

"Yes you're right Adrian, I don't curse, but now I do!... and whose fault is that?!" She says as she screams at him.
He avoids her gaze as he lets his gaze trail down to the wooden floor beneath their feet. He knows the exact answer to her question, but he can't bring himself to answer her. She stares at him with obvious disdain in her eyes as she speaks
"That's right, it's all your fault!" Her tone is calm yet it feels like she just kicked him straight in gut, and accompanied it with a hard slap. He looks up at her his gaze travelling upwards towards her face, he opens his mouth to speak but closes it again, as no words are produced. She scoffs as if mocking his wordless condition

"This is all your fault Adrian, every single thing happening right now is all your fault!" she says her tone still as sinister as ever.

"But you know maybe not everything is your fault here, I equally have a role to play in this, if only..." she continues.

"No!. No Diana, there are no 'ifs' remember. We made that promise to eachother. We promised that we would never have any 'ifs' no matter how bad things became. Fine you can blame me for everything, I'm fine with that, but no 'ifs' or 'if onlys' please Diana" he says as he stares at her. He has no words to good enough to say. He just wants her to see and know that he can bear every single thing, everything else, but it would break his heart to know that she had any 'if onlys', but it doesn't look like she cares about that. Her eyes are blazing with that unmistakable rage, like a burning furnace, he knows she has more things to say, and those things might be things neither of them would never forget after now, he doesn't try to stop her anymore, it's meaningless, she was still going to speak nonetheless. So why stop her?

"No Adrian, I was dumb. Obstinate. Stupid and naive when I made that promise to you, I was driven by love, lust, and teenage exuberances"she said looking him dead in the eye, and he was staring straight back, it was killing him, but he wasn't going to look away. 'She didn't mean any of these words, she's just angry' he kept repeating it to himself in his head, while staring straight at her, he wasn't going to believe her words. No.

"Adrian, you know if only I had not been as stubborn headed as I was, if only I had I had listened to them..."

"Diana!" He yells. He can't take this, not now not ever, she wasn't going to finish that sentence, cause that would be the biggest lie she would ever tell herself and him. She doesn't flinch, instead she yells his name back, the fury in her voice evident.

"Adrian!"

"You can't be saying these things Diana, you wished you had listened to them!, Really?!" He asks, his eyes staring at her, a mix of shock, and disbelief laced with pain evident in his voice, at the same time he could feel his temper rising at every word she spoke.

"Yes Adrian, I wish I had listened to them. I wish I had listened to every single person who asked me to stay away from you!, everyone including your crazy exes. You know now when I think about it, I don't think they were actually crazy. Cause it was obvious that they were all looking out for me in their own way, but I was to stupid to have taken heed to their advice" She says to him, as she watches as he clutches his hand into a his fist beside him in anger, the veins on them becoming more obvious, his knuckles almost white. Looking back up at him she asks;

"Are you angry Adrian?.. Does it make your blood boil hearing me say such things huh?" She says her tone obviously scornful, she has a very clear knowledge of what she was doing. She was taking the knife and using it to pry open his wounds. She was deliberately trying to get under his skin.

"Listen Adrian if you're angry, then I'm even more angry. I'm not just angry at you but also at myself. I was told; Diana you're just infatuated, it's just a crush. I didn't believe any of that, cause a crush couldn't possibly last for years, a crush couldn't make your heart skip a beat every time you met a person for six years straight" she said her voice shaking as tears filled her eyes. She wasn't just hurting him she was hurting herself at the same time, just as much, maybe even more.

"Diana, please stop.." he says, his voice escaping as a low whisper, he was losing the energy he needed right now. She simply ignores him as she goes on

"They said Diana you're just drawn to the bad boy aura, but I didn't believe them cause I felt there was so much more to you than the bad boy they saw. They said I was being played and used, but I didn't believe them, why?, because I was recieving 'the princess treatment ' and felt untop of world.
They said I was crazy to have agreed to marry you, but I didn't believe them. But you know what Adrian, they might have been wrong in some areas, but they were right majority of the time " she said her voice more stabled and calm, her eyes meeting with his eyes. Those hazel coloured eyes that had stolen her heart as a young teenage girl. Those eyes she had woken up to every morning straight for years. Those eyes she used to think she could trust her life with.

"No Diana !..., you're wrong. They were wrong in everyway, in every single way. Just like they always have been, and always will be. You know that too right ?" He said as he looked at her, his eyes holding a gaze so soft and tender. His eyes pleading with her for the reassurance she always gave him, but this time it was different she wasn't speaking to him, she wasn't wrapping her arms around him, she wasn't whispering sweet nonsense to him. She wasn't kissing his cheeks and telling him how much she loved him.
Damn all that, she wasn't even looking at him. She couldn't let him quench the fire burning inside her. He continues softly, hoping that his words would find their way into her heart.

"We're perfect together Diana. Yes, I acknowledge that I've made some mistakes but that doesn't make any of their words true" He says, as he reaches for her hand but she immediately moves away from him.

"Yes Adrian, maybe they were wrong at first, maybe the words they said might have been wrong, but you know those 'mistakes' of yours made every single word they said true!" She said pointing her finger at him, her other hand clenched tightly into a fist, her nails digging into her palm.

"And you know what hurts the most, it's the fact that we could have proved every single one of those people wrong, but you ruined that, and you know it hurt so much knowing how great everything would have been, if not for your dumb mistakes!. It .... hurts to know that I was trying my best.... to make everything work out, but.... it seemed like you were just hellbent on ruining everything! and throwing my....... efforts away " she says her voice shaking. Tears which were welled up in her eyes finding their way slowly down her cheeks. Her breath rapid, she sniffed her nose and stormed out of the room, not wanting to stay another moment in his presence.

Storming out of the room with her packed bag held firmly in her hand, she ran into the second room, with him running in immediately after her.
