Meet Ryan, a typical teenage girl.  Also from a typical teenage setting.  Has issues with her Mom, hates the man that is about to be her stepdad, angry at her father that has been gone so long...  The only thing unusual about it is she and her little sister, Riley, actually like each other.  That and the fact that her father has been in prison for the murder of a young boy.

There are other typical things, like best friends and betrayal, dating and sex, love and hate.  But what makes Riley's story unique, there seems to be an air of mystery of the chain of events that led everything to be as they are, and makes you wonder if the father was innocent and  if the stepfather (that was also the father's lawyer) actually did his job or if he just wanted to put the father out of the picture.

Riley is also caught up in her own personal love triangle.  She has a boyfriend back home that she has to leave behind while she visits her dad over the summer, meets another one over their that could be interested and might lead to something.  The story is far enough along, you will find out for yourself; but the new guy, there is something mysterious about him as well.  I do hope this story gets to let you see him unfold.
