Sunset

We reach the portal- Dusk is sat there cross-legged, looking exhausted.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Yeah...I'm fine," he says, quietly, rubbing his eyes. "Just tired...I'm guessing you lot won?" I nod. "Wait...are you an alicorn now? What did I miss?"
"I have no idea..." I mutter. "No idea how this happened. Twi?"
"I'm not entirely sure," she admits. "But I know someone who will."
"Princess Celestia," I say with a small smile. I haven't seen her since we reconciled and I keep meaning to but we have a habit of getting into magic issues. Twi nods.
"Besides," she says, "It may be a good idea for you all to visit- she'll probably like to thank you for stopping Sombra."

Back to Equestria then.

"Are you ready to see Mom and Pop?" Garret asks, hopefully. I shake my head adamantly.
"I can't, Garrett. I know I did some awful things but I never did it to family. They were never there for me and they're the reason my path started to go so dark." I sigh. "I understand why you forgave them- you experienced much worse than I did- but I just can't."

He nods in understand and we walk through.

I'd briefly seen the girls in pony form when stealing Twilight's crown so their apperance is no surprise.

Dusk is practically an exact translation from pony to hunan like most of us, even keeping the slender physique. The one difference is his eyes are anbeven brighter purple, glints of magic reflecting in them. His cutie mark is an explosion...or a firework, really- half colourful the other half grey. He has fading scars- like me.

Celestia comes in, rainbow hair flowing out like billows of silk.
"Thankyou, all of you, for ridding us of Sombra's evil," she says. "Sunset, I'm so proud of you. Not only have you become a better pony, but you have also become an alicorn as I always knew you could. "
"I can still stay with my friends and Raph? Right?" I ask.
"Of course," she says. "If that is where you got your wings then I feel like that is where you belong."

Relief flows through me- I get to keep my friends and now with the threat gone Raph and I can get married.
