The winning

He walked away, he actually walked away?!

How stubborn can one person be? he didn't even let me explain...

Now I have no idea where he's buggered off to and knowing him in his current state he will do something stupid.

I tried to brush this off, took my winnings, and made my way to the door. I was abruptly stopped and dragged away by a strong arm that was tugging at me. As we got into the room I tackled the person to the ground so I was uptop him.

"You really like that position on me now don't ya?"

He said with a ravishing smirk. It was him, my teacher and now I suppose my rival? I moved off of him and stared him off as he slowly got up on two feet again.

"Good match," he says looking me in the eye. I have no idea if he's being sarcastic or not.

"Thanks, I know" I replied snarkily, unsure. He was about to say something but I walked away before a single word could escape his lips.

"Goodbye Sir, see you at school!" I say as I rushed past the doorman and out onto my motorcycle.

I drove off pretty quickly, but I didn't end up going home. I found myself at my old thinking place, god, I haven't been here in what it feels like years.

*Lukas pov;

I actually cannot believe that all along, it was her... It was she who caught my attention all along, it was the same person.

As she struts off out of the ring I start to run after her, but as I got to her I saw she was talking to a man, a man I have never seen before. Who was he, and why was she talking to him?

I will find out who he is.

But why do I care so much? She's just a schoolgirl for god's sake I am her teacher, and now, supposedly her enemy. Why can't things be simple? Why her of all people?

I snapped out of my weird trance as I heard my phone go off, it looks like I'm headed to The Winning tonight, to celebrate my misery of being beaten by a fucking girl.*

I love this place, the view of the beautiful city beneath me, the bright shining lights, the faded stars in the sky, the shimmering blue lake running through the city. I was in awe, in awe of the sublime nature. It shows me that no matter how dark the world we live in is, there is always hope, always something beautiful within it.

The peace was suddenly cut abruptly by the ringing of my phone. For fuck sake, can I never be left alone?

"HELLO!?"

'God, hello to you too little sister, no need to shout.'

"For fucks sake Matt what do you want?"

'I need a lift'

"Then catch a cab Matty oh my god"

'I don't have any money Alex please?'

"No Matt it's not my problem"

'Please, we can talk. I'll talk I promise'

"You promise?"

'*sigh* yes Alex I promise.'

" fine then, where are you?"

'at The Winning'

"A bar seriously, my god I'm on my way"

Looks like I'm going to the winning then, god knows how much of a state Matt's in...

I hop back on my bike and make my way to the winning. Parking it behind, I went in looking for my brother. I didn't need to search for long though because of course, he was at the bar.

I walked over to him and he looked down at me, then took another drink of his whisky.

"Come on then Matt, let's go home"

"Oh no, just stay Alex. Get loose!"

I laughed.

"Get loose... Who are you and what have you done to my grouchy big brother?"

"I dunno, he's tied up around here somewhere."

"Oh my god Matt shut up, we're going home come on."

He looks behind me and laughs.

"You sure you wanna go, Alex? Looks like somebody has their eye on you".

I started to look around, what the hell was he talking about?

"Matt what are you on, nobody would look at me!?"

He just rolled his eyes.

"Look behind you then, but don't make it too obvious," he says as he took another drink.

I turned around and saw something very unexpected. What the hell was he doing here?

He looked at me dead in the eyes,

almost as if he were trying to read me. But he then looked at me confused as he wasn't able to.

He walked over to me with a subtle look of amusement.

"Like what you see Miss Carbone?"

...

He was grinning ear to ear, knowing fine well that I was checking him out. Here he stood in front of me, towering over me making me feel insufficiently small.

"Mr. Parker, what are you doing here?"

He looks at me kind of agitated.

"This isn't school, call me Lukas. No need for formalities"

He said pretty sternly.

"Okay fine, Lukas, what are you doing here this fine evening?"

He chuckles softly.

"The same as you, I assume. Me drinking away my failure whilst you drink to your victory aye?"

"Actually no, look behind me."

He looks behind her and freezes. His face had no emotion to it whatsoever, whilst he crossed his arms, looking behind me.

"Who's that?"

"My brother, Matt."

As I said that he looked down at his feet. Looking as though he felt stupid.

"Oh, your brother?"

"Yes, my brother. Why, who did you think he was!" I said starting to laugh.

"I don't know" he concocted.

Our conversation was paused by a sudden loud groan behind me.

"Alex, let's go now."

I turned to see Matt standing up groggily making his way over to us. As he approached he had his head hung, almost as if he were about to fall asleep standing up.

"Shit Matty, I can't take you home."

He jerks his head up almost instantly and he looked at me slightly peeved.

"Why the hell not?"

"I have my bike remember, there's no way you are getting on the back of that."

He looked at me angrily.

"Well, what the fuck am I meant to do now?" He says as he sinks his head into his hands.

"Matt I have a few quid left, get a cab."

Matt nods his head, but before he could take it Lukas pushed his hand away.

"Lukas what the hell?!"

"You're not paying for a cab sunshine."

"Sunshine?, well what am I supposed to do then?"

"I'll drive you both back."

I looked him up and down, he did look sincere but...

"No thanks, he can get a cab. I have my bike anyway."

He rolls his eyes and mutters something before taking a deep breath.

"Don't worry about that, I can drive you home and you can get your bike back in the morning."

I paused to think for a second.

"Okay fine"

He looked at me smugly.

"I think most people say thank you, so you're welcome"

He laughed as I rolled my eyes dragging my brother out of the bar.

"Where's your car then?"

He looks up at me and smirks.

"Over there!"

I looked to where he was pointing and my jaw dropped down. Oh my god, parked there was nothing but a Bugatti Divo.

"Oh. My. Godddd!!!!"

I jamp up and clapped as I ran over to it, and Lukas followed me laughing to himself.

"C'mon then Miss Carbone, where to?"

"3 Blossom Drive."

he frowned a bit upon the mention of where I lived.

"Okay, off we go then, this means I can stalk you now!"

He started laughing dramatically loud.

"SHHHHHHHHH YOU'RE GIVING ME A MIGRAINE" hissed Matt.

And at that, we drove off dying of laughter.
