Episode 1: Rebel Alliance
In most alien invasion stories, the aliens always fail to conquer the planet Earth due to have a serious flaw in their plan, they have a blaring weakness, or they never wanted to conquer the planet in the first place.
This isn't anything like that. Here, aliens WANT and HAVE conquered the planet. A planet of 7 billion humans and even more animals were all defeated and at the mercy of the Shade, an all powerful empire that destroyed anything in their path. The Shade were so powerful and feared, that no one ever thought of standing up to them and surviving.
Especially not one of their own. Not every solider, even on Earth, was treated with respect. They could just escape, right? Well, no. They would die for even thinking it. So there never was a traitor of The Shade.
And even if there was, they'd be killed. Right?
Right?
Right?
Right?
Screens blared, showing all kinds of conversion camps being built across the planet, either already finished or getting their first prisoners. A head turned to another screen, showing Earth's very few defenses being taken out. Such as nuclear missiles. Primitive.
But then, the door opened and someone stepped in. "Commander Shard!"
Shard lifted his head and turned to see a Slasher Shade. He grinned before stepping over. "I take it you have done what I asked?"
The green Slasher nodded before he and Shard stepped out of the room and towards the laboratory. "The science officers and medics have been working as fast as they can, and the project was a success. General Kreji will be online shortly."
Shard grinned again. "Very good. And the experimentation I requested?"
The green Slasher tilted his head. "Uhhh, I'm sorry. I don't remember you telling me anything about any requested experimentation."
"I believe I've requested it now. Once General Kreji has been freed, I will send you the details of my request later." Shard said with a laugh before they stepped into the lab, where various colored Shades in lab coats roamed the room, but only a few were staring at a test tube, with a sillouhete of a rather bulky Shade inside. Shard took one step forward. "Open the tube."
A scientist jumped before seeing Shard and the green Slasher and quickly nodding. "O-Of course, sire!" He then rapidly tapped at a keyboard near the test tube before the glass containment opened.
Smoke came spewing out before there was red eyes and mechanical whirring as the bulky Shade stepped out. They were black, like all Shades, with hints of red across their body...their now mechanical and steel body. The Shade had been damaged to the point where no medical technology could bring him back to his original state.
So they did the next best thing.
The Shade saw Shard and then bowed, with a robotic voice changer coming from their (used to be) throat. "General Kreji at your service." He said, his voice dead and void of emotion, along with its metallic echo.
Shard nodded. "At ease, Kreji."
Kreji nodded before he stood and then turned his head with a mechanical whir. But then his red eyes went wide when he saw the green Slasher next to him. "Who...is this?"
Shard was about to speak before the green Slasher spoke up. "I am General Talon. I was the one who brought you into the lab to be repaired at the command of Shard. I guess this makes us friends, huh? We're both generals and I kind of saved your life?"
Kreji just narrowed his robotic eyes before mechanical tendrils suddenly sprouted from his back, crackling with electricity as their red claws shined in the laboratory. Scientists gasped and quickly ran out of the lab.
General Talon wasn't intimidated. "Oh! I see the tendrils are working!"
Kreji was about to attack, but Shard grabbed his arm. "Kreji. I don't recall commanding you to attack General Talon."
"But Commander, this is-"
"Not your replacement." Shard growled. "And I don't recall commanding you to attack General Talon."
"But-"
"Are you questioning my authority, general?" Shard hissed, showing his fangs and his eyes going green. "You will not attack a fellow Shade unless I say so or you are a higher up of command. Am I clear?"
Kreji gave one more look at Talon before his tendrils retracted into his body. "I apologize, Commander Shard. It seems I...am losing myself with this new form."
"No worries." Talon said simply. "The Rebel Alliance pretty much murdered you."
"I...see. I request to see this battle."
"We do not have it recorded." Shard said. "But speaking of The Rebel Alliance, you must get better acquainted with our enemies. They are still at large. Come with me."
Kreji nodded and followed his master out of the room.
"Commander Shard, what should I do?" Talon asked.
"Take a hover car and do an evening patrol."
