Lucifer and the rest of the brothers soon heard the sound of you a little too late and he and his brothers were all shocked, they were in their demon forms as well since they had thought they felt a different demon's present.

When explained to Lucifer about what happened of course he looks over at Mammon who had nervously laughed as he admits reluctantly that he had been keeping the book hidden so he could try to sell it. He knew it was a curse book but didn't really know what it actually does.
