"Shit" Haru murmurs cheeks going as red as Prince Rin's eyes.

"HAHAHAHA! So who is it? Is it Q? *gasps* Or is it Rin? It's Rin isn't it!" I question a smirk blossoming on my face.

"NO! Well maybe... I DONT KNOW!" Haru yells ruffling up his hair. Well now his hair is messy.

"*Gasp*OMG I BET THATS EXACTLY HOW YOUR HAIR WOULD LOOK AFTER YOU AND R-" I begin to Fangirl before Haru slaps his hand over my face.

"SHHHHH! SHUT UP!" Haru screams cheeks going even redder. Wait cheeks.

"BUTT SEX BUTT SEX BUTT SEX!" I screech prying Haru's hand off my mouth.

"AVERY SHUT UP!"

"NEVER! HAHAHHAHA HARU X RI-" I begin to yell before the gay Dolphinean prince pounces on me covering my mouth with his hand yet again.

"BE QUITE WOULD YOU!" Haru screams at me.

"WOOOOAAAHHH! Dafq happening here" Q questions walking up to us. Guess he got bored of swimming. Lucky butt can actually do that. I'm not aloud to go into my Human form under water. Of course I'm not supposed to go on land either but well ya.

In case you haven't figured this out yet, me and Q already knew each other before all this. Where did we meet? At the beach. Now we were both in human form so yaa. We were staying at the same hotel and became friends. A week later as I was making my way back from "Hunting for ocean treasures" I ran into him, except he was in shark form.

We didn't really give a crap and decided to meet up at a hidden under water cave thing every Friday. That's where we met Alyssa the Dolphinean. Still trying to get her and Q together. Speaking of Q.

"Avery! Why didn't you tell me you were a thing!?!? Well there goes my plan for a ship. I'm sorry but I don't ship you two at all. But I guess I can accept it."

"No you can't cause it ain't a thing." I say pushing Haru off me
"Gross" Haru says sticking his tongue out.

"Shut it Gay Dolphin boy." I say crossing my arms.

"Wait gay? He's gay? Perfect"  Quentin asks/says. Damn you Quentin asking a question and then saying something!

"AVERY! WHY THE HELL DID YOU SAY THAT!" Haru screams, cheeks flushing back into a sort of maroon color. Oh the irony.

"Hey look on the bright side Haru. Now your cheeks match your Future Husband's hair!" I say pointing at his cheeks with a smirk.

"AVERY!"

"Damn it Haru now your cheeks are full blown red! They're not matching Rin's hair anymore!" Quentin says, jumping on bored the tease train.

"ARAGHARHAGRHAHRARGH!" Haru yells swimming into his room and slamming the door while messing up his hair even more.

"Well this is fabulous then" Q says while swimming back to his temporary room.

"What you mean?" I ask while following him.

"Well I over heard Rin mumbling to himself about "Damn gay thoughts popping up in my head." And I'm also quite sure I heard something about a Prince soooo..." Quentin says turning his head to look at me.

"Rin likes Haru and Haru likes Rin." I finish for him eyes and smile widening.

"Exactly! Now there's just a few obstacles. One being getting Rin to realize his feelings for Haru and Haru his feelings for Rin." Q states.

"What are the other obstacles?"

"Well to get them to realize they share feelings for each other. Which can't be ttthhhaaatt hard right?" Quentin says/asks. Saysks. Asys. Oh whatever.

"Nope that's gonna be really difficult." I say while telepathically yelling Alyssa likes you back.

"How would you know?" Q questions confused. I simply respond with a face that says "Really? Really Quentin?"
"What? Why are you looking at me with your 'Really?' Face?" Quentin questions.

"Nothing! It's nothing." I say continuing to swim while he stops because we've reached his room.

"What? What'd I do?" Mr sharklegs yells after me.

"GOOD NIGHT QUENTIN!" I yell back before heading out a window and up to my Balcony. Perks of being a Mermaid underwater.

Time Skip to Morning

\/\Rin's POV/\/
I wonder what all that yelling last night was. I wasn't really paying attention to it cause I was to busy thinking of Haru. Well trying to stop thinking about him really. But I mean even though I've only known him for a few hours, I can tell he doesn't show emotion very often.

