(y/n) POV

As Lucinda and I walked down the alley towards the dust shop we were told to rob I activated my dark aura to disguise my appearance. Although mom was the one who had told us to rob the shop in the first place she still made me take my new outfit she bought me as a welcome home gift as well as my black and silver aviator sunglasses. My new outfit consisted of a black leather jacket with my symbol on the right sleeve, a red shirt, and a pair of black jeans. I liked it, but Lucinda said it made me look like a tool. It's been almost a month since Lucinda moved in with us, which forced mom to get a bigger apartment, and she hasn't let up with her insults yet.

"Whats the plan?" Lucinda asked as we approached the end of the alley. Mom had provided us with five men to help with the heist. "Well I was thinking we take the direct approach and see how it goes." I said, Lucinda just glared at me.

We began to walk towards the dust shop and as we did I thought I saw someone watching us, but I soon dismissed it. I opened the door to the store and put the box for dust storage on the table. "Sir could you put all the dust you got in here," I said which got a chuckle out of him, I then pulled shadow fang out from my sleeve and opened the blade, "that wasn't a joke now dust, box Now!" I demanded this time he got the message and the grunts got to work.

About thirty minutes into the robbery I heard a disturbance from outside. I got scared and decided to end the heist early. I opened a void and ordered everyone to go through it back to mom's secret base. Just as Lucinda and I were about to go through ourselves we were stopped by a large ice shard being shot at us. luckily it missed. "Go I'll be fine. I'll hold them off and then join you, but I'll need to borrow Mistralchain." I said as Lucinda nodded and handed me the revolver sword. once she went threw the void I turned around. "STOP RIGHT THERE" a tall woman dressed in white and blue said. I lunged at her but she blocked my attack I pulled out shadow fang and stabbed at her. Suddenly a black glyph appeared under my feet I couldn't move. "Your coming with me."she said as she put me into handcuffs

Time skip two hours later

It was obvious to me that she was trying to get me to tell her who put me up to robbing the dust shop but I wouldn't say a word to her. Then the last person I expected to see showed up. "Qrow why are you here? I have this under control." she said, "shut it Winter I have business with the kid." he said as he took my switch blade from her.

When my father entered the room the first thing he did was stab my blade into the metal table. "Who are you kid now you might have gotten away with toying with Ice Queen back there, but not with me." he said, "you really don't recognize me do you?" I asked almost narcissistically. "I have an idea of who you are but I can't be sure." he said as another man walked into the room "Ozpin?! What are you doing here?" my father said, "I'm here to see your son, considering he's missed coming to work with you for the past four years." the man said. When my father heard this his eyes were full of pain and grief. Seconds later my dark aura had reached it's limit and the last of my aura drained. My hair went back to normal, and I changed my eye color from red back to silver. "Why is it a random stranger remembers me, but my own father doesn't?!" I shouted, "calm down Mr. Branwen it's no-" Ozpin's was cut short of finishing, "Fall! My name is (y/n) Fall not Branwen." I said, my father looked shocked and then angry. "YOU KNEW?! YOU KNEW HE WAS ALIVE AND DIDN'T TELL ME! NO WORSE THAN THAT YOU DIDN'T TELL SUMMER THAT OUR SON WAS ALIVE!" he yelled, suddenly Winter fell through the door making it apparent that she was eavesdropping on us. "Nice going Ice Queen." I mocked, "Who told you that name?!" she said angrily, I pointed at my father who was glaring at Ozpin. He then grabbed his sword and put the blade mere inches away from Ozpin's throat. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right here and now!" he said Ozpin simply pointed at me. "Who are you to Qrow?" Winter asked, "I'm his son and you?" I said, "I'm his fiancee." she said as she began to fiddle with her ring. "Congrats you get to marry my drunken mess of a father, did he ever even mention me or my mother to you?" I said in an attempt to make her mad. "Yes he has and now that your back what will you do? Will you go back to where ever you have been hiding for the past four years or will you come live with your father and I?" she said, I'd been backed into a corner if I left my father than he would just find me again, but if I went with them I my never see mom or Lucinda again. "I really don't like you right now." I said, "But theirs a third option," I said as I stood up and pulled Negistigma out of a void, "I could kill everyone here and go where ever I want!" I said as a sadistic grin came across my mouth. "Where did you get that from?!" Ozpin said as my father looked over at me, "Qrow get that thing away from him now!" he said, I dropped Negistigma back into a void. I collapsed in pain, I had used the cursed blade hundreds of times before and this never happened. I cried out in pain, Winter rushed to my side and saw strange burns on my hand where Negistigma was. She used her semblance to make an Ice pack for my hand, and used her aura to try to heal me as well. I then passed out my energy had been wiped from my dark aura and from summoning Negistigma's void twice.

