Chapter 10: Planning A Guild
-Zeref P. O. V.- (A/N: I really want to write more of this story in Zeref's perspective, because I used a lot of Mavis's. I'll try to keep it balanced between their perspectives and third person as well to keep things interesting.)
The idea of it thrilled me. A guild with my true love. We'd go on jobs and help people and we'll have lots of friends and the master will be so kind and... wait... master? "Mavis." I asked her as we walked through the forest, holding hands, no less. "Who's going to be the master of our guild? I don't think I would make a very good master. Plus, having a man famous for his destructive magic wouldn't bode well as a figure to look up to."
She giggles as she looked at me and listened to my question. "Why, me, of course. I do have to incredible Fairy magic that only I can use. We just have to find a town where they won't recognize either of us and make a happy, friendly, helpful guild of amazing people! I just can't think of a good name." She put a finger to her chin, making her look even cuter than she already was.
"We should keep thinking of names, but only decide on one after we have more than just us on board with the whole thing. After all, we're only two people. Who's going to help us run a guild?"
"I believe I can help." said a familiar voice behind the bushes. Mavis was a bit startled and his behind me as I created a ball of shadows in my hand, prepped in case he was going to attack.
"Who are you?!" I called out to the voice. "What do you want with us?!"
The figure walked out in front of us as the voice spoke once again. "I want to help the power of black and white. And more important, the power of true love." said the vendor from before.
Mavis came out from behind me as I let the shadows vanish. "Hello again, good sir. What are you doing here?"
The man's voice was a bit less carefree and jolly, more serious and wise, but still calm and compassionate. "I've come to deliver a warning, first. A scouting party of three soldiers came through the town asking about a dangerous black wizard and a young girl in a white-pink dress. From what I gather, you two are meant for each other. I can't stand by and let you two lose each other. I told them I hadn't see you, so they left, unsatisfied. Though, I wouldn't put it past them to find a way to track you. If you want to start a guild, you'll need me to represent you to the Magic Council to open an official guild. Also, I shall do my best to keep you two in hiding. I'm sure that a fine selection of wizards will understand you both and join."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The man who helped me understand my feelings only a few hours ago had returned to help me and my true love start a beautiful life together! I could see Mavis start to tear up a bit. I was too. "Thank you." I said. "Thank you, so much."
Mavis smiled, looking like she wanted to run over and hug the man. "Thank you so much, Mister... Umm... Excuse me, sir, but we haven't learned your name."
He smiled at us. "I can see that you have the common sense and courtesy to know the name of the man who is helping you and your true love. My name is Mr. Gaebolg." (A/N: For those hardcore, die-hard Fairy Tail fans like me, DON'T spoil who he is in the comments! And for those who don't know, just wait a few chapters. Maybe 2-3.)
I extended my hand out to him. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Gaebolg. You probably know already, but this is Mavis Vermillion and I am the Black Wizard Zeref." He shook it, firmly.
"Pleasure to meet you both. Now follow me. There's a town, much larger than the one where we first met that I think is ideal for our guild. It's only a day's walk. If we leave now, we should arrive by sundown so we can begin setting up our permanent residences there. Let's go." He let go of my hand and started walking.
I walked behind him and Mavis walked by my side, holding my hand again. "What exactly is the name of this town? If this town is most likely going to be our permanent residence, we should at least know it's name. It is common sense and courtesy." I said, mirroring his words form before.
He turned back to face us, without stopping. A cheery smile on his face.
"Magnolia."
