Chapter 19
Ricky smiled sweetly at Betty before following her out of the secluded house. He had forgotten he had the knife he stole still sheathed in his pocket.
"I'm glad that you are being civil about-" Betty gasped as Ricky pressed the knife against her. "Ricky" her voice shaky "put the knife down" she tried taking it from him but he held it away from her slicing her side. Hissing in pain Betty applied pressure to her side. "Ricky, put the knife down" she pleaded her eyes squeezed shut in pain.
"You were trying to make me change my mind about going back" Ricky replied hurt. "How could you. Crushing my dreams by putting me in a foster care?" Ricky pouted "it's not fair" he replied.
"Ricky put it down!" Joaquin shouted as he spitted his brother. "Joaquin? What are you doing here?" Betty asked "getting Ricky out of trouble but I was too late" he pointed to the cut in Betty's side from the knife Ricky was still holding.
"Why would I Joaquin?" Ricky asked "you left me on my own for years. Why should I take your advice?" Ricky asked crossing his arms holding the knife still as it laid lightly against Ricky's gargoyle suit .
"Yeah why would he go back to someone who will just leave him again?" Kurtz asked walking out of the abondon house. He made his way over to Ricky placing his arms on Ricky's shoulders. "Ricky. Would you rather be with someone who leaves you or come with me where I can give you whatever you want" Kurtz smiled widely in a sickening way.
"Anything?" Ricky smiled "anything" Kurtz replied back. Ricky smiled "I accept" Kurtz smiled before turning the boy around. "Here's the thing Charles Smith, I don't need anything especially not from you" and with that Ricky stabbed Kurtz watching as the teen fell backwards clutching at his chest. "H-how could you?" Kurtz breathed. "I've been betrayed before I didn't need to be again." Ricky grabbed Betty's hand in a brotherly way before the two walked away Joaquin beside them.
