chapter 2: shattered timeline
3rd person pov
Red's mind raced as she processed her mother’s words and the horrible sight she saw out the window.
The cell's cold stone walls closed in on her, a stark reminder of the bleak reality Whitney had created. Red knew she had to find a way out, to undo the damage and restore the true timeline.
Meanwhile, Gavin found himself in an all too familiar tower. The very tower that Rapunzel was locked away in for 18 years.
I have to get out of here he thought to himself as he went to open the door but in sheer horror there was no door.... No way out....
I'm trapped....
Hadley and Harley, were also separated from the group and found themselves in a twisted version of Auradon Prep. The school was a shadow of its former self, its walls covered in vines and decay. As they navigated the dark corridors, they encountered distorted memories of their past, echoes of a time that no longer existed.
"Harley, we need to find the others," Hadley urged, his voice strained with urgency.
"I know," Harley replied, her eyes scanning the eerie surroundings. "But we can’t let fear control us. We need to stay focused."
Elaine and Chloe, trapped in a labyrinthine palace, struggled to find an exit. The corridors seemed to shift and change, leading them in circles. Elaine clenched her fists, frustration etched on her face.
"This place is like a nightmare," Chloe muttered, her voice trembling. "We have to find Red and the others. We can’t let Whitney win."
In the throne room, Whitney sat with her mother who proudly wore the crown. Whitney reveled in her newfound power. The Chrono Crystal glowed in her hands, a tangible source of her triumph. She had rewritten history, placing herself at the center of it all. But as the crystal pulsed with energy and she was just getting started
Back in the cell, Red focused on the tiny window, the only link to the outside world. She knew that Whitney's actions had drastically altered their reality. Her friends were scattered, each facing their own challenges in this warped timeline.
"Mom, we have to get out of here," Red said, determination burning in her eyes. "I need to find my friends and stop Whitney."
Her mother scoffed, but there was a flicker of something in her gaze—hope, perhaps, or the remnants of a bond that transcended even the darkest timelines. "Fine, Red. But if we’re going to do this, we need a plan."
As Red and her mother began to formulate their escape, Gavin was slowly losing his mind and going nuts from be locked in this inescapable tower praying to whoever was listening to come and save him
Hadley and Harley, navigating the twisted hallways, the timeline shifted again making them end up in a large room along with Chloe and eliane
"Elaine!" Hadley said as he and Elaine hugged and made sure the other was alright
Alright guys enough with all the lovey dovey stuff. We need to focus and figure out why Whitney
brought us together Harley said as voice spoke making them jump
Whitney didn't bring you here. I did. The voice said reviling himself
The time guardian was tall, white skinned with blue eyes and had a mustache and was part human and part clock.
"You're the time guardian...your The supreme controller of the time in the world..." Chloe said
"Yes I am and I have been watching all of you. You have messed with time and altered reality" the time guardian said
"But this wasn't our fault!" Harley said
"No. This isn't completely your fault but when you went back in time to change what happened to Hades, maleficent and Bridget it messed with time and which made those anomalies and made it easy for Whitney to change reality" he said firmly
But we did it to save our parents and auradon Hadley said
Yeah but now we have a bigger problem. Eliane said as the guardian nodded
"There's no time to feel sorry for what you have done you need to find your friends Gavin and red and stop Whitney from doing more damage to the time before she rips the fabric of time apart and we all be lot" the time guardian said
"He's right. It's up to us to save the world and we can do it." Chloe said
And a word of advice young ones that you do well to remember now and if you succeed in the future, you can't change the past but you can learn from it. The guardian said as he shifted time again to place them where they needed to be
In the cell, Red and her mother managed to break free, using their combined wit and determination. As they emerged into the twisted world outside, Red’s heart swelled with hope. She knew her friends were out there, fighting the same battle.
"Hang on, guys," Red whispered to the wind. "I’m coming for you."
