Forrest jump
After I ran I didn't bother going back to school. I decided it would be best if I just went home. I guess vamp could read my thoughts because his car just can speeding round the corner.
"Hop in." He said. I just smiled.
"Sorry. I needed to leave." I said as I looked at my feet.
"Hey it's fine. I was the one who turned you into what you are now."
"A monster." I laughed. Vamp looked angry. I read his emotions and I was right.
"Dusty you are not a monster. You are a boy who just doesn't know who they are!"
"I know exactly what I am. I'm a monster. A monster like you."
"We aren't monsters. We are just different."
"And that makes us monsters."
I could tell vamp was angry. Really angry.
"If being different means your a monster then that means everyone is. Everyone is different. You cant put us all in the same category."
"Yeah and we belong in the monster category."
"Dusty you need to stop telling yourself this. I used to think this but I've changed. I may have been a monster but that was int the past. You've never been a monster. The only time you think this is when you really are one but it may never happen."
I couldn't stand it anymore. As soon as we pulled up to or house I got out and ran at vampire pace to the Forrest. I don't care if anyone sees me. They won't believe what they saw. If the do then they'll know that monsters are real.
I made it into the Forrest but I still felt angry. Usually the feel of wind brushing against my face would calm me down but it didn't. I think it would work better if I climb then I'll jump.
I decided to walk to a mountain. I was just looking round at the nature. The beautiful nature. One of the best things about being a vampire is you can see and hear almost everything. I looked over at a flower that was about five meters in front of me but I could see all it's pollen.
I found the tallest mountain and climbed it. If I was still human it would have been nearly impossible. Luckily I'm not human. I'm something else. I'm just not sure what I am.
The top was windier and it felt good. I loved the feeling of wind blowing on my face. The stronger the better and this wind was strong.
Instead of just jumping I decided to set up a mini obstacle course over and through trees. I knew where the water was so I could run along the trees then jump in. Then if I felt like it I could do it again and again.
I jumped to the first tree gripping hold of the branches. I jumped to the next one then to the next. I ran along a branch to one that was almost touching. The branches wouldn't break because I'm as light as a feather but when I fall I'm like a brick.
I found a tree bigger then all the others. I knew this was near the water. I climbed to the top and looked down. The view was worth more then money could buy. It was wonderful.
As wonderful as it was I wanted to jump. I took a step back then ran forward and jumped. It felt like I was falling slow motion. Then I got into a dive position and took the perfect dive. I never knew I could do such a thing.
I got out all wet. I didn't mind though. I'm a vampire! I can't feel the temperature! I loved it well that was before I felt an emotion.
I knew it wasn't mine. The emotion was regret. I definitely don't regret what I just did.
"Who's there!?" I stupidly shouted. I don't know why I did it I guess I wasn't scared.
"Dusty? What are you doing out here?" I recognised that voice. I knew it was Hyde.
"I could ask you the same question." I said.
"Well I got angry at vamp. He can't just let you run. It's a dangerous world. I shouted at him. I got angry. Real angry and ran off. I'm kinda lost now."
I couldn't help but laugh.
"So what are you doing?"
"I was pretty stressed out so I ran here and made some tree course because the wind against my face always calms me down."
"We better get going before any humans see us. Then The Shanti will get involved. I'm guessing vamp told you?"
"Yep. Who told you?"
"So could you show me your course. It'll help us get home."
I knew Hyde was hiding something but I let it go. I wasn't really in the mood to know. I just wanted to be free.
"Follow me." I says as I started walking slowly up.
We talked the whole way. We could've run and it would've been a lot faster but I wanted to get to know her a bit more. Hyde is really funny. I never knew she was. I thought she was just loved shopping like normal girls. Well I guess she isn't normal. Non of us are.
When we reached the top Hyde stopped talking and her emotions changed from interest to amazement and love.
"Now I can see why this calms you down. This view is amazing."
"I know. I like to think of it as my calm spot."
"Cool. So how do we get home?" Asked Hyde. I almost forgot. Oops.
"Right. We just walk across the trees for awhile. We should reach a clearing then our house is in front of us."
"Coolies." Said Hyde as I laughed.
We ran across the trees and I was right. We reached home and saw vamp waiting for us. I could tell he was worried.
"I'm sorry vamp. I di-"Started Hyde but he stopped her.
"It wasn't your fault. It's mine. I understand why you got angry." Said vamp. Then he turned to me.
"I'm sorry........Dust-Dude." He finally said. I smiled.
"It's cool vamp the lamp."
"Why am I a lamp?"
"Because when ever you are around me you lighten me up."
Vamp then unexpectedly leaned in and hugged me and I did too. We were finally a family.
A happy family.
