🖤Chapter 1: The Matchmakers🖤

A/N

I know this isn't exactly how the matchmakers are like but I kind of added my own twist. I hope you like it!

She collapsed on the old, oak wood chair near where the matching desk laid. Eraser sheddings shattered everywhere.  She finally got herself together and dipped her quill in the ink. Wondering what the first word would be, she rocked her chair back and forth. Creeeeeeek.

It was a stormy night where they sat.

She immediately crumbled it up and threw it in the small, blue trash can. It rattled after she just barely missed it. She sighed as she took a new parchment paper. If she was being truthful, she would have to start from the beginning where it all started at the matchmakers.

It was crisp in the mid October day and the air was cooling off sweat from Biana's back. Earlier that day, she'd quickly got into a teal dress and golden high heels, but she didn't have enough time to take a shower. "Three o'clock exactly."  Said the matchmaker. And there she stood with her legs shaking heavily.

It wasn't the tallest building Biana had ever seen, but it was very shimmery (which Biana liked) and there was dark water surrounding it on one side. But what caught her attention the most was the giant arch above the door. What Biana found very intimidating was the center of the arch where the logo laid a giant golden M, for matchmaking.

She pushed the doors slightly open. Once she was in, she saw a ton of wooden chairs with a few people sitting on them. She assumed it was the waiting room. Behind the waiting room was a café and what seemed to be a ballroom with a lot of elves dancing.

One elf had a pink puffy dress and jet black hair. The next one she spotted had light brown skin and had her hair in curls. There hair was beyond beautiful. It was strange, staring at the elves in fabulous dresses. Biana started to regret not taking a shower (not that she needed to) as she stared at them.

"Biana Amberly Vacker." Called a tall lady with a bun, interrupting her thoughts.

Biana was surprised at first because no one ever used her full name. But she stood up and walked over. The tall lady smiled at her. She was holding a clipboard with a fill out sheet and a flower pen in the other hand.

"My name is Brisa and I'm one of the matchmakers!"

Biana nodded.

"I'm so excited that you volunteered for our social experiment!" Brisa said, a little too excited.

"It was the least I could do." Answered Biana.

Brisa just smiled as they entered an odd room with a glass window peeking out to another room.

"This is where we will stand and take notes!" She said pointing to the glass room. "And this big room is where you and the boy will be!"

"What do you mean by taking notes?" Taking notes of us?" Asked Biana as she tried to act calm.

"Well of course, it is an experiment after all! "What would it do if we didn't take notes?!" Brisa laughed.

Biana just shrugged as she tried not to imagine the matchmakers watching and taking notes on her like psychopaths.

Suddenly two females walked in. "The experiment is about to start!" Called one of them.

"Do you have the boy?" Asked Brisa.

"Yes and I see you have the girl."

"Biana." Said Biana.

"Huh?" Asked the other female standing next to Brisa.

"My name is Biana, not the girl, so please stop calling me that."

"Ok, Biana and my name is Ceri."

"And my name is Juji." Said the other female.

Juji came to Biana's side and put the blindfold carefully on her head.

"Can you see anything?" Asked Juji.

"No." Said Biana.

It was pitch black. And super tight.

"Okay, then the blind date is officially starting." Said Ceri.

And the last thing Biana heard was the door slamming. And then she could sense someone else was in the room with her.