Time skip two days later

I had finally woken up, "w..where am I?" I asked a dazed and surprised Winter, "your in the nurses office at Beacon academy, I'll go get your father." she said but I grabbed her sleeve before she could fully get away, "Winter I'm scared." I admitted, "why are you scared (y/n)?" she asked, I looked down, "what If their was a person who you feared so much that you couldn't help but obey them, and what if they gave you a task and you failed, what would happen?" I said as a tear ran down my cheek, "(y/n) whats going on?" she asked I looked down at my bandaged right hand.

"Well looks like he's finally awake, how are you feeling bud?" my father said, " what happened to me?" I asked, but both my father and Winter looked at each other trying to decide on how to explain what happened. " Well (y/n) that weapon you used had badly burned your right hand, when we asked Ozpin what caused this to happen he refused to give us any information." Winter said, her tone was soft and gentle unlike how it was when I first met her.

" Where's Mistralchain?" I asked, "it's locked up in the evidence vault where it will stay." my father said, "that's fine but I need to get the chain off of it!" I said, "why?" Winter asked, I knew I couldn't tell her the truth but I also couldn't completely lie about it, "if what happens is what I think is going to happen then I at least think I deserve something to remember her by. I might have only been with her for a year but she became more of a mother to me than anyone else." I said, tears fell from my eyes. In my time with Salem I had learned how to mask, hide, and fake emotions and how to cry at will. But these tears weren't fake the sadness and pain I felt when I realized that I probably wouldn't ever be able to see mom again was real. Before I could get a hold of myself Winter pulled me into a hug trying to comfort me. "It's ok to cry when your sad (y/n)." her words shocked me the entire time I was with Salem I had been taught to never show even the slightest hint of emotion, so when I was told it was ok to cry all the tears that I had held back for the past year had been released all at once.

Time skip four weeks later

Cinder POV

It's been four weeks since (y/n) and Lucinda's heist and (y/n) still hadn't returned. "Lucinda get ready to continue with the plan. You will be attending Signal academy posing as my niece. Your name will be Lucinda Summers." I said, despite my efforts it was obvious that I was worried about (y/n).  I could tell that Lucinda felt responsible for what happened. "It's not your fault, while what happened to (y/n) is regrettable I can not allow it to affect the plan." I said placing my hand on her shoulder.

(y/n) POV 

I had been living with Winter "and" my father for a little over two weeks now. The nurses at Beacon wanted to keep me for observation for two weeks. I was fine with it, and I wasn't lonely at all considering Winter visited me everyday.

"(y/n) its time for dinner!" Winter called, when I was forcibly moved in with my father I had gotten my own room. It wasn't as big or nice as the one I had at Salem's castle, but I liked it. Ever since I had moved in it had just been Winter and I living here. She was always nice to me and never once hit me even when I deserved it, which I found strange but never questioned it. "Alright I'll be down in a sec Ice Queen." I yelled back, she hated it when I called her Ice Queen. She insisted on me calling her mom since in less than a year she would technically be my stepmother, but I animatedly refused. Cinder Fall is my mom and no one could ever make me feel otherwise.

