*When Skolris disappeared.

     Nymos stared blankly at the news when he heard the rustling of covers behind him. He looked back to see Skolris rising from her mattress and rubbing her eyes.  She's up early...

     "Nymos, im going back to our region. I want to tell my mother that im ok. I don't want to leave her alone, worrying that i may be gone forever."Skolris whispered. "Why are you up so early anyway?"

   Nymos smiled and shrugged his shoulders,"i always get up this early. I like the dark. I will wait for your return and if anyone asks ill tell them your out hunting." He said. Nymos watched as Skolris shrank smaller, her bones reconfiguring in a sickening crunch. He watched her exit as a tiny spider and be could help but feel a twinge of envy. If only i had a power like that.

     He turned his head back towards the television. He watched quietly for a few more hours, sometimes switching the channel to history or space.

     Finally, Antariel came over and plopped down next to him. "Where's Skolris?" She asked. Nymos gestured towards the door,"she went back home to check on her mother. She'll be back soon." I hope she will.

     Antariel followed his hand,"does Ananucas know?" Nymos shook his head,"no, and if he asks, tell him she's out hunting." He said Antariel nodded in agreement and turned back towards the screen.

     *Later in the day

"Why is it that we always get the areas with the scarcest amount of food?"Antariel complained hopelessly. Nymos didn't look backwards at her. He had gotten used to her amount of complaints already but sometimes, it still got on his nerve. "I guess, he just thinks we are that good.." he said simply.

    He held a spear in his right hand and scanned the undergrowth. Is that a deer? He squinted his eyes and peered at a fairly sized figure. It moved and fixed it's dark stare on him.

    "Antariel, stop.." he whispered. Then, with careful steps, he crept forward without a sound. His foot accidentally snapped a twig and the deer's ears swiveled towards them, it's eyes widened and tail up and frozen. Go!

    He lunged forward with a large leap and just caught the deer's back leg. An arrow whistled past and lodged in it's neck from Antariel. This deer is as dead as Antariel and Skolris when i take off my shoes. Such a nasty smell.

    The both dragged their kill back to the cave. It was now late afternoon and the sky was beginning to have a darker tint to it. They deposited the carcass near the kitchen on a stone table before two people thanked them and took it. Then, Nymos followed Antariel into their 'house' cave.

    "Where is she? Where's Skolris? She said that she would be back soon! It's past soon.." Antariel fretted. "Im sure she's fine." Nymos said in a fake tone of carelessness. What if something really did happen to her? Something that could ruin our future life togeth- wait no.. that will never happen. She would never feel that way towards me. Never have the feeling i get whenever she saves the day with one of her cool ideas.

     "You like Skolris, don't you Nymos?" Antariel suddenly said while waving her eyebrows in a squiggle-like motion. Nymos rubbed the back if his neck,"uuhh... nooo. Why would you think thaaat?" He said awkwardly. Antariel smiled cheekishly,"cuuuzzzz, you're bluuuuuushiiiinnnngggggggg."

     "Never mind... that. What we should focus on is right now and here. Im sure she will be here in no time."

*1 day later :)

     What's happening? Why am I glowing? Nymos fixed his gaze on his hands. It was dark outside and he could see his hands glow a bright golden color.

     It was currently 5:46 in the morning and he was just stretched out on the couch like it was home when.. this happened. He looked over at Antariel and his eyes widened. She also had a strange glow around her, except it was green.

     Then, suddenly, the world turned black and it felt like someone had punched him straight in the stomach but it soon wore off. He felt, strange. Everything was back to normal and it all happened so suddenly. It was if his life flashed before his eyes.

     Antariel rubbed her face and looked at Nymos,"what happened? I feel sore all over." Nymos nodded silently in agreement. Antariel scowled,"i think something weird is going on here." She said.

     Nymos sighed,"yah, i think so too captain obvious. You're so helpful." He said sarcastically. Antariel turned her glare towards him and he rolled his eyes.

    Antariel stood from her bed and looked outside and then at the clock."why are you up so early?" Nymos shrugged,"because I can." He said simply.

      He reached towards the tv remote when he suddenly heard a small gasp. "What no-"he stopped when he looked over his shoulder. A small blue bird fluttered in place with a surprised expression on it's face."is that you?" Nymos asked in wonder.

      Nymos himself felt a sudden electrifying jolt run through his body. He could see many things flashed into his vision. A wolf? Falcon? Tiger shark? And a Vampire? What the heck is going on here?

     "You too! Look Nymos! You can shapeshift now! Me and you!" Antariel yelled. Nymos looked down at him self and noticed that he was flapping hos arms like a bird. In fact, he was a bird! A falcon!

     "My form is cooler." He said teasingly. Antariel let a cross smile slide onto her tiny blue bird face. She shook her head,"naaah."

     Nymos saw two other forms urging to be released from his mind for the first time and he let them. He sank to the floor and let himself become a shark for a split second before turning into a black wolf and then into a human.

    Nymos encouraged Antariel to do the same thing and she did. Antariel pointed to his face and he raised his hands,"what's wrong with my face?" He asked.

     Antariel laughed,"everything! But really, you have fangs! I think you're a vampire water... thing. And now im a nature werewolf thing!" She said exitedlely.

    Nymos, for once in his life, also felt the urge to be happy. He felt... special in a way. Nobody else had multiple powers, well, except for Skolris. But, he may finally have an important role in this journey.
