Northsiders and SouthSiders scampered to their feet before taking off in all different directions. "This is why you don't anger a serpent" a Northsider shook her head "they were in our territory" another spoke. "No they weren't Cheryl" a boy from the North Side spoke. "They were" she shouted at him. "We were in their territory" he told Cheryl.

"Enough fighting, I hear sirens" a blonde girl spoke pointing into the distance. "Archie, Cheryl, Betty, let's go" the boy replied as the four ran through the forbidden like streets. Sirens blared louder and louder as they got closer.

*the next day*

"Hey guys" a voice replied sweetly as she sat next to her jet black haired friend. "Hi Josie" the boy smiled. "How are you Kevin?" Her eyes gleamed happily "I'm good" he tried containing his smile. "What's got you all happy Kev?" Cheryl asked sitting down across from Kevin. "I met a boy" Kevin smiled "oooh do tell" Cheryl smiled as she leaned in with interest.

"Well..." Kevin trailed his smile growing on his face "he was at the drive in last night. The movie was pretty boring and when I was leaving he caught me by the wrist. Our eyes met," Kevin sighed dreamily "he had these bright blue eyes and he had this slicked back black hair. We didn't say anything we just stood looking at each other then we kissed." Kevin shook excitedly.

"What was his name?" Josie asked her eyes lighting up. "He didn't tell me, he gave me his number though" Kevin replied "and I think a last name?" Kevin remembered, "it was DeSantos" he replied.

Cheryl pondered for a minute before she grabbed Kevin's phone "do you have a picture of him?" She asked. Kevin nodded "yeah go to my pictures, the picture was taken recently so it should be newer" Kevin explained.

"Got him, DeSantos" she smiled "this is Joaquin DeSantos part of the Southside Serpents. He was placed in prison once for trying to help out a friend, but he escaped" Cheryl told him.

Kevin nodded "I can't tell my dad then" he replied "him being sheriff and all" Josie smiled "well I think it's cute"

"Do you guys like someone?" Kevin asked them. Josie and Cheryl's faces brightened. "Um" Cheryl replied "okay how about on the count of three we all say who we like" Kevin suggested.

Josie and Cheryl gasped, before nodding. "1" Kevin replied. Cheryl looked down embarrased "2" Josie whispered "3" Cheryl whispered barely audible. "I like Toni" "Sweet Pea" both Cheryl and Josie said in unison.

"Antionette Topaz and Sweet Pea?" Kevin raised an eyebrow at them. "Yeah" they both nodded their heads. "Do they know?" Kevin asked. Both girls shook their heads "no"

Kevin smiled "we all like Serpents"

"What do you say we all go pay them a visit" Kevin offered "I was going to meet up with Joaquin later to go to the Whyte Wyrm you guys can come with Toni works there and Sweet Pea is always with her, and his best friend Fangs" Kevin told them.

Unsure Both Cheryl and Josie didn't respond "come on!" He cheered "we can go to my house then, Joaquin is picking me up in like two hours and you guys can come with us. He won't mind"

"Okay" Cheryl smiled "I'll do it" Josie nodded "count me in as well" she smiled.