When I went downstairs their were more people than usual, most noticeably the woman who looked a lot like Winter but older and less happy. When I reached the bottom of the stairs Winter rushed behind me, "mother this is (y/n) he's going to be my stepson, he's also the boy that I told you about when I told you about Qrow and I." she said, I nudged Winter in the leg with my elbow to get her attention, "whats going on here Ice Queen?" I whispered, I could tell that she wasn't amused or at least was more annoyed that she didn't explain what was going on to me sooner. But before Winter could explain anything the woman walked over to us, "hello (y/n) I'm Willow Schnee, when Winter or as you call her 'Ice Queen' told me that you were alive I just had to come see for my self." she said, "I see now, Winter must have felt bad for me considering my father abandoned me." I said, I was met with a slap from a girl around my age who looked very angry. "My sister wouldn't feel sorry for you she thought it best to tell out mother that you were alive for legal purposes!" the girl said angrily, "geese let it go Ice Princess it was a joke, I could care less if she felt bad for me or not." I said, Winter just sighed at this comment "Weiss be nice to him from what he's told me he went through more in the past four years than anyone his age should." she said as she went down onto her knees to look her sister in the eye. "Like what exactly?" Weiss asked, "he was separated from his parents and watched a little faunas girl die at a very young age, he went through far more intensive training than what you have gone through while living with a tribe of bandits for three years, when he finally got home his family was gone and the life he once knew over, he lived on the streets for three months using what he had learned to survive. That's all he is willing to tell me, I don't know if he wont tell me what happened in the year before Qrow and I found him because of trauma or to protect the woman who took him in, but I have faith that in time he'll tell me the rest of what happened." she said looking back at me giving a warm and gentle smile. 

"I have one question for him though," Weiss said, "is it true that you robbed a dust shop?" she said Winter looked shocked that Weiss even knew about that, "Weiss I don-" I cut Winter short of finishing, "yeah it's true I robbed a dust shop on my own, and I did it with this blade." I said as I pulled Shadow Fang out from my pocket. Winter smacked the back of my head, "(Y/N)! What have I told you about weapons in the house!" she scalded this wasn't my first scalding from her but it was the first time she had ever hit me, "sorry." I said putting Shadow Fang into a void. "Winter you didn't tell me that he robbed a dust shop. I knew that a bow who miraculously came back from the dead would be nothing but trouble!" Willow yelled, "Get out! If you're going to treat (y/n) like some common criminal then I don't want you to have anything to do with him!" Winter said. Willow scoffed and left, Weiss seemed conflicted but soon left with her mother. "I'm sorry that happened (y/n), lets not tell your father about this when he gets home. It was a stupid decision on my part thinking that I could get you put into the Schnee fortune. Well enough of this lets eat dinner I hope you like spaghetti cause it looks like we'll be eating it awhile." Winter said.

We ate dinner and talked a bit mostly we talked about the finer points of Aunt Raven's training, most of which would have killed most people, but tonight Winter had brought up a new topic school. "(y/n) how would you feel about enrolling in Signal academy this semester?" she asked I gave her a confused look, "I know you probably don't need to go but I feel it's best for you." she said as she handed me some papers, "just think about it, if you decide to go then sign your name there and if not then I'll respect your decision." she said I took the pen from her hand and signed my name at the bottom. "You've done a lot for me I figure this is the least I can do for you." I said.

Cinder POV 

As I got Lucinda ready I got a call from Salem. I informed her as to what happened with (y/n) and how we're moving forward with the plan.

'I will get you back and when I do I wont ever let you go' I thought, my eyes glowed with rage at the thought of (y/n) being lost or imprisoned and how I couldn't do anything to help him.