Well and cause Quentin explained to me how he and Avery had secret meetings every Friday for the past year and a half. According to what Q said Avery told him, Prince Haruka Nanase of the Dolphinean kingdom almost always looks indifferent. And sounds it too.

But if that's true then why is it he freaked out so much around his father. I mean he was only yelling at him. It's not like he was gonna- No. No! Is it possible that King Doran abused Haru at one point in time? Or maybe even still abuses him now? No! No! Why the hell would you want to hurt Haru?

He seems so innocent! And not to mention Cute! Wait what? Argh! Damn brain and it's new found gay thoughts! But still, how could you ever hurt Haru? Hmmm I need to investigate this! But how? I can't just go up to Haru and just ask him "Hey has your dad ever Abused you?" I mean that could trigger something! Or get him in trouble with his dad if he were to find out I am suspicious. Or both. And I can't exactly ask his dad for the same reason. He'd probably deny it too. I'm not even sure he even has ever been abused!

"Prince Rin is it? Umm breakfast is ready!" A female voice says form behind the door.

"I'll be there in a minute" I announce.

"Okay sir!" She replies before in assuming swimming off.

Hmmm maybe I could get Q and Gou's help. Maybe Avery's too. I'll ask after breakfast. Though I suppose we really should be heading out today.

Time Skip to just at the end of Breakfast

" Are you sure it's alright if we stay for any longer than we already have?" Gou asks King Connor and Queen Julia.

"Of course! You stay as long as you'd like! I got a message from your mother saying she'll take care of the kingdom while your here." The Merqueen responds.

"Oh Avery, Haru, why don't you give them a tour of the Kingdom! Then tomorrow you can give everyone a tour of your kingdom Haru! Your mother said she would love to see her son again even if it was for just one day! Not to mention with company too. 'The more the merrier' she says!"

Once she says the last part Haru's eyes widen and he drops his fork and glances towards his father with fear. His father seems to be quite neutral about this though. Well maybe a bit angry.

"Go a head Haruka. Show them the Kingdom you'll never rule." King Doran taunts. Haru responds by Averting his eyes down and nodding softly.

"Doran." King Connor intervenes with a warning tone.

"Yes yes I'm sorry for this Sorry excuse of a Prince. But if you'll excuse me I must be returning to my Kingdom." The Dick King says getting up and
leaving the castle.

"Riight well now that A$$ king is gone how about we get ready for the tour of the Merkingdom yes?" Avery chirps up attempting to break the tension. We all respond with a nod and head off to our rooms.

We meet outside the Castle and Haru and Avery begin showing us around. Q, Gou, and I get a variety of looks. Some were fearful, some curious, and some were glares of disgust or hatred.

"OH MY GOD QUENTIN ! AVERY!" A Dolphinean squeals enveloping both said sea people in a hug. I notice Haru staring at her wide eyed. Then suddenly he takes off!

"Huh? Hey HARU!?" I yell after him.

"H-H-Haru?" The Dolphinean girl questions looking at me frightened. "As in P-P-Prince H-Har-Haruka?"

"Ya, why?" Avery questions confused.

"Alyssa?" Q questions worriedly.
'Alyssa' begins to shake and tears brim her eyes.

"Har-Har-Haru's h-h-here? Not back at t-t-thh k-k-kingdom?" She stutters.

"Ya Haru's here. Why? Do you know him personally?" Gou asks.

"I used to. But then.... his father found out. I told him he shouldn't! But he wouldn't listen! I mean ya it was about 10 years ago but... I heard it lasted for 8!" She murmured to what seems like more to herself than us.

"Alyssa, What happened?" Q asks calmly.

"When I was 7, and Haruka 8, we met at an abandoned park. I didn't know he was the run away Prince! I-*Sigh* Every day we met at that park. We'd sit on the swings and talk. Just talk, and swing. My family didn't have much money. And then. We couldn't pay rent anymore, The soldiers came and forced us out. We didn't get to keep our possessions or anything. If we didn't have it on us, we couldn't keep it." She said tears flowing down her face. She sniffles and wiped them off before continuing.

