It was lunch time and you were at your school, Roosevelt High School, hanging out with your two best friends, April O'Neil and Casey Jones. You guys were talking and laughing, joking around like you always do at least until April and Casey started arguing over something and you stopped listening at some point. Then, you remembered having that you now have Leo's phone number. You smiled and took out your phone as you started texting him, no longer paying attention to April and Casey bickering quietly over something.

You: Hey, Leo! It's me, your little Miss Fearless.

On the other side, Leo was just walking out of the dojo after finishing their usual training session with the guys and Master Splinter. He paused as he heard a buzz from his T-phone and stopped walking to check his phone while Raph, Donnie and Mikey continued to make their way to the kitchen to make some lunch. Realizing that it was a text from you, a wide smile appeared on his face and chuckled at your text as he sat down on the couch and started typing a reply.

Leo: Hey, (Y/n). I was just starting to wonder when you were going to text me.

You heard your phone buzzed and you picked it up immediately. A wide and happy smile appearing on your face when you see that Leo was replying to your text. You couldn't help, but felt your cheeks warming up at his text.

You: Well, I am texting you now, aren't I? What are you up to? My friends are bickering over something and I am feeling so bored, xd.

Leo: Just finished training with my brothers. And dang, wish I was there to save you from boredom and make you feel better.

You smiled and continued to text him, not giving attention to your surroundings.

You: Aw, you're already making me feel better by texting me and keeping company like this. What are you doing now?

Leo couldn't help, but felt his own cheeks warming up at your text.

Leo: Just about to grab some lunch. You?

You: Texting with you, of course😉

Damn, Leo felt himself blushing even more at your reply. What was this he was feeling?

Leo: So...I am your new friend, huh?

You: Of course! You're my new, special secret friend and if you weren't, we wouldn't be talking now, would we?

Leo chuckled once again, happy to know that you were really enjoying his company just as he enjoys yours. 

Leo : Good to have one, especially someone like you. I am glad that we met and became friends like this.

Now, it was your turn to blush as you read his text and bit on your lips nervously. You weren't going to lie. As much as you enjoy, having Leo as your friend, you also know that you have a small crush on him after realizing how you reacted upon receiving his number.

You: Me too. Say, how about we meet at my place and watch Space Heroes together tonight? I will make some popcorn and pizza.

At those particular two words in your text that he absolutely adores, Leo perked up excitedly as he started typing a reply.

Leo: Oh my shell, Space Heroes?! You like Space Heroes?! And yes, of course! Which time do I need to come?"

You giggled slightly, feeling excitement through his text and not realizing that April and Casey has stopped bickering and turned their attention to you, hearing you laugh. They raised their brows and shared a look with each other, seeing you smiling giddily at your screen.

You: Are you kidding me? It's my favorite show on the entire world! And I am getting the feeling that it is yours too. And just come a bit earlier than usual, that's okay for me.

Leo: How about around 9 o' clock?

You: Works for me.

Leo: Cool! And you guessed it right. Hey, what do you say if I bring some of my comics of Space Heroes that I have?

And you perked up excitedly at his text as you happily started typing a reply, completely unaware that April and Casey were still observing your unusual excited behavior. 

You: Great idea! I'll prepare some of mine too, we could even swap for a while if there are issues we haven't read!

Leo: Sounds like a plan. I can't wait to hang out with you tonight.

You: It's a date 😉 and hey, Leo. Guess what?"

Leo started blushing once again when he sees the word 'date' in your text.

Leo: What?

You :We're Space Hero buddies❤️!

Leo laughed at your text, finding you adorable as he continued typing a reply unaware that Donnie was coming out of the kitchen to tell him that lunch was ready, but paused as he hears Leo laughing and sees him smiling while looking at his phone. And that behavior was awfully familiar to Donnie as he raised a brow and watched Leo with amusement in silence.

Leo: We sure are.

Before Leo could text you any further, Donnie cleared his throat to make his presence known. And much to his amusement, Leo jumped with surprise as he finally looked up from his phone. "U-Uh, hey Donnie. What's wrong?" Leo asked, quickly tucking away his phone as he stood up while Donnie continued to look at him with an amused smile on his face.

"Just wanted to tell you that lunch is ready. What were you looking at that it made you smile like this?" Donnie questioned and Leo started to become nervous, quickly racking his brain up for an excuse. "U-uh, nothing. I-I was just checking my phone and found something really...adorable," Leo tried to explain, and paused for a moment as you came back on my mind and the word 'adorable' slipped from his mouth before he knew it. "Adorable, huh? I wonder what it's about. Can I see it sometimes?" Donnie teased, fully knowing that was not the case.

"Uhh...sure, maybe some other time. Let's go get some lunch for now before Mikey eats up all of it. Boy, I'm really starving today," Leo said and quickly walked away into the kitchen without waiting for a reply while Donnie watched him with amusement and followed.

Meanwhile, with you,

You smiled and continued to type another text to Leo, unaware that Casey was now starting to call you, trying to get your attention, but receiving no reply.

"Hey (Y/n)? Earth to?" April asked, waving her hand in front of you slightly to get yourattention but you still didn't take your eyes off your phone screen. You were smiling and giddily looking at your phone so much that the two were starting to grow a little suspicious.

Finally having enough of it, Casey kicked your leg from under the table, successfully snapping you out of your happy trance. "Oww! What the hell was that for, Jones!?"you yelled, shooting a glare in his way as you put down your phone. "You've been smiling and blushing at your phone for 20 minutes now. What's up with you?" Casey asked and you froze as you quickly started looking for an excuse. "Uhh, just snooping around my gallery and looking at my anime boyfriends. And I found someone new who is seriously...cute," you lied, but told half of the truth at the last sentence as you thought of Leo. 

Casey and April shared a look with each other, not really believing your excuse, but decided to drop the subject as they shrugged. "So...you coming?" April asked, shaking the topic off while you looked at her confused, "To...?"

"Uhh...to go watch movies with us tonight. There's a super awesome movie showing lately," April said.

"Oh, no thanks. I am good tonight," you said just as your phone buzzed again. You looked at it and started texting again, making Casey and April looked at each other confused once again. "But you never so no when it comes to movies," April pointed out, slightly surprised that you were this time.

"Oh, I have to stay at home for tonight, since my dad won't be around for dinner," you replied absentmindedly, not taking your eyes off your phone. Just then, the bell rang and you internally let out a sign in relief as it has saved you from making more excuses.

"Well, I'll see you guys after school, bye," you said, quickly gathering your stuff and heading to your next class as you texted Leo that you will have to go and him, replying that he has to too and that he'll see you later tonight.

The rest of the day went by quickly with you being so excited to see him tonight.
