It's been a week since he vanished and we can't find anything. Typhon can't sense him either. It's as if he's been placed outside of reality. Gabe and Minx have been inconsolable, only letting Loki in the room occasionally to bring food. All of the kids have been stressed but Dreyken was furious. He's traveled to the Void demanding answers and only finding silence. Gaia has been spending time with both him and Pandra. Of course, she is Pandra's patron as well as their great-grandmother.

We were gathered with most of the gods and goddesses in our front room. "We have to assume they are coming for all of you," Nyx said. "This is magic I've never even encountered."

"What I don't understand is why? Why take Victor if what he wants is Firecracker?" Brandon asked.

"What he wants is to destroy us," Owen said. "That's what he always wanted - to destroy anything and everything to do with the Academy. He thinks he is saving her from us, just like he did with Sang and Kaylie. To him, that justifies the pain he causes."

"He can't kill us, so he's breaking the bonds. Victor is immortal, just as we all are now, so we have to keep faith that we will find him eventually," Kota said.

"There are worse things than death," Eveleen's voice came from the doorway.

Sang

"The spell worked perfectly," I said, watching Victor's dragon form ceaselessly try to break the cell wall.

"Now all we have to do is locate the shadow and trade them out," Kaylie replied. "Do you think he's going to go through with the plan? He seems to have become quite attached to the woman."

Kaylie was right. Deimos had become distracted lately. He almost looked remorseful when he gave us the spell for Victor. "I think he'll stick to the plan, if for no other reason than to get her. As for the rest of the plan, I'm not sure, and honestly, I don't give a damn. I just want him to give us the boys like he promised. I think it's time for them to see who we are now."

"You'll have your men, girls," Deimos said from the doorway. "As for the fairy, she's mine. The sooner we break the bonds, the sooner she'll comply."

I snorted, "So are we still using the shadow?"

He nodded, "It's the perfect way to trap the men and keep the attention off of us. While they may realize we are involved, they will be far too worried about keeping her safe from Erebus. By the time they put all the pieces together, you will have your men and she will be here with me." He stepped closer to the cell where Victor was breathing heavily as he listened to us. "Don't worry, Victor. She'll be safe with me, I give you my word."

Victor let out a roar that shook the walls as Deimos chuckled and walked away. "Find the chamber, girls. Use whatever means necessary. We need to prepare the next cell. I'm sure Victor is ready for some company."

Kaylie and I grinned.
