The first couple of months went by rather fast. I almost completly forgot about what had happened during the quidditch game a few days before the start of the term. I hadn't told anyone about it. I honestly refused to believe that it actually happened, becuase I didn't want it to. If I let myself think about it I would be terrified all the time, so I pushed it out of my mind and focused on my studies.

Since it was our third year, it was the first year we get to take Divination. I was looking forward to it. The first couple of classes were interesting, and I like the teacher, Professor Onai. But then the class got boring. I was no good at seeing things.

The room was beautiful as well as comfortable. Purples and yellows danced around the roon on various objects. Professor Onai waited for all the students to arrive before starting her lecture.

I sat beside Ominis and Sebastian with Anne on the other side of her brother. We sat in the back row. "Alright, for today's class I want to try something different." Professor Onai says standing in the center of the room looking up at the students. "The tables in front of you have a crystal ball on them." she says waving her arm and the crystal balls appear on the tables. "Now, I will break you off into pairs."

She started calling out our partners. It wasn't much of a surprise when Sebastian got paired with his sister. I was one of the last people to be paired and so was Ominis. The two of us got paired together, so we took a seat at the table in front of us.

"Keep in mind that sometimes what can be seen or felt isn't always what it seems. Sometimes we as people try to avoid our fates when the lesson is to accept them. To learn from them. To grow." she says gracefully as she moved around the classroom. "Today you will work in pairs to transfer a memory to your partner for them to see."

Ominis raised his hand, "Professor, seeing as we have to share and witness each others memories, will I be able to see them?" he asked.

Despite the blonde haired boy not being abot to see her, she smiled at him. "Yes, the images will be projected into each others minds."

"Awesome!" Ominis whispers suddenly excited for us to start.

Professor Onai turns her attention back to the rest of the class, "Alright, all you have to do if place your hands on the crystal ball and the partner not sharing the memories at that moment will place their hand over yours." she explained. "Don't be discoruagred if the memory that shows up isn't the one that you want, sometimes the ball has a mind of its own. You may begin, and if you need any help don't hesitate to ask me."

I turn to Ominis, "Seeing as you are about to see something for the first time, would you like to go first?" I ask him.

He thinks about it for a moment. "No." he says shaking his head. "I want you to go first, see how this is going to work."

I nod my head and slide the crystal ball closer to us, placing it between us on the table. "Okay, let me think of a memory." I say.

What's something that I want to share with him. Something from outside of school. Perhaps something from the muggle world since he doesn't know anything about that. Okay but what should I show him? I sit there thinking for a good memory to show him and then decide against the muggle world when a memory comes to me. "Alright, I got one."

"About time," Ominis laughs.

"Okay," I say nervously as I place my hands on the crystal ball and Ominis places his over mine. I close my eyes and concentrate on the memory that I want to share.

When I open my eyes again I am not in the classroom, but outside of my house. Instead of seeing the memory through the eyes of myself, I watch myself stand in the yard with my older brother and my parents. I turn and see Ominis standing beside me. "This is weird." I tell him.

He looks at me and for the first time, his eyes aren't fogged over. I can see the blue of his eyes as he looks at me with excitement. "No, this is amazing!" he says turning back to the memory.

I remember this day perfectly. I was the day my mother agreed to let me practice flying on Finn's broom. I watch as my ten year old self struggles getting the broom to fly up. "Is that you?" Ominis asks.

I nod my head, "yeah, and the boy is my brother and others are my parents." I tell him, excited that he can see even if it is just for a moment.

I watch as I finally get the broom to come up and I grip it in my hands. My mother and father cheer for me as I mount the broom and lift up off of the ground. I lean forward a little bit and take off. I go a little too fast at first which scares me but then I get the hang of it and quickly land back down.

"First time on a broom and already a natural at it." Ominis comments. "You should really join quidditch." he says and his words cause me to lose my concentration of this memory.

The memory before us fades away to darkness. "What's happening?" Ominis asks. The mention of quidditch causes my mind to think of the game before the start of the year which makes me think of the incident.

The memory unfold before us. I stand there on the bleachers with Sebastian and Anne beside me. "Oh no." I mutter trying my best to focus on another memory, anything but this one.

Ominis didn't seem to hear me, his eyes were focused on our best friends. "Sebastian and Anne." he says.

I nod my head at him, and point behind them, "And their parents." I say and his eyes following landing on the professors. "Got to say, this isn't how I imaginged Sebastian to look."

In the memory I see myself leave them and head down to the ground to walk around. I feel my heartbeat pick up as i know what is to come. Ominis looks over at me, "Why are you so nervous?"

"Something... something is about to happen." I can see the man perfectly from this out of body experience. And so does Ominis.

He glances from him and back to me that didn't seem to notice him yet. "Nothing like that happens does it?"

I wasn't really sure what he was referring to. "I wasn't going to mention this to anyone but I don't know how to back out of this memory." I tell him which doesn't seem to ease his worry.

I see myself walking away from the people and towards the old building, climbing up it. "Why did you go up there?"

"I don't know, I should have went back to our friends, but I didn't think he was following me." I admit. I can't seem to take my eyes off of the scene in front of me.

My memory self stays crouched in the dark corner of the building staring out of the window when there is a sound behind me. I want to scream at myself to run but I know that it is no use. I feel the fear build up inside of me as I watch the man appear and memory me turning around with the same fear on her face as I have now.

Ominis turns to look at me and I can tell that he doesn't like this. "Who is that?" He asks.

I don't answer, I just watch as the man doesn't say anything, just lunges for me. He wraps his hand around memory me's throat and shoves her back against the wall. I watch myself stare up at him with wide eyes as my hand reach up to try to pry his hand away from me. "You have something we want." he speaks softly as he tightens his grip. It feels so weird watching this from this angle.

