Rough Waves is a story of a New Zealand girl that loves to surf.  Of course, there are rough waves that you surf on, and rough ways that you just have to survive from life itself.  Maddie has quite a few rough waves to wade through.  She lost her father, so it was just her and her Mum.  There was always Hunter, her best friend to lean on.  She was always just part of his family, and he with hers.  But then Hunter starts to grow up.  And the new girl, Emily, a bronzed brunette beauty takes notice.  As they are dating, Maddie realizes that her feelings are growing too.  It's that typical three-ring circus where everyone pushes and pulls, but never in the same moments.  I don't want to give a lot of spoilers, but it is a tear-jerker with a happy ending for everyone.  Well, most everyone.  For some it's bittersweet.  But only the jerks are left unhappy!  Poor Skylar!  (Not really.)  Read the book and find out.
