Andy's POV
5 hours since Louise had gone missing and to say Patrick wasn't taking it well would be an understatement.
"Patrick we'll find her!"
Trying to reassure Patrick was pointless, it was his cousin who was missing and he'd stop at nothing to get her back especially after what happened last time.
"ANDY! ANDY!" The sound of his screams reverberated through my head...
"Andy, Andy? Are you okay?"
Patrick's voice jolted me back to reality.
"Wha.. oh yeah I'm fine, let's just find Louise."
I shook my head slightly as the car rolled down the road nearing the Vampire territory. Gripping the wheel tighter we moved along the road at a pace which was too slow for either us to feel safe but necessary if we wanted to find Louise. I looked around and realised that this road looked familiar so I glanced over at Patrick who had a glazed expression and a tear in his eye, I guess he recognised it too. I sped up hoping to get away from this place when I realised the shadows in the buildings were moving... "Patrick we're being tailed!" I whispered as he turned away from the window to grab his sword with shaking hands. Trying to ignore all memories about this place I faced forward and kept driving as my heartbeat pounded in my chest and Patrick's shaky breaths filled the tense silence in the car.
A bang on the roof snapped us into motion, Patrick jumped out of the car to face the vampire as I grabbed my swords and scrambled out to join him. More vampires appeared from the shadows as I felt my twin blades tear into their skin decapitating the ones closest to me. Looking around I could see Patrick was being surrounded and for the second time on this road I though 'This is where we're going to die.' Tears pricked at my eyes as I tried to make my way through the swarm of vampires but more seemed to rise up from the shadows. With aching muscles I made it to Patrick who looked exhausted and was as equally drenched in blood. The only light left in his eyes was from the setting sun when he turned to me and whispered "I'm sorry..." as the vampires kept coming and Patrick collapsed to the cold blood stained ground. Placing myself between the vampires and Patrick I fought for both of our lives but it wasn't enough as I faded from the conscious world whilst the vampire snaking his hand around my throat stood and laughed.
