Chapter 30

Victor

My blood boiled as I watched Deimos fuck her. "She has no control in the matter," a voice said next to me.

I turned, "Sean?"

He gave me a remorseful look, "Not exactly. Sean is my vessel. I'm Morpheus, and you Victor Morgan are a god now, just as we are."

I snorted, "Yes, I suppose I am."

"The titan corrupted Deimos even more than he was. She carries shadows now, but I gather that won't matter soon, eh?" Morpheus smirked. "This will be a dangerous battle you plan. I fear it may cost her much."

"She won't be alone," I said, watching as the demon finally fell asleep. Despite the spell, she was whimpering in her sleep. I could feel her regret and pain fill the air. I sensed the heartbeat of a child and cringed internally.

Morpheus grinned. "It is neither the titan's nor Deimos's child. She already suspects, but doesn't know for sure. Come, I'll help as you free her."

Together we stepped out of the portal. Morpheus held up his hands, forming a barrier around the bed. I saw their bodies slack into a deep slumber as he nodded to me. Gently I picked her up in my arms and magically cleaned her up, placing her in a soft white dress. "Are you coming with us?" I asked him.

He shook his head, "Not yet. I need to stay here to keep watch on the others." He stepped closer and I felt a sudden wave of sadness envelop me. He placed a soft kiss on her brow, "Your light will return to you someday, little star. I will not keep him from you, I give you my word."

When he stepped back, the sadness dissipated. "Take care of her, Dragon. She will need patience and time - sadly that is one thing she may not be given if Sean's visions are correct." Once I stepped into the portal, he vanished and I watched as Deimos bolted upright.

"Pet?" He clutched his chest, rubbing it vigorously, "Pet, where did you go - I can't feel you. Please, I'll do better, please don't leave me, Eveleen," he cried out.

"Deimos," she whimpered in her sleep as he continued to cry out for her.

It was time for us to go.

Eveleen

My dreams were filled with tears. One by one I watched as they all left me, even Deimos, until only Erebus remained. Along with Kaylie and Sang, he tortured me repeatedly, his shadows tearing at my flesh as I cried out for help that never came.

Other times I would be overwhelmed with great sorrow and loss, as I felt Deimos. His spell imprinted on my very soul and I felt what he felt - his grief at my absence, his rage toward Erebus and the girls who had now imprisoned him as they searched for me. I cried and screamed, trapped in my own mind.

Shh pet, it will be okay, he would tell me in my mind. I don't blame you for leaving, I only hope you're safe wherever you are.

You're safe, Jewel, Victor's voice filled my mind. Wake up now, love. Come back to me.

It felt like I was pushing off a heavy blanket as I blinked my eyes and sat up from the lush bedding. A shadowy figure in the corner of the room caught my attention and my body tensed. As he came forward, I recognized the shape of a dragon. It looked like Victor's dragon form in Faire when he forced Gabriel to transform. "Mo dhragún?" I asked hesitantly. He didn't answer but continued to move closer until he was right in front of me. His body trembled and wisps of shadow swirled around him, then before my eyes, he transformed into his human form.

"Jewel," he said, his deep voice felt like a vibration in my soul. I felt the tears fill my eyes as he reached out to me. "It's me, love."

"But, but the shadows," I stammered, "What is going on? Did Erebus do this to you again?"

He shook his head, "No Jewel, this is who I am now. Lots of things have happened, love." He reached out and pulled me to him. Before I could speak, the room began to spin and shift, making me close my eyes.

"Open your eyes, Jewel," Victor commanded, his voice soft. I opened them and looked around to find myself in what looked like my old room at the mansion in Charleston.

"Wh...where, how?"

"We are simply in a pocket of time, love. A quiet space to talk where you feel safe," he explained. I stared in awe. Victor had never possessed this kind of power. "What do you remember, Eveleen?"

"Everything is all a jumble. I saw what Sang did to Owen, and I've seen some of the others, but I was never sure if I was awake or that fucking dream spell. Kaylie did something to Raven and Corey. They...they're animals of some kind now. Sean isn't Sean, and then Erebus and Deimos..." my words came out as sobs.

He pulled me tight against his chest, "It's okay, Jewel. I promise it will all work out. It's just going to take a bit longer." He pressed kisses to my head. "Gods, I've missed you, love."

"I've missed you too. When you disappeared I felt like I'd died. Then your mark vanished and it broke me, mo dhragún."

"I'm here now, Jewel," he growled, tugging me toward the bed. "Let me worship my wife for a while." He lifted my dress and then slid down my panties as I shivered at his touch. It had been so long. I tugged at the white shirt that covered his chest, then his slacks. When we both stood naked before one another he lifted me and laid me on the mattress before lowering himself to my core.

"Victor," I whined as his tongue began to flick across my already wet folds. He devoured me again and again until tears streamed down my face, then he moved up and captured my lips with his. Mo dhragún, I love you so much, I told him across the connection.

My precious Jewel, he groaned, I love you more than life itself. Then I felt his swollen cock slide inside of me gently. His thrusts were patient and measured as the knot in my stomach grew. My fingers gripped his biceps as I tried to make him go faster. He smirked, "I want to feel every inch of you, baby. I want to remember this moment for the rest of our lives." I didn't understand what he meant, but he just grinned and continued to make love to me until we were both moaning out our release.

He was still deep inside of me and I could feel him getting hard again as I shifted beneath him. "I need you to trust me, Jewel. What's about to happen might seem scary, but I promise you are not alone and this is your destiny, my beautiful wife." Before I could ask what he meant, he thrust hard inside of me, and in an instant, his fangs extended and they sank into my shoulder. I bucked, crying out as I felt the darkness swirl inside my veins. My body felt like it was on fire as I began to respond to every movement he made. His fingers intertwined with mine as his lips left my shoulder. "That's it, Eveleen, accept your new destiny. It is time for you to take your place as a goddess. Trust me," he said, turning my face to meet his eyes. He placed a kiss on my lips as he began to increase his thrusts. When we both reached our climax, I screamed as I felt the bond between us form anew. Victor roared and then gasped as my memories and emotions flooded into him. I was assaulted with his memories of being trapped within the pocket dimension and then the Void - wait, the Void?

He crushed me against him, stroking my hair, "Forgive me. Forgive me for what I've done, and what is about to happen," he begged. I wanted to ask him what he meant but I didn't have the chance before the pain began to envelop my body and I screamed out again.
