Sharanya's Point Of View

He is running his fingers down to my arms; lips are brushing over my soft skin from cheek to collarbones. My breath is getting shaky; goosebumps form over my body. My eyes are close; his touch is all I can feel. Slowly his lips travel from my neck to upper arms; his palms are caressing my bare belly tenderly.

Oh my God! How much I want to feel him more...

I cage him within my wrists; his hair is sleekly, soft and thick, silky in my tight grip.

"Please, touch me more... more." I murmur with panting breath.

"You want me to?" His husky voice that all I can respond to.

"Yes... deeper.. deeper.." I whisper feeling his lips on my cleavage.

The hollowness among the breasts is filling with his wet kisses. Hair grains of his beard are sending chills into my nerves; blood vains are getting warmer. I am rubbing my legs together.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

"Please...more.."

BEEP.  BEEP.  BEEP.

He begins to fade away.

"No.. please come back.."

BEEP.  BEEP. BEEP.

Please come back...

BEEP.  BEEP.  BEEP.

"Haah." With a jerk I opened my eyes.

I felt wetness between my legs. Another morning started with wet dream.

Great!

Peeking at my wall clock I got up from the bed. I needed to clean up my state. Hurriedly, I picked essential items for my bath. After connecting the charger to my phone I went inside the bathroom for freshening up. It would be a long day.

"Madhavi, I told you about it before. You should have listen to me." Mom said while picking up her food from his plate.

"Suman, let it be. They are supposed to face the challenge, otherwise how they can learn." Madhavi aunty replied to her while serving side dish to Rajan uncle.

"Sharanya, eat more. You need to recover quickly." Uncle said with a smile looking at my direction.

"Yes uncle. I have to. I am planning to get fatty." I replied him with a smile.

Dad and Mom laughed; Madhavi aunty joined them too. We were at Bedi Mansion for lunch invitation. Dad and Rajan uncle were childhood friends; coincidentally Mom and Madhavi aunty were from same neighbourhood. Dad was a bank manager now retired family man. Mom was lecturer; her subject was Hindi. She had 1 year left for her retirement. Whereas, Rajan uncle and Madhavi aunty were business partners. They owned a music instrument industry. Their marriage was a political one technically. However, gradually they fell in love with each other. Vyom was their only son. My parents had love marriage; they were college sweethearts. Rajan uncle used to know Mom since then. Eventually, our families became closer as if they were a family to begin with.

"So, you guys are meeting at the 'City Mall' restaurant. Are you visiting via public transport or Shivani will pick you up?" Rajan uncle asked; Dad looked at me as well.

"She is going to pick me up. Vyom is also coming today." I replied completing my lunch.

"Yeah. Today is his off day. Why don't you guys stay here? We will not disturb you. Your health will not be hampered as well." Rajan uncle said taking the last piece of his curry.

"Aha! Rajan, let them enjoy their youth. Why are you disturbing them?" Madhavi aunty interrupted him making others laugh.

"Yeah, yeah! Young days, right right! You should enjoy it before getting old. Ram, remember our days?" Rajan uncle looked at Dad with a smile.

"Yeah! Those moments. Remember that day of our college.." Dad began to tell another story from their old days.

Quietly I was listening to their talk with a grin on my face. Looking at my phone's screen, I checked the time, 2pm.

2 hours to go before meeting them.

"This restaurant's parking area is my favourite. No taxs or extra charges." Shivani said with esthetisy while locking the car door.

I laughed out seeing her expression, always chilled and cool, the exact opposite of Vyom, always serious and focused. However, they still managed to stick together.

Walking towards the restaurant's corridor, I noticed the sky over us; another clear, pleasant and radiant sky of July's evening. Setting Sun was spreading it's last rays; yellow, orange and blue light painted the sky like an artist's canvas. Shimla wasn't my birth place. It was Mumbai. But it was the origin of our family. After mom's transfer from Mumbai to here when I was 12 years old, I began my life with the people whom I had now; Aditya was 6 years old then. Dad used to travel all over the India due to his transferable job. However, at the end of his job, near his retirement, he managed to move it here with us. He said that he saved it for the end.

Coming near our reserved table, I spotted Vyom holding a menu card with his both wrists. Grabbing my left hand Shivani came to Vyom and patted his left shoulder softly. With a jolt he looked at our direction; a smile formed on his face after seeing both of us.

"Hey. I ordered cold drinks for all of us. Sprite will be okay for you, Sharanya?" He enquired, while I was adjusting my chair for settling down.

"Cool!" I replied after keeping my phone on the table.

Shivani sat next to me. We were facing Vyom face to face.

"Hey! Why don't you ask me?" Shivani asked her husband faking anger.

"I know my wife well. That's why." He replied lifting his eyebrows altogether.

"Hmm. How boring!" She pouted her lips making me chuckled.

"Yes..yes.. All husbands become boring after marriage." Vyom stated looking at his wife putting the menu card aside.

"Very funny!" Making a face she looked at me; I was still chuckling at their antics.

"So Sharanya, how was your proof writing?" Vyom asked focusing his eyes on me.

"It's good. The deadline is this weekend. Thanks to Shivani I am catching up well." I replied looking at Shivani's proud face.

"I know that I am the best. Don't need to remind me all the time." She pushed her hand in air.

This time Vyom laughed out as well; we joined him together.

I worked in editing department at one of the best book publishing houses in Uttarakhand. I was a novelist as well. Shivani was also working with me at same publishing house, however, in different department. She got a promotion this year and would be appointed as next CEO from next month. Vyom, being a responsible son, was handling his family business. Though he was from science stream, he was doing well in this industry. Shivani was an English literature student, a top grader along with me. We pursued same subjects after our school graduation. She got the job after college graduation, whereas I did post graduation and started working for a company. Though I had no memories of it; I came to know about it from my old resume. After my recovery from the coma state, she let me applied for a job at her company. With my high grades, I got the job quickly.

Thanks to them I am living a decent life.

"So, how was the lunch today? Mom called me to come. But, I had to finish the deadline today. Pre-promotional activities." She made a face looking at him.

"Yep. As usual I was busy. You know." Vyom replied with his serious face.

"Busy my foot! You were sleeping till afternoon like 'Kumbhkaran'. Don't you lie!" Shivani smashed his left shoulder with her right palm.

"Hey!" He reacted rubbing his shoulder.

I laughed out loud witnessing their tantrums. They would never change. They began to bicker over it while I was watching them silently grinning from eye to eye. Seeing them married and laughing together made me enchanted and melancholic at the same time.

I felt the familiar emptiness coming back in my chest. But I didn't show it on my face. It almost felt as if I were missing someone, someone dear to me and essential for my life.

Someone who was a crucial part of my life that I lost with my memories...
