Chapter 5- Poison
(Before we begin, a word of warning! There will be blood in this chapter, so please, read at youre own risk.)
POV: Stress
Viper was nice. I was quite fond of her.
Now, although it was terrible she couldn't get back home, it was fun having Viper around. She wasn't venomous as her name might suggest. I hummed as I started to load glass into shulkers for my glass shop. Tango was going to stop by later to buy some for a project he was working on. I finished packing up my shulkers and headed over through the Nether over to the shopping district portal. Happily walking over to my shop, I collected the diamonds, and in their place, left stacks of glass.
I stepped back through the Nether portal and headed home. Warping back through mine, I appeared back at my base. Viper said she would come over today, before Tango showed up. Tango was going to come in an hour, so she must be here soon.
I got a message from my communicator (author here, I made the change from phone to communicator lol, just seemed to fit better), seeing the new message.
TangoTek has joined the game.
I hadn't expected him to come so soon. Hurriedly, I grabbed some glass from my supplies and loaded two full shulkers. I had no clue how much Tango would need. Hopefully two shulkers would be enough. He would probably over in a minute or two. Then it struck me.
Viper was supposed to be on her way over.

POV: Tango
I was flying over to Stresses base to buy glass when I noticed something... odd.
It almost just looked like a burning zombie. At closer look, I realized it was indeed a human. Probably just Grian. Maybe his elytra had broken and was going to see if Stress had a spare. Who knows.
But, wait, Grian always checked his elytra durability before going anywhere... It couldn't be Grian. Quietly, I flew down and landed on a jungle tree without a sound. Among closer inspection, what I saw surprised me.
It was a person I had never seen before. A woman, by the looks of it. She wore a red sweatshirt, and had brown hair, but it was much too long to be Stresses hair. She was going toward Stresses base. I was sure of it now.
I went behind her, covered by all the bush in the jungle, I pulled out a bow. I had a couple of poison arrows in my enderchest from an earlier project. Drawing the bow back, I aimed and released.
It hit her in the shoulder. She made almost a hissing sound, like a creeper. She stumbled forward a few steps before looking back at me. Her already dark sweatshirt darkened wit blood. I already had another arrow at the ready. Aiming, I shot, and missed. She had somehow dodged it.
Was the poison not effecting her? She didn't seem disoriented from the poison. I swiftly moved out of the bushes. She looked terrified. Suddenly, white-silver wings sprouted from her back, some of the feathers red, and she went off running. She was doing something as she was running, but I didnt have a clue of what. I raced after her. It was a struggle for me to keep up. I wasnt slow, she was just fast. She opened her red and silver wings, and tried to thrust herself in the air. I hadnt noticed until now, but her wings were mangled and broken. As she once again tried to fly, getting a small bit higher this time, I gripped one of her wings and pinned her down.
"Who are you?" I growled at her.
She made a hissing sound and was gone. There was a searing pain in my left wrist. I howled at the pain, crumpling up into a little ball, holding my wrist and yelling. Whoever that person was, she was going to pay.

POV: Viper
The arrow hit me in the shoulder. I hadnt expected it. I, unintentionally, made a hissing sound. I stumbled forward and looked back. A tall man stood there with a bow and arrow. He had blonde hair, and creepy red eyes. His hands drew back as he aimed for me again, shooting. I swiftly took up snake form and moved, shifting back into my regular form in milliseconds.
Opening my wings, which I knew were broken, I went off running. Maybe if I could get a running start and jump high enough...
Running through the brush, I found a spot clear enough and jumped. I got a few feet into the air before falling back down. I could hear, well, whoever they were, coming. Pushing myself back up, I flattened my wings against my back and kept running. Then, swiftly, opened them and jumped. I got higher this time, before I was tugged back down.
Whoever they were, they had gotten one of my wings. Pinning me down, I got a better look at them. It was a man, probably a few inches taller than me, with bright blonde hair. But the weird thing was, well, he had red eyes. Red. Eyes.
In a slow, threatening voice, they growled something. "Who are you?"
I let out a hiss and morphed. As a way to defend myself, I bit him while he was still confused. It would hurt, sure, but he wouldnt die. The poison would subside in a few minutes.
I hard him screaming as I morphed back, running through the jungle. I knew someone, most likely Stress, the closet hermit, would hear the screaming and come to the mans aid. I heard her yell his name, which seemed to be Tango.
I kept running until I was far enough into the jungle. I took off my sweatshirt, which I didnt do often, and twisted to look at my shoulder. My normally-gray t-shirt was now stained with red around my back and shoulder. I slipped my sweatshirt back on. I could find another shirt later.

POV: Tango
It hurt. So much. I grabbed my wrist, screaming at the pain, when I heard a yell, someone calling my name. It must have been Stress. She was the closest. I heard rockets, and Stress landed next to me. She looked at me, pulling out her communicator.
StressMonster101: Hey, X, can you get over to my base?
XisumaVoid: On my way.
It had probably been 5 minutes since the 'incident', and the pain started to subside. X and Stress were talking quietly. I was just a crumpled, crying mess on the floor. Slowly, I pushed myself up onto my knees. Stress rushed over and gave me a regen potion. I downed it happily. I was already feeling better.
"Hey, Tango, what happened?" Xisuma asked me, his tone soft.
"I, uh.. i-" I stuttered.
"Hey, take youre time, love." Stress told me quietly.
After a few moments, I gathered up my courage and told them the entire story. Xisuma and Stress looked worried.
XisumaVoid: Hey Scar, can you come over to Stresses base?
GoodTimesWithScar: On my way.
