(y/n) POV

I was going to die, but I'll be danmed if I don't at least try to kill Salem! "If you wish to blame, blame Ozpin. It was because of him that you threw your life away." she said, "N..n..no!" I said weakly, "if I'm going to die then I'm taking you with me!" I yelled as I opened the void containing Goddess Fall. Although it wasn't my cursed gear I could still use it as a weapon, but its abilities would not activate. I stood up and supported myself with the axe. I activated my crimson eyes, since if I activated my dark aura then my aura would be depleted quickly and in turn I would bleed out quickly, I rushed at Salem with one a fraction of my full speed but it was enough to catch her off guard. I slashed at her head, but sercame to the pain of my wound and swung over her head. I recovered just in time to block her sword. I spun the axe and disarmed her or so I thought. She blasted me with a dark energy sending me back. 'It's time for my secret technique' I thought, I opened four voids two in front of Salem's arms, one above her head, and one beneath her feet. "NOW YOU DIE!!!" I yelled as I moved the voids around her arms, legs, and head. I then closed them all simultaneously effectively decapitating and dismembering her. I sent the severed parts of her to the far reaches of remnant and the rest of her body to the bottom of the ocean.

I did it I beat Salem. I fell backwards. The adrenaline was fading and I was going to die. Then I heard the familiar sound of a portal opening and Aunt Raven ran through. Once she saw me she froze. "(y..y/n) where's Salem?" she asked, I coughed up a bit of blood "she's gone." I said curtly. I heard her sigh in relief and then dad ran through the portal. He picked me up without saying a word, when he finally spoke all he could say was "let's go get you married bud." I could tell he knew that I wanted to marry Blake before I died.

Dad a lied me down in front of Blake.  "B..Blake Belladonna do you take (y/n) Fall to be your husband?!" dad said with tears in his eyes. "I.. I do!" Blake said as she began to cry. "(y/n) Fall do you take Blake Belladonna to be your wife?!" dad said still holding back tears, "I do." I said weakly. "I pronounce you husband and wife! Now kiss the bride!!" dad yelled and Blake kiss me. "Y... you can't die on me now! Not now that we're married!" Blake cried, "I... I don't want to go, but I don't have a choice my love." I said as my final breath.

Blake POV

"N..no. No! NOOO!" I cried as the man I love died before my eyes.  "M...mommy why is daddy taking a nap in the middle of the wedding?" Sky asked luckily Yang got in front of her and stopped her form seeing the dead body of her father. Mom came up behind me and placed her hand on my shoulder. I turned and hugged as I sobbed in my mothers chest.

A few days later we had the funeral. I think that's when Sky really began to realize that her father had died and that he wasn't coming back. Sky ran off somewhere, but I could still hear her sobbing. I wish there was something I could do to help her, but there isn't nothing I could say or do could make any of this okay.

After the funeral everyone went back to Winter's house. I sent Sky to live with Aaron and Rose until I could get myself together. I see why (y/n) chose Aaron to be Sky's godfather and not Jaune or Ren. Aaron might joke around a lot but in the end you can always rely on him to be there when you need him.

Aaron POV

Sky has been living with Rose and I for almost three days now and she has only left her room to go to the bathroom. She hasn't come down stairs to eat at one point I brought her some food to eat, but when Rose went to check on her she found the tray of food I brought her outside the door untouched. "This is bad. I get that she's upset about (y/n)'s death and not being with her mom, but just sitting up in her room and not eating anything. I'm worried about her Aaron." Rose said, "I'm going to go check on her. Maybe I'll find out why she acting like this." she said as she got up from the couch and walked upstairs to Sky's room.

Rose POV

"Sky sweetheart mind if I come in?" I asked as I knocked on the door. When Sky opened the door I didn't see the bright, happy, smiling, and loving little girl I once knew in her place I found a sleep deprived, sad, and hungry girl. She walked back to where she was sitting. I entered the room and it was freezing. "Sweetheart you should close that window or your going to catch cold." I said as I walked over to the closed and locked window. "I'll be fine. I like the cold. It doesn't bother me in the slightest." she said,"Sky sweetheart what's wrong?" I asked as sympathetically as I could. "I miss daddy." she said as she began to cry, I walked over to her and hugged her and wiped her tears away. "I can't sleep because of the nightmares! I never want to eat because I'm afraid I'll get sick! I just want my daddy back!" she cried, "I know, I know. I miss him too, but do you think your daddy would be happy if he saw what you were doing?" I said as I stroked her hair. "Come on let's dry those tears and go get you something to eat. And then you'll get a bath and then bedtime. If you want you can sleep in my room with me and Aaron." I said as she looked up at me. She nodded and dried her tears.

