Start of the Truth

Dusk
I know, full well, the others are tiring of my...eh... evasivness. I know but I'm hardly going to open up about it: my past before made me an outcast, a freak, to some a monster. I am not going through that again.

I'm with the others at the portal, trying yet another spell to open it and failing like every other time. I groan and rub my head, a buzz from the excessive magic burning.
"Still nothing," I mutter, glaring at the ground.
"You'll get there..." Fluttershy says, softly. I really hope she's right. It's my fault he managed to get through: I have to undo my failure.
"I don't think he will," Sombra mocks, appearing in front of us. "And I do know him bettee than you do." My eyes widen- yes they do know I know him somehow but they don't know how. It looks like he's going to ruin that, ruin everything.

"After all I'm sure you all know Dusk used to work for me," he comments before dissapearing, leaving me with a group of shocked, angry expressions.

This can't end well.

"You WORKED for SOMBRA?!" Dash yells, her pink eyes narrowing. I sigh, knowing full well there's no use in hiding it.
"Well...yes. But-" I begin, only to be cut off.
"'But' nothing!" Dash snaps. "I can't believe Twilight sent you! For all we know you could still be working for him!"
"Well I'm not..." I reply, fotcing my voice to be calm.
"Then why in tarnation are you always so distant?!" AJ cuts in. I open my mouth to respond but Sunset also seems to be annoyed at me.
"If you have nothing to hide then let me see your memories," she says crossing her arms .

Memories of sadness, pain, blood...being alone. Always alone.

"No," I state, cooly.
"Then you must have something bad to hide!" she snaps.
"N-" I begin.
"Just go!" Sunset hisses. I freeze. "Go!"
"She's right." Raph snaps. I see AJ and Dash nod in agreement, Fluttershy, Spike, Pinkie and Rarity watch us argue.

Fine. I do what I do best- run away. Don't look back. Don't show that it hurts.

I'm better off alone anyway.