Talon snorted. "Good one, sir! Treating me like a lackey when I'm a general."
Shard narrowed his eyes. "I wasn't joking. Do you want the upgrade, General?"
"O-Of course, sir!"
"Then you will obey my orders without question." Shard said. "Am I clear?"
"Yes, sir. I'll go out on patrol." Talon said as he walked away just after Shard and Kreji left the room.
Talon groaned once his master was out of earshot. "Stupid! I'm a General! Not a minion!!" He growled before getting inside a hover car and driving off across the city, and the location of the Shade base of operations, Feracon Junction.
As he drove around, he kept using the computers scanning systems to track for any surviving creatures or human beings, which he didn't find at all. All of the humans they didn't capture had been evacuated to some kind of secret base, one they would find soon.
Talon groaned before getting an idea and inputting something in the computer. "Scan for the Rebels."
The computer beeped before it only began to scan for the Rebels, but nothing yet.
The Rebel Alliance, or rather, Rebel Trio, were a small group of humans that worked together to try and escape Feracon Junction and take down the base of operations, which they had no idea was inside the very city they were trying to escape. Their leader had a different skin color than most humans, but a lot more humans had the same skin color, so it didn't matter.
Their leader was a former human solider named Nova, who was not only a criminal to The Shade for LEADING a resistance, but for stealing technology from The Shade. A flying device to be precise.
Their mechanic or robotics expert was a former human, now turned mutant named Macy. She always hid her face, but could never hide her tail. She had been captured long ago, but freed after she was turned into one of Earth's animals. A fox. And despite hiding her face, she would crack a joke.
The third member was the warrior. Completely unknown. Not even their gender was revealed. They had a voice changer, disguising themselves along with a helmet and silver armor. They often used a primitive weapon, a sword, much like a Slasher's blades, but handheld. The blade of the warrior's sword was purple...for some odd reason.
There WAS a fourth member of the Rebel Alliance, originally the third member before the warrior showed up...the fourth member was a Shade Traitor, and of course, was killed during the first year of the invasion. The warrior was then found and had taken the traitor's place.
Talon hadn't been lucky enough to ever encounter one of the Rebels. But he wanted to be the one to decapitate them, kill them, skin them, burn them, or better yet arrest them so he could taunt them and then win the upgrade.
Every Shade wanted to be upgraded. Yes, the process was painful, but in the end, it would be so worth it.
Talon smiled as he drove around, but his daydreaming was awaken with a loud noise. He looked from side to side before seeing the computer blaring red.
"What the?!" Talon then gasped. "I found one." He said in a maniacal voice, kicking down the door to the hover car and taking out his green blades.
The computer blared even louder before Talon saw a shadow. Talon grinned, that had to have been one of the Rebels.
Talon then hid in the shadows of an alley, waiting for the Rebel to be revealed in the light...but what he saw shocked him.
It was a Shade, a rather short one. Pointy horns, purple triangle on their head that showed they were a Slasher. But that wasn't what was odd...The Shade matched the exact description of the traitor...who was dead. But what was even WEIRDER...is that he and The Shade looked very much alike.
Talon shook this off before charging and then slashing the traitor in the back of the head, roaring.
Purple blood spewed from the the traitor's head, covering Talon's blades as their body fell limp.
Talon laughed in pure triumph. before stomping on the traitor's dead corpse. "I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU SURVIVED, BUT YOU SURE AS HELL DIDN'T SURVIVE THAT!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
But as the green Slasher laughed, he felt his foot hit the ground. Talon became confused before looking down...and seeing the corpse gone. His eyes widened before he looked at his blades. Not an inch of purple blood.
Talon looked from side to side. "I...I must have been hallucinating." He then shook it off. "Just find the rebel." He then went back to the hover car and went inside. "Computer, where is the rebel?"
"There are no rebels in this area." It said flatly.
"What do you mean? You just tracked one a few minutes ago."
The computer was silent before it dinged. "There are no records of a rebel showing up in the last few minutes."
"Hours?"
"Incorrect. There was never a rebel here."