We walked downstairs and I took Sky to the kitchen and made her some leftover spaghetti. I went back to the couch and sat down next to Aaron and put my head on his shoulder. "She's going to be sleeping with us tonight. She's back having nightmares every time she tries to sleep. And as for her now eating she was scared that she was going to get sick. And her not leaving her room was because she misses her dad. She's been through a lot in a relatively short time." I said Aaron just nodded. "I kinda feel bad for her you know. She lost her father and in a way she lost her mother as well." Aaron said, I gave him a little peck on the cheek, "I would say we could adopt her, but I'm pretty sure Blake is going to come back from her sooner or later." I said, "let me guess you want a kid now." he said slightly laughing, "and if I do?" I said just to annoy him. I could tell that my response caught him off guard, my usual response to having kids is "not happening" or "no way" really anything along the lines of no but I kinda like having a kid in the house it makes everything a bit brighter somehow, "who are you and what have you done with my Rose?!" Aaron joked I just playfully pushed him.

After Sky got done eating three and a half plates of spaghetti I gave her a bath. To my surprise she didn't mind the water even though she was a cat faunus. I washed her hair and her back. I let her wash herself for the most part. I went to her room and got her some clothes that Blake packed for her, then I saw a picture of her family and began to tear up. I quickly wiped away my tears and went to get Sky out of the bath.

After Sky got her red and black pjs on she asked for her necklace. I looked confused then I remembered the necklace that she always wore. "Do you mean the necklace your Grandma Cinder gave you?" I asked, she nodded, "don't worry sweetie it's on my nightstand. I didn't want anything to happen to it so I moved it there. I'm sorry I should've told you I was moving it." I said Sky ran past me and grabbed her necklace and put it on. "Are you ready for bed Sky?" I asked picking her up and setting her on the bed. She rubbed her eyes and yawned a bit. "I'll take that as a yes." I said will a smile.

At about three thirty in the morning I felt Sky gripping the back of my nightshirt and quietly crying. I gently rolled over to face her, "what's the matter sweetheart?" I asked, " I had a nightmare." she said as she hugged me and cried into my chest, "what was it about?" I asked, but I would soon wish I hadn't, "i...in my nightmare that mean scary lady from the wedding came back and killed everyone except for me. She just looked at me and laughed. Then everything goes dark and I'm all alone and then daddy showed up but he had glowing red eyes like a grimm and then he stabbed me." she said as she began to cry more. I didn't know what to say or do, all I could think was 'I have to help her, she needs her family more than ever right now'. I pulled her in close and stroked her hair as I hugged her.

Eventually I got Sky to go back to sleep.

Later that morning I woke up cuddling with a little black kitten, it's ears were white at the tips, "A...Aaron why is there a kitten in our bed and where is Sky?!" I asked slightly alarmed, "what do you mean.... holy crap she actually does transform into a kitten!" Aaron said, I glared at him, " explain now." I said sternly, "ok, ok. Before we left Atlas Blake stopped me and told me that Sky could magically transform herself into a kitten. I just thought she was messing with me so I didn't mention it to you." he said and Sky woke up. Black and purple smoke began to come from the kitten and soon sitting where the kitten had been was Sky. "*yawn* Good morning." Sky said as she rubbed her eyes.

Aaron went downstairs to cook breakfast while Sky and I watched some cartoons in bed. "Guys foods ready!" Aaron yelled from the kitchen. We went down and had pancaked and beacon, I looked over at the clock, "shoot, Sky finish up you have daycare today." I said, "I..I don't want to go." she said softly, "why not sweetie?" I asked, "I'm afraid that all my friends forgot me and that there going to make fun of me." she said softly, "Sky sweetheart I would never let that happen!" I said, Sky nodded and finished eating and then got dressed for daycare.

Later that afternoon I came home with Sky. "UNBELIEVABLE!" I yelled, "what happened?" Aaron asked, "SKY WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE KIDS BULLING HER! ALL EXCEPT BLAKE AND DAN WHO TRIED TO STOP SOME KIDS FROM BEATING HER UP!" I said angrily, Aaron looked at Sky and saw that her clothes were ripped and covered in dirt, she had several cuts and bruises on her arms, legs, and face, "who did this?!" he asked angrily, "No one messes with my goddaughter and gets away with it!" he said as sparks of electricity formed around his fist. I handed him a list of all the kids who beat up Sky. "I'll be back." he said as he left.

