I am like the depth of the wind
Incalculable
So weightlessly powerful
When was the last time I sounded so poetic
Forget it
I can't remember
The lines connecting my thoughts are severed
My mind a space now full of asteroids
Dangerously colliding into each other
The light is hiding underneath the rubble
Ideas trapped in the dust of trouble
Will I dream again?
If my sleep is broken
Eyes wide awake
Ambition frozen
Vision now closed
Because my eyes remain open
So I
Day dream but it's..
Not enough
When the faculty for dreams
Won't open up
And yet I'm like the depth..
Of the wind
Incalculable
So weightlessly powerful
But it seems I weigh less and less
I'm hungry
But, 'All you can eat,' is distress
Weighed down by the experience
Of cultivating hope
In hopelessness
There's a difference
In the heaviness of the real thing
Because I am like the depth..
Of the wind
Even though I feel like nothing
I must be felt
Even though I can't be grasped
I can be held
Or rather, I can not
I forget, you see
I blow by just like my memory
It's gone... until it isn't
It doesn't leave, it just isn't
Till it is
Like me
Because I am like the depth..
Of the stars
Just to throw you off orbit a little bit
A red hot inferno at heart
And yet so light-hearted
Giving light at no cost but my own
And yet I am just one
Of many
Who could tell the difference?
When I am like the wind
And so what should I do?
Become the Storm
Become the Sun
Become all that I must be
Until there is none
Not even one
Like me
Because really
There isn't
It's just that..
It's hard for many to tell the difference
Because they perceive largely
Through the senses
And there are things too high
Things too bright
Things too great
For the senses
At least until they get a little help
I am like the depth..
Of the unknown
Crowned on the throne
Of bottomlessness
My worth cannot be drawn in your world
So whether I'm worth it to one
Or worthless to another
I'm not any less
Or any better
Because I am like the depth..
Nope
Because I am me.
