chapter thirteen
Third Person's POV
Arms wrap around a female's waist as he rests his chin against her shoulder. She looks back, smiling widely before quickly glancing around.
"I've already checked," he says, pressing a soft kiss against her cheek. "Everybody is still getting ready. . . And you look amazing."
Alex turns around in his grasp, her hands placed softly against his chest. "And you look as dashing as ever. It's almost strange seeing you dressed up."
Vylad playfully sticks out his tongue at her, closing his eyes. Alex reaches forward to pinch his tongue but fails when he realizes what she was doing.
"You're acting like a child."
"I'm more of a child than you are," she retorts.
Vylad rolls his eyes lets her go, grabbing onto her hand and swinging it back and forth. "There's a closet nearby. We can make out in it."
Alex laughs, "Absolutely not. Especially not when I look like this. It took too long to look this way."
Vylad begins to pout before gently squeezing her hand and nodding his head, understanding what she meant. Getting himself to look this way took a bit of time to do too.
The two look at each other before the blonde sighs, sitting down on the floor. Vylad follows suit, concerned about her sudden change in mood.
She looks up, instantly confessing the latest updates of her life. While she was fine, even if hiding a relationship was consuming her, everything else seemed like a mess.
Laurance was falling down a rocky path with his relationship before Y/N got into her own causing him to be a Debby Downer. But once he learned of Y/N's new relationship, it grew worse.
Alex and Vylad both knew Laurance was going to break up with Aphmau. He admitted it to both of them at different times. He realized he just didn't feel the way he once did with her and he was tired of her wandering eyes. He felt a strong connection to Y/N, but it was certain to him she didn't feel the same way when she got into her own relationship.
"Now he's just depressed all the time," Alex says, fiddling with the ring on her finger. "He was beginning to make Christmas decorating depressing before Cadenza and I sent him outside to help dad with the Christmas lights."
Vylad looks down at her hand, noticing her eyes are casted at the object. He places his hand on top of hers, trying to get her to stop fiddling with it to the best of his ability. At least this way he calms down her nerves.
"He threw away his shot that night," Vylad says, shaking his head before bringing her hand to his lips, kissing her knuckles softly. "I'm just glad I didn't."
Alex looks up, trying to offer him a week smile. "Me too." She slowly stands up, shaking her head. "I just don't know what to do. He's been acting different lately. Writing new songs which is nice, but this isn't the brother I know. . . We. . . We should go check on the others."

"Y/N, everybody is gleaming with excitement over the news of you having a new beau," the interviewer says, her smile wide and white.
Y/N looks over at the interviewer with a soft smile, nodding her head to the words. It made her happy to know her fans were happy for her and gaining a new relationship. Though beau was most definitely a strange word for her to call him.
This is how it's gone. An update on their lives. First they hit up Laurance on his relationship with Aphmau, which he lied on how well it was going not to alarm anyone. They had to keep up the pitch perfect picture on their lives, acting as though everything was okay when it wasn't.
Now, they're suckering Y/N into a conversation about her relationship. They start off by having her explain how they met and how it happened. The interviewer knew for a fact the viewers would eat this up.
While Leo wasn't thrilled of what was happening in the interview from the sidelines, he was at least happy it appeared like it was going well and it would keep the fans happy. . . even if he preferred the interviewer would focus on their music instead.
The interviewer turns to the silent ones of the group, trying her best to perk up an interest on what was happening in their lives. "And you two? Any new romances floating to the surface?"
Alex and Vylad look at each other before bursting into laughter. Vylad shakes his head before Laurance playfully cuts in.
"My baby sister is too young for a relationship," he says, crossing his arms over his chest.
Alex rolls her eyes. "I'm sixteen," she says. "But you're right. Boys are yucky. They have cooties."
"And this is why you're the youngest," Vylad says. "Haven't come to the conclusion that girls are the ones with cooties yet."
Alex looks over at Vylad with a playful glare. She hums in disapproval of his words.
Y/N looks over at the two with an obnoxious laugh. Even if it was pretend, moments like that was what they wanted most in the world.
