Jace Imagine: 24/7 {Request}
For @CrazyPartyGirl
Y/N Lightwood walked down the windy streets of New York City unnoticed by people, the mundanes. With a fully packed backpack slung over her bare shoulder which revealed swirling tattoos called runes, what shadowhunters used for special abilities. Y/N was sent out to move into the New York Institute for a mission, or what she called Babysitting. Her cousins Alec and Isabelle Lightwood (on her father's side of the family) and their adopted brother Jace Wayland, had been breaking some rules to help a girl, a typical mundane for her eighteen years of her life had discovered she was one of the Nephilim.
It was a little over ten years ago Y/N had last visited her cousins, and it had not gone too well. It was around that time the Lightwood parents had had another child, Max Lightwood. Isabelle and Alec weren't too thrilled to have another sibling in the family, even though they had fully excepted the golden haired orphan Jace, now Alec's parabatai. Y/N witnessed too many heated arguments and awkward family dinners that her parents decided it best to live at the Institute in London, overseas. Y/N loved the British air (as she called it) and made a small group of friends, but still searched for a parabatai.
Y/N snapped out of her daydreams as she walked up the stairs to the old church, or as the Nephilim know it as the Institute. Her breath was slightly taken away as she waltzed inside. Shadowhunters buzzed all around. One particularly busy shadowhunter had accidentally knocked Y/N off her feet. She fell back and stumbled into a pair of arms.
"Y/N Lightwood," A smirk formed on Jace's lips. "The high-strung ten year old returns." He steadied her to her feet as she glared at him.
"Yes, I have returned," She snapped. "But I wasn't high-strung! And I don't understand why you have to used words like "high-strung," seriously, who are you, my grandmother?" Jace looked at her surprised, damn she was still very high-hot tempered, he corrected himself.
"Where's Izzy?" Y/N changed the conversation. "I need to crash, I'm jetlagged times-twenty right now."
"She's upstairs," Jace laughed, finding his confidence again. "And as for crashing, my bed's 24/7 service." He added, leading the way to the staircase.
"Good to know." Y/N smirked feeling herself swoon a bit. Oh no, not a crush, she told herself. But as she watched Jace in a maybe not a particularly appropriate way, she realized she liked this feeling of a crush. A brand new start with a brand new adventure, and a hot muscular blonde shadowhunter!
