Chapter 40

Gabriel

"I see one of the flowers bloomed," I said, running my fingers over the mark. She looked up and nodded, her brows furrowed. "Talk to me, little wolf. What's going on in that pretty head of yours."

Her shoulders slumped as she sighed, "I'm confused, m'anam. I know what he's done and even now he still has his own motives, but I am drawn to him. What I really don't know is if it is the bond or real. I asked him once if he would have taken all of my free will and he readily admitted he would. What if this connection is just a by-product of years of compulsion and spells? How am I supposed to know?"

I knew the others could hear her words and fears. The connection was far stronger now than it had been. I think her transition to a goddess and Victor's transition to a god played a large part in that. Hey wait, that's it!

"I think you're asking the wrong questions, little wolf. This whole process was about you and Victor fulfilling a new destiny, but neither of you has really even dealt with that. Maybe you both need to have a conversation with the Void about your powers and this connection to Deimos," I suggested.

Her eyes lit up and she threw her arms around my neck, "You, m'anam, are a genius! I love you so much," she giggled, then kissed me. The kiss quickly turned deeper as I felt her desire flare along with mine. My hands gripped her ass and she moaned as my tongue pressed into her mouth. I needed her.

She made a squeaking sound as I vanished our clothing and pushed her back against the bed, my hand pressing her hips against the mattress as my mouth sucked on her clit. Her hands tugged at my hair as she tried to buck. I chuckled as I drove my tongue into her folds enjoying her little sounds. You are still my miracle, Eveleen. I thank the gods for you every day, I told her through the connection. Even forever isn't long enough with you, little wolf.

"Please, m'anam, make love to me," she begged as her body began to shake. I lifted to cage her beneath me, searching her eyes for any hesitation before slowly pressing inside of her. Our eyes stayed locked on one another as I pushed deep, then stilled. She felt amazing. My mind flashed to the first time we made love in that little cabin next to the mansion. I was the first man she'd given herself to and even now, I never took that for granted. "My Gabriel," she breathed as I slowly began to move inside of her.

"It's what I've always wanted to be, Eveleen - your Gabriel," my voice cracked slightly as I kissed her, both of us crying as we clung to one another, making love again and again until we fell asleep in each other's arms.

Eveleen

I woke up and just watched him sleep. I loved all of my husbands, but Gabriel...he was my center, my very soul.

"I thought he was going to lose his mind when we lost you," Loki said quietly from the doorway. "We all were hurting, but you and I both know your connection to Gabriel is far more."

I smiled at him as I gently got out of bed and looked around for clothing. Loki smirked and snapped his fingers, dressing me in a simple green dress. His color of course. We stepped outside of the room and I gently closed the door to let Gabriel sleep. "You always did see everything," I teased him. "I don't think I'd ever want to play poker with you, elskede."

"Ástvinur, you wound me," he grinned. "Now, forgive the eavesdropping, but it is second nature, so what do you plan on doing about Deimos?"

I laughed, knowing full well that they all had eavesdropped. "I think Gabriel is right. It's about damn time I learn what I'm capable of. The day I countered Nyx's spell was instinct. I need practice because one way or another I'm killing a damn Titan. To hell with imprisoning him," I growled.

Loki purred, "My lovely goddess, that was sexy as fuck." His strong arms wrapped around me and he brushed his nose against mine. "You've always been stronger than you realize, love. Now, I have a suggestion for dealing with your wolf."

"You mean Cade?"

"No, ástvinur, your wolf. You need to speak with Selene and see if it is present. If so, then she needs to teach you to shift so that you can snap those boys out of their brain fog."

"No time like the present," I grinned and we set off to find the others.

"So you think Sang's spell may have given her a wolf?" Selene asked, her hands folded together as she thought. "Interesting. May I?" she asked, stepping in front of me and placing her open palm in front of my forehead. I nodded. Her touch was light and soon I felt a warm sensation flow over me. She made a choking sound and stepped back. "I...I've never..."

"What?" I demanded.

"You don't have a wolf, Eveleen...you are one," she sputtered.

"Wait, what the hell does that mean," North boomed.

"It means that just like Victor gave her a dragon, Sang inadvertently gave her a wolf. Just like with her dragon form, it's just that - a form, not a wolf spirit like werewolves have. It's a part of her and she should be able to transform at will," Selene explained.

"You said, 'should be able to,' does that mean there's a risk?" Owen asked, stepping closer to me. "And what about the babies? Will her shifting harm them?"

"It shouldn't," the goddess answered. "If it were a werewolf shift, she's early enough in the pregnancy it wouldn't harm them. I have to assume this is the same, not to mention Eveleen herself has stated that both children are not average, but gods in their own rights. It's entirely possible they have different incarnations as well."

Owen's eyes went wide as he turned to me. Oh shoot, in all the chaos, I kinda forgot to tell him. "Surprise," I squeaked. He just gaped, looking from my eyes to my stomach.

"How?"

I shrugged, "I have no idea. I just know what the Void showed me about the boys and they are both dark gods, Owen. Maybe the real question we should be asking is what are you now? I think you are far more than just a corrupted Fae. For goodness sake, look at the power you already possess and it seems to become stronger every day, mo chroí."

"I think she's right, Owen," Victor said. "I'd already gone through my transition when I got her pregnant, but she was already carrying your son. That means you are more than Sang thought. I think you need to speak with the Morrigan and maybe even the Void."

"Agreed, but for now, let's focus on the matter at hand," he said, turning back to me. "Do you want to try and shift?"

"Yes," I said quietly. I slid the dress off my shoulders and tried to focus on the image of the wolf from my dream, well memory actually. I let out a cry as I felt my body crumble. It was more painful than dragon shifting and soon I was panting on the floor.

