The office was busy today. Kay wasn't the only lady in town who shamelessly threw herself at Paul Ravensdale Jr. But she was certainly one of the most determined. As she lay there, anticipating his large hands on her back, she tensed up a little. He began to feel his way down her spine and every touch made her move.

"Hold still, Kay," he told her.

"I'm trying," she told him.

Then he cracked her back and shoulders. She lay there for a second.

"You can sit up," he said.

Then he began to feel her neck and she laughed. He stopped.

"Sorry. I guess I'm just a bit ticklish."

"Yes, I know," he said, trying again.

"There," he said, and took her head in his large hands and twisted just right until her neck cracked, and then the other way and it cracked again.

"All right, Kay, that's it," he told her.

She stood up and looked at him, smiling in her best flirtatious way. "Thank you, doctor."

"Now you don't need to come back until Wednesday," he said.

"Wednesday?"

"Yep," he said. "I only need to see you twice a week now. Have a great weekend and a Happy New Year!" With that he walked out of the room.

Just like that, Kay was denied again. But she wasn't defeated yet. She would find a way.