"I still went to the Park that day. But when Haru found me crying and asked me what was wrong I broke down. I clung onto him and cried into his shoulder as I explained. At first I didn't believe him when he said he could fix it but then he explained how. I thought he was insane? I mean who the heck would even dream of doing such a thing. When I asked him that he said 'I guess a runaway prince would' and with that he dragged me off to the castle to-to-to steal money." Alyssa continued.

"Wait, you guys stole money from the King?" Gou questioned probably as shocked as the rest of us.

"Well we tried to. We got caught by the King himself. He was outraged. He-he-he-" Alyssa bursted out into tears. Quentin hugged her and allowed her to cry into his chest. At this point we had moved out of the streets and were now in a park sitting on a bench.

After calming down Alyssa continued.

"He pulled out a sword and slashed Haru a crossed the chest. He then grabbed a mace and swung it at me but, Haru. He jumped in the way and took the hit for me. He told me to run but. I was too scared. He kept taking the hits for me while I kept yelling for both him and the King to stop. I finally gave up when- when Haru said that he-he-he was used to it and would be fine. But what horrified me was the fact that the 'Runaway Prince' was still missing for 8 more years. The queen was depressed which means the King hid Haru for 8 years and probably Tortured him for just as long, with the queen not knowing. He was found again two years ago Bloody, with broken bones and barely alive at the abandoned park."

We all remained silent and shocked. then Avery finally spoke up. "Poor Haru. So wait instead of ever coming after you he just continued to beat his own son for 8 years!?"

Alyssa shook her head.

"He came after me. In a way. They took my father. Made him fight in a war against the Orcanians. He had no fighting experience but they still made him fight. Naturally he died. One of the first casualties apparently." Alyssa said sadly with tears in her eyes.

"I think I'm gonna look for Haru." I announce sitting up from the bench.

"Please don't tell him I told all of you this. Please." Alyssa begged.

"Fine I won't. I said as I began swimming away.

By the time I found Haru it was around 4:30. He was sat on top of a hill under a coral tree. He had the base of his tail in his hands and had puffy red eyes with tears still rolling down.

"Hey" I said sitting down next to him, causing him to jump. Now that I'm close to him I can see all of the faded scars on his face and arms and some on his Tail too. What worried me is how many are there on his chest and back? I guess I know why he wears that shirt now.

"Hi." Haru croaks not looking at me.

"Haru, Why do you have scars on your face, arms, and tail?" I question acting as if I don't know. I see Haru flinch and tense up. but he still doesn't look at me.

"Do you have some on your torso to? Is that why you wear a shirt?" I prod more. But this time I get a bit of a reply that I probably wasn't meant to hear.

"That and I'm fucking ugly."
I frown and counter his statement.

"You are not ugly. You're adorable." I say with a smile. WAIT DID I JUST SAY THAT! OH GOSH IM BLUSHING I CAN FEEL IT! Wait, is? Is he blushing too? Nawww. Is he?

"No I'm not. Like my father says, I'm an ugly, worthless peice of shit sorry excuse for a prince and even worse of a son." he responds looking down and tears falling from his eyes.

"Haru, anyone who says anything like that is not only a worthless good for nothing piece of shit, but a liar too. And your dad is 1,000 times worst. How could any body hurt such an adorable thing like you?" I say while wiping away his tears with my thumb. His eyes widen at my words. Wait, crap.

"How did you-"

"It's pretty obvious with how you flinch at him yelling and well his yelling." I say as stroke away the tears from under his eyes. "And these scars only prove it more so." That and Alyssa told me. Naw not gonna say that. If he wants to tell me then he can.

"Please don't tell. Please PLEASE don't tell. He'll kill me! He'll literally kill me. And probably torture you!" He sobs while begging me and gripping on to my shoulder while and burying his face into my chest.

"Sshhhh. I won't let that happen and I won't tell." I reassured him hugging him and stroking his hair. After awhile his sobs became whimpers and then silence. He fell asleep.

I swim back to the castle, lay him on his bed. As I'm about to swim away I feel something grab onto my arm. I turn around to find a sleeping Haru cuddling it. "Rin" he mumbles in his sleep. I blush and lay next to him stroking his hair until I fall asleep to the sound of him breathing.