I heard Gabriel swear as he walked into the room, "Holy fuck! Little wolf is a wolf!" I gave him an eye roll, well, sort of and a huff. He just chuckled, "Even as a wolf, you're a brat, baby. You're beautiful." His hands ran through my silvery white fur and I nuzzled his hand.

Oddly enough, it was just like the first few times I took on a dragon form - I couldn't talk, not even in the connection. It was like I'd lost my voice again. I nosed him again, then pushed toward the door, pawing at it. When someone opened it, I trotted down the hall to where I knew the boys were.

North held his hand on the doorknob, "Um, Queen, you realize they're still dogs, right? I mean, um, they might," his cheeks flushed. I gave a playful yip and nuzzled his leg. I can't believe my big strong vampire was worried they might try to fuck me. Then again, would it matter? I mean... Nope, get your damn hormones under control, Eveleen. Gods, I'd forgotten how freaking horny I get during pregnancy and I was just getting started. Ugh, this could be dangerous...

I pawed at the door and he opened it as I darted in. I gave him a glance and he nodded in understanding and closed the door behind me. I turned to the three of them and made a whining noise and lowered my head. Cade was the first to step forward, his entire body alert as he sniffed me. The low growl in his throat let me know that on some level he remembered our encounter in Sang's chambers. Luke and Nate stayed at a distance. Ironically, it seemed the three had already formed a pack dynamic and it was quite similar to their marriage dynamic.

His snout nosed against my neck as I lowered in submission. Before I could react, his canines sank into my neck and I whined. Mine I heard his voice in my mind. I've missed you, my Luna, he purred.

If wolves could cry, I'd have been sobbing. Somehow his bite helped me find my voice, and I spoke, I've missed you too, Cade. Is...is Kota still there?

He released my neck and licked at the wound. He's very faint like he's asleep. Finn and Ian are the same way, but Luke and Nate are much more present, just different. I don't understand it. He circled me, inspecting me. How did you get a wolf?

I didn't, I just got a wolf form thanks to Sang's spell. How do I help you and the others?

He rubbed against me and growled again, I don't know, but I do know I want to claim you, Luna. He nudged me forward, the front of my body lowering instinctually. I guess North was right, I giggled to myself. Will you submit to me, my Luna? He purred in my mind and I practically melted.

I whined, yes, Cade, I will submit to you. His form caged me beneath him as he mounted me, his teeth once again sinking into me as he asserted his control over me. I let myself go and felt the bliss of the connection flare to life in ways it never had before. I'd never felt such a pull to Kota's wolf before. It was powerful and raw.

When we had finished, I lay panting as he licked my wound and nuzzled me. They're curious, he said, nodding his head toward Luke and Nate. You may not get much rest, Luna, he chuckled and I growled playfully. I'll stay close in case you need help.

Thank you, I breathed and forced myself into a sitting position as the two came closer. Their eyes roamed over my form as they sniffed and nosed at me. I trembled when Luke's tongue ran along the claim mark Cade had just placed. His entire body perked up at my reaction and the taste of my blood. His teeth showed, and for the first time, I had a flash of fear. I had no idea what effect his bite might have. I didn't have time to contemplate it as his fangs sank into me and I whimpered.

I felt a burning sensation spreading through my body and heard Cade growl, followed by Nate growling, but Luke held on tight. My vision blurred as I fell forward and he pinned me beneath him, quickly mounting me. Then everything went dark.

"Pixie? You have to wake up, please," I heard Luke's voice as my eyes fluttered open. It was completely dark and I could only barely make out Luke's form. "I need you to fight me, baby. Fight off the venom in my bite, please. I don't want to hurt you," he begged, tears running down his face. "I'm so sorry, Pixie."

"I...I don't understand," I gasped, pain shooting through my body.

"It's the venom," he choked, "Please, baby, just fight it."

"She can't," Deimos voice cut through the darkness. "I warned you, pet."

"You son of a bitch, this is all your fucking fault!" Luke roared, but Deimos just ignored him, placing his hand under my cheek.

"Listen to me, pet. I offer my help once again. Let my blood protect you," he said softly, holding out his arm to me.

I choked, "I'm beginning to see a theme with you, Deimos."

"Will it really help her - this isn't just a trick?" Luke asked, coming closer.

"I give you both my word that it will help. I'm also fairly certain if she bites you back, it will help you as well." He ran his claw over his arm, "Drink, pet. You're running out of time." Luke held me as Deimos pressed his arm to my lips and I began to drink. I felt the familiar surge of lust envelop my body as he chuckled, "Not quite the time for that, Eveleen. Then again, I believe that's exactly what Lucian's hellhound form is doing to you at this very moment." Luke gave him a hateful look while I just rolled my eyes and pulled back, feeling much better.

"Thank you," I said quietly.

He looked at my mark and grinned, "That is all the thanks I need, love. Now, get your ass back and put those pups in their place." I looked down and saw two more flowers fully bloomed and a new vine trailing under my breast. I groaned inwardly. They are not going to be happy with me.

Taking a deep breath, I willed myself to wake up. I let out a growl and flipped Luke over then sank my teeth into his neck as he let out a howl that quickly faded to a whimper. When I pulled back, he lay there, his eyes dazed. Nate launched himself at me, but I quickly countered and clamped onto his neck, shaking my head as I sank deep until he too submitted.

I released him and stumbled back as Cade rushed to me, trying to support me. Luna! Luna, look at me, he ordered in his Alpha voice.

I lifted my head to see his beautiful amber eyes then promptly collapsed.
