(Chapter Warnings: None. eyyy)

So me and my family went on a trip and I made a music playlist for the car ride instead of just listening to hamilton and now its just my normal chill playlist so i get my daily dose of Hamilton while the other songs I like are still there lol. Might need to name it something other than 'Car Jam', ey?

Oh! And i'm glad to announce that I have written the prologue for my next AU, which will not continue to be written nor be published until Shapeshifter is complete. I have one of the five designs I need, so even if I decided to do Shapeshifter and that AU at the same time, it would take a while. Thanks to everyone of the Freeze or Fall discord server who helped me with the first design :3

POV: Scar

Bdubs wants me to run for mayor. I dont see why I shouldn't... We do need to get rid of the mycelium menace, that's for sure. The shopping district needs rid of it. 

I guess I should have Bdubs come over. To discuss... mayoral things? 

I had been using signs to advertise my running, what was wrong with that? Sure, everyone else had fancy maps, but we were just different. 

I cant believe nobody liked my suit. What even are Power Puff Girls? Cmon, all anyone needs is the Lion King. Those are the best movies ever. 

(The reason im writing about Hakuna Matata is because im listening to it lmao. Everyone needs a little bit of Lion King in their lives.)

Hakuna Matata- 

"It means no worries, for the rest of your days-" I sing quietly. It was a catchy song, what can I say? 

"Its our problem free philosophy,"  

I should sort my chest monster... Maybe later. 

"Hakuna Matata!"

Maybe I should watch the Lion King later... Im sure Bdubs wouldn't mind watching it with me. I hope Viper didn't eat all the popcorn... 

I pulled out my communicator to text Bdubs. 

GoodTimesWithScar: hey bdubs, you wanna come over later? to discuss... mayoral things?

BdoubleO100: That sounds suspicious 

GoodTimesWithScar: I want to watch the Lion King-

BdoubleO100: Fine. Be there in 10. 

I smiled. I put it back in the pocket of my mayoral pants. Sounds pretty fancy if you ask me...

Third Person POV:

Bdubs had indeed arrived 10 minutes later. 

Scar welcomed him in to one of the larger village houses. Larry was a bit too small, and this house had couches and a tv. He flicked on the tv and scrolled through Disney+ until he found the Lion King. He clicked on it and flopped down on one couch. Bdubs sat on another. 

Not even 10 minutes through the movie, Bdubs decides he needs to go get water. Scar tells him there are glasses and a kitchen in Larry the snail, so thats where Bdubs went.

Now, this you might call bad timing. Because Viper was making hot chocolate in Larry's kitchen when Bdubs walked in. 

They both just stared at each other. It was weird, it really was. Even though it was only a few seconds, it was strange. Bdubs drew his sword. 

"Eh, hi-" Viper started. 

"Who are you?" Bdubs growled. 

"My name is Viper-" 

"Why are you in Scar's village?" 

"Cause I-" 

That was how far Viper got before Bdubs took a chance and swung his sword at her. Scar had made a mistake not telling either of them about the other. Viper had already shifted. She moved over in seconds and shifted back, leaving Bdubs confused. 

"Please-" She started before Bdubs lunged again. Once again, she shifted in less than a second. She didnt want to hurt any more people. But the snake instincts in her told her otherwise. So she struck. 

She barely got him. But, alas, it was still enough to do damage. She just so happened to strike one of his hands. He dropped the sword with a scream, clutching his hand against his chest.

Viper had already shifted back, and slapped her hand against her mouth to keep from sobbing. Then she climbed down the ladder and was gone. Leaving Bdubs to wither in pain. 

"Scar!" Viper screamed when she made it to the center of the village. Scar was too absorbed into the movie to notice. So Viper started checking the houses. 

She found Scar in the third house she checked. 

"Scar!" She sobbed. "I didn't mean to-" 

He jumped up, although he was confused. "What happened?" He asked her quietly. 

"The guy that was over here-" 

She had barely finished before Scar shot out the door to Bdubs. Viper shot off too, sprinting, but not deeper into the village. She ran out of the village and out into the jungle. She made one stop before she left. Her flute.

"Bdubs?" Scar called. 

"Scar!" He managed to yell. 

Scar climbed the ladder, a swirling purple-red potion in his hand. He found Bdubs and threw it on the ground next to him. It immediately made Bdubs start to feel better. He sat up without Scars help, looking at his hand. 

"Who was that?!" He asked. It sounded more like a threat. 

"Uh, that was Viper." 

"Who?"

"Viper. She's been staying with me for two weeks now. I, uh, accidentally created a portal. And I kinda brought her back to show her HermitCraft. And the portal kinda closed-" 

Bdubs sighed. "Have you told X?" 

Scar nodded. "Stress, X, Iskall, Mumbo, Grian, Tango, Impulse, and you and I know bout her." 

Bdubs looked flustered, if thats the word you would use to describe his face. 

"Why so many?"

"They've all had run-in's."

"Can she teleport? Cause it seemed like she could."

"Nah, she can shapeshift. Into a snake." 

"Oh. Wait, what?!" 

"I dont know. But, sorry to tell you, but now so can you-" He told Bdubs quietly. 

Bdubs shook his head. "No. That can't be right." 

"Tango and Grian can." 

Bdubs now looked down right scared. He didnt want to be able to shapeshift. That wasn't how the universe worked... Shapeshifters dont exist.

Not what i planned to happen int this chapter, but thats alright! Its all good. 

Now, if you want, feel free to suggest what bdubs will shift to :3 . Cause i totally didnt expect this to happen and I have no clue what he'll shift to lol. Ive also decided what Impulse's shift-animal will be uwu.
