Ashley outfit above

Ashley walked from the city bus that she has to take to get close enough by the school to walk. Ashley finally enters the school after 10 minutes of walking. She was walking through the hallway when someone stops her.

Principal Mendez: Excuse me young lady but you're out of dress code.

Ashley: How?

Principal Mendez: You don't have no sleeves in that shirt.

Ashley: Well I had seen many come through here in tank tops.

Principal Mendez: DON'T YOU GET LOUD OR DISRESPECTFUL WITH ME.

Ashley: I wasn't. I was just saying---

Principal Mendez: No! YOU DON'T SAY OR THINK YOU JUST DO WHAT YOURE TOLD. KELPESH! NOW YOU HAVE AFTER SCHOOL DETENTION FOR AN HOUR AND I WILL BE MAKING A CALL TO YOUR PARENTS! NOW YOU HAVE UNTIL SECOND PERIOD TO GET IN DRESS CODE OR YOU WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR TWO DAYS!

The principal than stormed off while others snickered from Ashley getting in trouble. She was slight in embarrassed on how she was just yelled at than she felt an arm go around her and she looked up into Mr. Shakespeare's eyes and saw Leati and she smiled.

Ashley: Hi.

Leati: Don't worry about that old bag of wax. She just mad cause her husband is banging someone half their age. (Ashley laughs and other girls stared) Besides she's mad because she ain't naturally beautiful. (Flashes a smile and Ashley melts inside)

Ashley: You think I'm beautiful.

Leati: (Lifts her chin and looks her directly in the eyes) You should know that you are.

Ashley: (Clears her throat) You should smile more often.

Leati: You should be out of dress code more often so I can be able to give you my coat.

Leati takes off his jacket and put it around Charlotte. They stopped walking to look in each other's eyes until someone came skipping over pulling Leati.

April Mendez- The beautiful tomboy that goes by AJ.

April: There you are. Hey honey.

Ashley looked confused.

Leati: What is it AJ?

April: (Whining) You promised. (Pokes out her lip)

Leati: Listen I have to go but I'll catch you later.

With what was just said and happen Ashley stood in the hallway confused than she felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see one of the girls who helped through things at her the first day of school.

Kateema Scott- Football jock's girlfriend; cheerleader co-captain, urban and chic dresser, popular, sarcastic; Hispanic and African American; talked with a Spanish accent; also a track runner

Kateema was sucking on red sucker and had a red crop top with short sleeves.

Kateema: To think you really had a chance. He flirts and does every girl that sticks their butt out and you happen to be the new freshly fallen snow who don't know no better. He's playing you and when it comes to Miss April Mendez cancel it she's the principal and assistant principal daughter so she call the shots and Leati is the one in her fire.

Ashley thought about those words as Kateema bumped passed her.

Ashley attended track practice and this will make week two of school. Yes, she made the team. Ashley was lining up for a practice run but first they were practicing the stance and Ashley almost fell over being distracted by the situation in the hallway. Ashley turned when she heard laughter and talking and it was April Mendez and some of her minions. She was glad to see a familiar face in the track stands, Vale Anoa'i.

April: Hi.

Ashley: Hey.

April: I'm April.

Ashley: I'm Ashley.

April: Well ASHLEY why were you talking with Leati?

Ashley: Because it's a free country.

April: Cool but he's mine so stay away, k. (Sarcastically)

April skipped away and did petty things throughout practice to bother Ashley. After track Ashley ran from the bus to her house and threw down her bag.

Ashley did her homework and fixed herself some Chinese rice from last night leftovers. She was watching Tom & Jerry when a knock came at her door then the doorbell rang.

Ashley: WHAT?! (Looks up) Oh Leati, sorry. What are you doing here?

Leati: Do you have my jacket? My mom will kill me if I don't have it.

Ashley: (Mumbles) Or will April? (Rolls her eyes)

Leati: What? (Ashley gets the jacket and hands it to him) What's sup with you? I mean I know—

Ashley: Leati let me stop you okay. I know. I know that you date April and that's fine---

Leati: But I---

Ashley: But I wish you would have told me before I started liking you.

Leati: What? For one I don't have a girlfriend and it sure hell ain't April Mendez. She's my partner for some dance presentation for Senior Night and she's liked me since seventh grade but I don't like her. What she came to you and ranted on how I was her's? Don't believe everything you here especially if it didn't come from the horse's mouth.

Ashley: Wow, don't I feel stupid.

Leati: You shouldn't. We all have the habit of sticking out own foot in our mouth but that's okay. Listen I have to go. Have a good night, get rest and don't worry about what others think and feel. You're too beautiful for wrinkle lines. (Kisses her forehead and leaves)