My memory self gasp for air trying to kick her legs at him but she can't. She can't even respond to him. She feel her eyes fill up with tears as she stares up at him. After a few seconds he releases memory me and she falls to the ground coughing and clutching her throat. "What do you want?" She asks him, her voice raspy. I don't look up at him, afriad to see him, even now in a memory.

"We'll be back, and when we are we will take what we want." he says and then leans down, grabbing her hair and pulling it making her look up at him. She glare at him as he speaks. "We don't care how many people we have to hurt to get what we want."

"Lila," Ominis says sounding worried. "What was that?" He asks, watching memory me stand up and slowly make my way back to the bleachers to join our friends.

"A memory." I whisper. "From the quidditch game before school." I tell him.

I see him close his eyes and start pacing. "I saw a tattoo on him, I know I've heard about it somewhere." he says mostly to himself. I didn't see a tattoo on the man, but I wasn't really looking at his arms or anything. I was mostly focusing on trying to get him away from me.

The scenery fades to black once more and then I see the man again. "Another memory?" Ominis asks.

I see the man walking along a castle ruins towards a group of people that I have never seen before. "No." I say my voice barely above a whisper.

The man stops at the bottom of a set of stairs and stares up them where another man stands. He has brown hair, short, and green eyes. He wears a light brown jacket and dark pants. "Did you locate her?" he asks in a deep voice.

The man from the quidditch game nods his head, "Yes, sir. She is attending Hogwarts, fixing to start her third year." The man tell him.

The one on top of the stairs seems to be the leader and I find myself stepping closer, wanting to know more. Ominis reaches out and grabs my hand. "Don't this could be dangerous." he says.

"This is a memory." I tell him. "I can't be hurt."

"Yes, but this isn't your memory." he says and I stop. How am I seeing this?

The man on the stairs, the leader, takes a step forward and pull out his wand. "And did you warn her about what we want?" he asks with a sinister tone.

The man scared me. "Yes," the other man says, "I got a good hit in too."

That seemed to be the wrong thing to say as the leader's face began to grow furious. "You weren't supposed to touch her! You were supposed to locate her and tell her what we wanted and leave her be!" he yells at the man.

The man cowards down in fear and the others only stand around in watch. I see the leader lift up his wand. "Avada Kadavra!" He says and a blinding green light hits the man. I feel my own heart racing, thinking that the killing curse would hit Ominis or myself.

I watch helplessly as the man falls to the ground lifeless. I grab ahold of Ominis's hand and squeeze it, just to know that his is still beside me. I see the leader turn and look directly in our direction and smile before we are pulled out of the memory.

I open my eye back up and quickly remove my hands from the crystal ball as my heart races inside my chest. "What was that?" I whisper to Ominis.

He seems just as freaked out as I am. "I don't know, but it can't be anything good."

Professor Onai walks by us, "I see that you shared your memory, Lila." she observes and I nod my head slowly. She turns to Ominis, "Your turn, dear."

I see him hestiatnly place his hands on the crystal ball. I don't think he is so eager to do it since what just happened with me but neither am I. I place my hands over his and I am thrown back into memoires, but this time they are his memories.

When I open my eyes and I am in a dark house. There was candle lit, but there was black funiture, occastionaly a green rug was placed on the floor. I see Ominis stiffen beside me. "This wasn't the memory I was going for."

I turn to him and see him scared. I think back to what he had told us on the train. Maybe that one memory that wasn't mine and the use of the unforgivable curse and subconsciously caused his mind ot think of all the times he was forced to use those curses.

I see what I would assume to be his father emerge from a different room when memory Ominis sat on the couch emotionless. "How do you change the memory?" He asks sounding worried and frightened.

"I don't know. I didn't mean to do it before." I tell him as I watch his mother and brother come into the room with a girl not much older than we were.

"Son, come here." I hear his father say, his voice rough.

Memory Ominis hesitantly gets up from the couch and makes his way over to his father. The Ominis that stand beside me draws in a breath, fearing what is to come. "You know the spell." His father says. "Why don't you show these mudbloods some hospitality?" he says.

I can hear the girl start to scream, wanting to go home. Hearing this, memory Ominis shakes his head, "No, I can't do it." he says backing up away from his family.

I take in a breath as well, as I hear his mother let out an annoyed sigh. "Marvolo, would you care to teach your brother a lesson?" she asks the older boy standing beside her.

I see him smile wickedly at his brother, "Of course, mother." he says and I see Ominis turn away from the scene. His body shaking as if he is reliving the pain that is to come. I turn to him as I hear his brother say the curse. I wrap my arm around him, sheilding him from the memory, but I also didn't want to see my best friend suffering from the torture curse. I know this did nothing for him because he had already lived through it, but he still leans into me for comfort.

When I heard his screams die down I turn my head around and see his parents tell him him to do the spell. And he does. I feel Ominis tense as he hears himself speak the curse and the red light leaving his wand. The girls screams were loud as the curse hit her. "Ominis, I'm sorry." I say as we sit on the ground, his head turned away.

I see tears in memory Ominis's eyes and he releases the spell. "Marvolo dear, would you care to show your brother the other spell?" His mother asks in a sweet voice.

Another spell, an unforgivable spell? I don't have time to wonder if it was the imperious curse of the killing curse before the words left his lips. "Avada Kadrva!" he shouts and once again a blinding green lights emits frim his wand, hitting he girl.

I let out a gasp, scoot away from the scene as the girl falls down beside us. I turn to Ominis who had tears running down his face. He never told us that his brother killed her, only that Ominis had to torutre her.

The memory fade out and we are back into the classroom.