Time skip three weeks (y/n) POV

"Winter I'm going now!" I yelled as I attempted to leave before Winter could harass me for more pictures all last night she had forced me to wear my new uniform as take picture after picture. But before I could even get out of the door Winter used her gravity glyph to stop me. "Not so fast!" Winter said as she walked towards me camera in hand. "Please no more!" I cried, then I saw flash after flash. My vision went blurry, next thing I know I'm on the bus to Signal. I took a seat next to a girl with long blonde hair and violet eyes. When I sat down I had accidentally touched her hair and she punched me in the face. "What was that for?!" I asked holding my left cheek , "Don't touch my hair!" she said, "it was an accident." I said, I noticed that her once violet eyes had turned a deep red like mine did when I wanted them to. "Oh I'm sorry the names Yang and you are?" she said as she helped me up from the bus floor. "(y/n), (y/n) Fall." I said, "Nice to meet you (y/n)!" she said with a goofy smile. When she opened her eyes they were back to violet. 

When we got to school I looked at the schedule that Winter had given me before I had left. My first class was AP Combat 3. I went to the classroom and when I entered the room I was the youngest one there. "OK class take your seat." a familiar voice said from behind me, I turned around and saw my father. "OH COME ON!" I said, "please tell me you're not the teacher." I said hoping that he was just messing with me. "Yep now come on." he said dragging me to the front of the classroom, "This is (y/n), he may be younger than all of you, but if I had to guess he is a lot stronger than any of you." he said to the class, "so for his first lesson (y/n) will fight any one person in the class, this will also hopefully erase any doubts about his being here." he said. "Wait I can fight whoever I want?!" I said, he nodded, "good then I'll fight you, might as well give them a glimpse of the gap between me and them." I said with a devious grin.

We went to the combat arena I had my "combat gear" on, I didn't have any so I wore the outfit mom gave me for the heist. I stood in the arena hands behind my head. I could hear the others make snide comments like 'cocky little brat' or 'I hope Mr. Branwen kicks his ass and drops him from the class'. "You ready (y/n)?" my father asked, I took my stance and opened a small void behind me and pulled Negistigma's hilt out from it "I'm ready when ever you are old man." I said, when the pulled his Misfortune out I pulled the rest of Negistigma out. I rushed at him and faked an attack. I continued my swift movements and false attacks until I received a swift kick to the gut. I coughed up a bit of spit from the kick. "Not bad old man, but I'm still holding back." I said as I switched Negistigma into scythe mode. I jumped and spun in the air, I opened a void and went into it, I opened multiple voids around my father and launched my omnidirectional spin assault. I landed about five hits with the assault until he began to use his scythe as well. I grinned and put on my aviators. "No more holding back, I'll show you what Aunt Raven taught me!" I said as I activated my crimson eyes. I switched my weapon back to a sword. I sprinted around the arena, I was easily three times as fast as when the fight started, I rushed at my father. I had practiced this move with mom and Lucinda, I highly doubt that he's fast enough to dodge like Lucinda, or completely block all of my attacks like mom could. I slashed at him rapidly I was moving so fast that I created an after image. I landed about twenty of the forty strikes, I was getting board and my aura was almost completely full so I activated my dark aura. I lunged at my father as I hoped he was going to block my attack. I put my feet down to the floor skidding to a halt I then spun around and hit him from the side with the back of my blade sending him fling to the other end of the arena. He only managed to stay in the arena by throwing his sword behind him and using it to stop himself. I dropped Negistigma into a void and pulled Shadow Fang out of my sleeve I opened the blade and turned it so I held it underhanded. I lunged at my father and jumped to unleash an attack from above, but before I could he raised his hands and ended the match. "(y/n) wins." he said, "it's only natural that I won, I mean according to Aunt Raven I was stronger than you when I was two years old. Isn't that right dad!" I said loud enough for the class to hear.  I deactivated my dark aura and before my father could say anything the bell rang and I used my void to teleport out to the hallway.

I started to walk to my next class when I bumped into a girl knocking both of us to the ground. "I'm sorry I'm new and I'm still trying to find my way around here." I said as I got up and extended my hand to help her up. "It's fine I still get lost sometimes too."she said looking up at me. "LUCINDA!", "(Y/N)!" we both yelled at the same time .

Yay another chapter done now just in case anyone was wondering what Lucinda looks like or will look like in a few chapters I'm going to clarify that.

Just imagine her but with black hair and wolf ears.