Aaron POV   

I went to the the house of the first kid on the list, Samantha Foster, I rang the door bell. "Hello?" a woman said, normally I would have "flirted" with her but I was pissed off at the moment, "Hi I'm Aaron Adams your daughter goes to daycare with my niece Sky Fall, if it's not too much trouble I would like to have a word with you and Samantha." I said trying my best to hide my anger, "y..yes I don't see a problem with that please come in. I'm May Foster." she said as we entered the house. "SAM COULD YOU PLEASE COME DOWN HERE FOR A MOMENT!" May said, "yeah, yeah what is it?" Samantha said as she walked down the stairs.

After May explained who I was and that I was here to talk to them Samantha got a nervous expression. We all sat down. "How much do you know about why Sky left Vale?" I asked, "not much only that after the Fall of Beacon no one heard from her. To be honest I thought she was dead up until today." Samantha said, "well she was there, she saw people die if it wasn't for her grandfather she would have died that night. After that she went to Menagerie with a man named Sun to be with her mother. Eventually she was reunited with her father at the attack of Haven. Team RWBY, JNPR, her father, Grandpa Qrow, and Ozpin all went to Atlas to live with her Grandma Winter. Eventually her a woman named Cinder Fall came to their door, she was the one who caused the fall, and begged for forgiveness. Sky had to endure several attempts at her mothers life by Lucinda Summers her aunt. Lucinda eventually murdered Cinder in front of Sky traumatizing her. A few short months later at my best friends wedding a woman showed up and killed two people, the first was a man named Grey, and the second was (y/n) Fall Sky's father. Now this might just be me, but I can't think of a reason why my niece deserved to get beaten up just because she didn't talk to a few people who thought she was dead!" I said, May looked shocked then looked over at Samantha, "i...is that true Sam? Did you really beat up Sky?!" she asked, "NO, she's lying to you no one touched her!" Samantha yelled, "I had a feeling you would say something like that so I took the liberty of taking a few pictures of Sky's injuries." I said as I took out my scroll and showed a holographic image of Sky's injuries. Samantha began to tear up, "FINE I DID IT BUT SHE DESERVED IT! SHE IGNORED ME EVERY TIME I TRIED TO TALK TO HER!" she yelled, "SAMANTHA I THOUGHT I RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THAT! I am so sorry Mr. Atoms will Sky be ok?" May asked, "yes she should be fine in a bout a week or so." I said as I began to leave the house.

That night I had that exact same conversation with eighteen other families. By time I got home it was almost midnight. "So how did it go?" Rose asked, "I don't think Sky is going to get beaten up anymore." I said giving Rose a kiss then I went to bed.

(y/n) POV

"So this is the after life? I thought there would be more than just an empty white void." I said narcissistically, "I'm sorry it's not to your liking Mr.Fall." a man said from behind me. I turned around and instinctively reached for Negistigma. I saw a giant golden man with horns standing before me. "There's no need for violence." he said, "who are you?!" I asked, "That's not important, but for now you may call me Light." Light said, "ok then Light why are you here?", "I'm here to give you a second chance. For countless centuries I have been casually observing the progress of man kind, and I found that you represent the best of humanity as a hole and it would be a shame to let someone like you die." he said, "whats the catch? There's always a catch like if I accept then I'll have to redeem humanity, or I will never get to see my family again." I said, "the 'catch' is Salem has revived your body as a grimm I want you to destroy it before it kills your loved ones." he said, "ok but my cursed gear was destroyed in my battle with Salem, and if I know Salem she created a powerful cursed gear for him, so how do you expect me to destroy him without mine?" I asked, "I will provide a weapon far stronger than a cursed gear. I will give you a weapon called a divine gear." he said as a golden blade appeared at his side. "This is your divine gear Void." he said, "but void is my semblance." I said in disbelief, "it is one of your semblances. You will have two, the first being void, and the second is divine. divine allows you to tap into god like power for as long as it's active. And as for you divine gears abilities they are similar to Negistigma's, but it has more shifts." he said, "now go and fulfill your task. you shall live on until its complete." he said, "hmm, I don't know, if I do this for you I want to live. I want to be with Blake and Sky. I want to raise my daughter." I said, Light nodded and I was revived.

A/N: I hope you liked this chapter. It saddens me to say, but this is the last chapter. The next chapter will just be what all the weapons looked like and what Void will look like. But where one story ends a new one begins and I am proud to announce the arrival of Remnants! I'm not going to say much about it except that its set six years after the "death" of the reader.
