"You're looking pretty hot yourself, Mister." You giggle at the warlock in front of you. He grins and you see his sharp bat teeth, part of being a warlock. It was just another guy coming along to flirt with you. Alec was strongly against coming to the Pandemonium for a date, but after the two years of dating he realized when you wanted something, you get it. Even attention from other men. You had wondered why he hated this place, he always seemed so tense and grouchy, but you would laugh it off and try to show him a good time. You smiled as you saw Alec making his way back from the bar with two drinks, you turned back to the warlock leaning on your table.

"Listen Handsome, it was fun flirting with you, but my boyfriend is on his way over- you know, date night- and he gets a little over-protective." You gave a glowing smile and the dark warlock rolled his eyes. 

"I'm not afraid of your boyfriend," His smooth accent had you swoon a bit. "I'm willing to cast a spell if you're up for that bedtime fun we talked about." He dropped a wink and you laughed.

"My boyfriend's a shadowhunter," His face fell a little. "I'm sorry Hermy but he'll kick your ass." 

"It's Jeremy." He snapped before looking around fearfully and walking off. You looked around for Alec but didn't see him anymore. Then you noticed to abandoned drinks at a table a little ways away from yours. Damn it.

"Damn it Y/N!" He yelled, his blue eyes were angry and betrayed. "It was our date night! How could you do this again!?" 

"Again?" You asked quietly, the anger you felt at him drained away as you looked at him.

"Yes, again." Alec said softly. "Almost every date night for two years you end up flirting with some jerk and leave me listening to it." You felt your heart crack a little, did you really do that? It was just fooling around with some weirdo, it wasn't anything serious. You loved Alec with all of your heart. You got so lost in your thoughts you didn't even notice that Alec had walked away. You always had him by your side, what could you do without him?

"Y/N, Alec love you, he really does." Izzy tried to reassure you but you felt broken.

"All those dates were supposed to be about us, not goofing off. He just sat there and watched his girlfriend flirt with other men... How could I be so stupid Iz?" You started sobbing and didn't leave your bedroom for days.

You heard a knock on the door and Alec walked in. He looked tired and depressed as he sat on the bed beside you. 

"I'm sorry Y/N, please forgive me." You looked at him in surprise.

"What? Alec, I'm the one who's sorry! I should I have never ever done those things to you!" You grabbed his hands, they felt rough, but you knew they were very gentle. "It would break my heart if you flirted with other people, I'm so sorry baby." Alec smiled sadly.

"I didn't want you to think I was trying to change you. I love you." He said. "And I forgive you." 

A week later, your boyfriend of two years got on one knee and asked you to take his Lightwood name. You said yes.
