Recently it's been raining a lot which isn't good for humans but it's amazing to us vampires. You can't see the sun which means no shadow.

"Okay. Dusty and Hyde when we go into town no one would be used to vampires. We must keep our eyes down and except for you Dusty."
"Why me!?" I asked.
"Look at your hair."

I stand up and go to the mirror. I look at my hair.
"It's red." Said Hyde.
"Blood red."
"Exactly you two. Now look at his eyes. Again they are blood red."
"So everyone will think he loves the colour red."

"So?"
"So we need to use you to talk and stuff."
"Yeah but what about my fangs?"
"Mumble."
"That's cool guys but one thing. What about our blood craving."
"We'll have to deal with it. If it gets too strong we'll have to leave."

There was silence for a while then I asked.
"What is even is the point of going to town?"
"Look. This is our one chance before...."
"Before what!?" I asked angrily.
"Doesn't matter."

We were walking down the quiet street. There were many cars and many eyes on us.
"Hey vamp why are there so many people looking at us?" Asked Hyde.
"Look at Dusty's hair."
She looked at my hair.
"Yeah but many people have red hair."
"Not blood red." I said pulling off my hood and running my hand through my hair.

"Dusty put your hood back up!" Whisper/shouted vamp.
"But the rain. It feels nice on my head and my hair."
"Would you like people to know that we exist?"
"Yes. Yes I would."
Vamp sighed. So did Hyde.

"Vamp I guess it's alright for Dusty to have his hood down. I can smell meat anyway. You said we could get some remember?"
"Yeah. Let's go in here." He said as vamp dragged us into a shop that sold meat.

As I entered I had never smelt anything better. Vamp and Hyde were looking at the ground but pretending to look at the meat. I started doing the same but then vamp nudged me."

I looked up slightly and said.
"Hi. Can I have some rabbit." I was shaking. I wasn't scared. I was nervous. I was crushing my other hand.
"Ve don't haf any vabbit." Said the French butcher.

I looked up at him and smiled.
"Okay. Can I have some deer?"
"Sovy. Ve don't haf that either. Vhy do vou need this meat?"
"Oh. It was my mum. I guess I'll have some chicken then." I said.
"Hov much?"

I looked at him confused.
"What!?"
"Hov much chucken?"
"Oh right. Sorry sir. Can I have three."
"Thvee chucken?"
"Yes." I said. Trying not to make direct eye contact.

The butcher gave me three chickens as he looked at me weirdly.
"Zat vill be sveventeen." He said as he put out his hand. I gave him the right money and walked out. Vamp and Hyde followed.

"Wow Dusty. That was amazing. You almost sound human." Vamp said to me.
"Well. What do you know. I used to be human once." I said that a bit loud. Someone walked past and kinda laughed.

After a while the rain started to stop and a lot more people decided to come.

I could tell something was wrong with Hyde.
"Hyde what's wrong?" I asked.
"I need blood." Is all she said. I looked into her eyes. They were dark red.
"I think it's time to leave." I said to vamp quickly and quietly.
He looked at me confused. I pointed to Hyde.

Vamp grabbed Hyde by the arm and turned around. This was a bad idea. We walked into a crowd of people. Suddenly I felt my blood thirst hit. I think it hit vamp too. He kept looking at the ground and closing his eyes.

About a minute later we made it through the crowd. We found an ally way between two buildings. Vamp looks at me and he smiles. A smile that warms my body.

We crouch down and then we jumped. We jumped really high.
"Hold on Hyde!" Shouted vamp.
"Hey. I can run myself!" Shouted Hyde slightly annoyed. I just laughed.

I think I laughed too hard. They both death stared me.
"Okay. I'm gonna go now. I'll see you guys back at our little cabin house thing." I said.
I ran back along the buildings and tree tops till I reached home.

As soon as I got home I went and looked into the mirror. I looked at my hair and eyes. They were right. I looked most human out of them. I look like a punk. But one thing is missing.

Earrings.
Yes that's right.
I secretly took them out of Hyde's ears when I bit her. Yes it sounds disgusting but I would look epic.

I took this loop thing earrings looking thing and opened it. I got the pin part and stabbed it into my ear. I didn't feel much. Vampires are really good with pain. I got the other one and jabbed it in above the ring.

It felt good. Really good. The pain I mean but the earrings is so co-
"Dusty come here now. We need to tell you. Something." Said Hyde.
"Okay. Um what is it."
"We are m-" she got cut off by vamp.
"You got an earring!?"
"Kinda." I said.

I looked at their very angry faces.
