The Underground

I can't believe it...

I ACTUALLY cannot believe it. Trust me to literally run into my fucking substitute teacher on my first day.

time passed by as he had an introductory lesson, talking about himself and what he expects. He seems to be the CEO of a high-end business of some sort. I had however caught him staring at me in the corner of my eye, and so it seems the other girls had noticed too as I tried to ignore their glares burning into the back of my head.

The rest of the day was just draining, lesson after lesson alone. Seemingly I know it is yet the first day but I seem not to fit in with the others. I don't really blame people for avoiding me anyway, all id bring to them is a lot of baggage.

...

As the day finally drew to an end, I got my bike and drove along the narrow roads 'home'. as usual, my brother was not back yet so I was free to do as I pleased. sadly I could not chillax and watch Netflix or whatever as I had places to be. I got redressed, but into my jeans and my mom's leather jacket and headed back out on my bike.

...

As usual, I felt at peace as the wind streamed through my hair wrapping around my waist as I drove speedily along the roads into the dull alleyway of my 'safe place'. I jamp off my bike leaving it around the corner as I readied myself to go to the beaten door of The Underground. as usual, I knocked and waited for somebody to answer. the plank covering the looking space slid over as I was met with cold seemingly stoned eyes. "Password" it had grunted. I laughed at the forgetfulness as he may not have realized who I was. "Seriously Gabe? how can you not remember me!" I was yet again met with a cold stare as nothing but an exaggerated breath escaped his lips. I carelessly roll my eyes, "Fine then... Black Knight"

He looked startled by the mention of my stage name and abruptly scrambled for the door. "Sorry Miss" he rambled I nodded at him as I made my way down the narrow twisted stairway. I was met with the sound of loud grunts and cheers as I entered the underground, people everywhere. sweaty bodies taking over the dance floor, a trail of them leading into the main room, where the ring was. as they noticed me a path was cleared as I made my way past the ring and in through the secluded doors behind it. I was met by my sort of manager as he had told me of my opponents and what their deal was. There was a good sum of money ready if I were to win. so I gradually made my way out to the ring.

...

As I walked out I was met with deafening screams as they whooped at my appearance in the ring. I started to ready up as they were making their bets. finally, we were ready to fight. A rumbling startled me as loud antsy music started playing as my opponent dramatically entered the ring. I cannot, however, deny how strong he looked. if it weren't for my self-training he could have snapped me in half. I could see his lips curve into a slight smile as he had obviously underestimated me because I did not look as strong as he did. but do not underestimate me. I will, however, let him have his fun first.

The first bell had rung as we were signaled to start our first round. I think I may have some fun. I stood scarcely still as the burly man started to punch at me, circling at me trying to throw a good punch or a straight jab. I let him get me for a while as I do like the feeling of pain. After a while, I took my chance to shock. I ducked out of his way and swung round jabbing his stomach. He tries to jab at me again slowing down as I duck down and he misses me. I run up to him and left hook his jaw and get his knees unstabilizing him. he tries to hit back at me but as he had wasted all of his energy he again had missed. I went between his legs and surprised him by taking him out by his back legs, landing roughly on top of him as his body slammed against the ground. He had been knocked unconscious, pouring of blood, and was unable to stand up by the end of the countdown, therefore making me the winner as usual of today's match. this just proves that it's about strategy moreover muscle.

I looked out to the half happy and half pissed-off crowd as I stepped back to take a breather, but I stop in my tracks as I spot one person. I had a mask on which had I mentioned helps cover my identity, but I saw these pair of green eyes staring at me in shock, I am sure I had seen these green eyes before, but I am not sure where. Believe me, I will find out who he is before he even has the chance to find out who I am, for if he does, my cover will be blown...

I refocused myself on my surroundings looking away from the green-eyed man. I still need to figure out where I had seen him from. I exited the ring and met with the manager to get my money. I collected it and left, passing the grumpy doorman on my way out.

It still shocks me how I got to where I am now with what I have.

It all started out on the streets. I was 15 and was walking along when I had seen 2 men go up to this woman, well she looked like maybe 3 years older than me. Anyway, they were attempting to take her. For whatever reason, I went up to them and punched the shit out of them and god knows how managed to overpower them.

All I could remember from that was the look in the girl's eyes and the blood on my hands, she made eye contact with me but her eyes were filled with fear and horror as she looked down at my fucked up fists. She looked at me and ran off. We were not alone though out of nowhere this man came up to me and stared me up and down. I was wary at first but found out his intentions were to help me find myself, and that was the day I found out about The Underground.

That day changed my upside down life forever, I could put out my burning rage when I fight. My passion is boxing and what can I say? I'm bloody great at it.

I ran around the corner and hopped on my bike 'home'.

...

I turned into the drive to see my brother's car already parked there. Shit. I hopped off and as quietly as I could sneak into the house. But obviously, I couldn't get away with anything, could I? I turned around as I shut the door behind me to see my brother sitting on the couch glaring at me. Well, this should be fun, eh?
