Lily was sitting on her bed,looking throught a old photo album, smiling softly at some silly pictures with her and her parents. It was good times,but now..now it seemed like her parents didn't had any time for her and they was busy with their own things. One of the reasons why they send Lily to New York's institute  for other Shadowhunters to deal with her. She was only 17 so she wasn't adult yet and couldn't take her part in the Clave meetings even if she always was courious about that what was going on there. She always wanted to know what made them so special? About what they was talking there? Was it about Valentine? The Circle? His children who might be working for him? About the law? About demon killing? Or maybe was they simply having a good laugh there and talking about the newest gossip? What the hell did Clave even do? After all it was Shadowhunters who killed all the demons and kept vampires and werewolfs in a line, who kept them from ripping each others throat out. 

Lily was a courious girl, but she could be also witty and sarcastic when needed. Lily had curly brown hair till her shoulders and the same color eyes, her skin covered with runes and old scars, but she still wasn't perfect at fighting. She nearly have gotten herself killed couple of times and she hated that. She wanted to be avible to take care of herself, but not always that happened. She was good in a fight with a blade, but once she lost it...she was screwed. One of the reasons why she wanted to learn how to shot with a bow and arrows since she could always carry them on her back while she would be still carring her blade around and it could be her main weapon while bow could be her back up one, the little thing which could save her life when needed. 

All of suddently The young Shadowhunter looked up from her album and closed it shut before just throwing it in one of her drawers as she stood up. That's it. She will stop being a lazy ass and finally will do something to finally reach her target. She will learn how to use a bow and arrows no matter what that costs her. Time, strenght...whatever is needed. 

The brunette went to her closet so she could change into some more comfortable clothes like a tank top,pants and sneakers. She walked out from her room and down the long hallways where you could easily get lost if you got distracted and wasn't looking where you are going as she finally found the training room, nobody was there and she was actually surprised. After all didn't the other Shadowhunters trained or was they so perfect at that what they was doing that they didn't even needed it in the first place? 

Lily walked to all the weapons and grabbed a bow and arrow as she bite her bottom lip and looked around at all the targets she could shot. Where to start? She licked over her lips who all of suddently felt dry or more like she was nervous as she got into a positioned, took one of the arrows, pulled the bows string back and then let it go. "Fuck!" She cursed,muttering when she missed the target, not by little but more like a lot. 

"You are holding it wrong" Said a voice, hot,husky voice which made her to jump,let out a small scream, drop the bow and turn around quickly...

There,against the doorway was leaning Alec Lightwood,smug smirk on his lips while his arms was crossed over his chest, making his musculs more noticable. Such a hottie. Lily licked her lips once again, but this time not because she would feel nervous or anything. 

Damn it,Lily! Keep it together! It was just one of the Lightwood kids, nothing special. Its not like nearly all the girls at Idris would be talking about him or the other boy, Jace. Its not like the God of hottnes would be standing couple of feet away from her. Its not like...Shit,shit,shit! Shut up, Lily! Shut up!  Keep it together,girl! 

"Am I?" She asked, raising her eyebrow,almost like challenging him and almost like Alec would be accepting her challenge he stepped closer to her. "Yes" He simply said as he pulled away from the doorway and took a step towards herself. It was almost like the two of them was playing a cat and mouse game. 

"Then show me, show me how to hold it right. Show me how to do it, smartass" Lily said, rolling her eyes as she leaned down and took the dropped bow. For her surprise The raven haired Shadowhunter walked over to her and took the bow out from her hands. "Easy, you are gonna hurt someone or yourself with it" He said with that damn smirk on his lips. Alec wasn't confident. He never have been, but this time. This time everything was different. He liked teasing the new girl and getting on her nerves. 

"You do it like this" Alec said as he easily hit the target with the target without even trying hard and then he turned around. Whip that smirk off your sexy face, you..you..Ugh!  "Your turn. Show me what you got sweetheart" Alec challenged and Lily. Lily was never the one to back away from a challange. She grabbed the bow.

"You are still doing it wrong!" Alec hissed, nearly facepalming himself as he was getting inpatient. Why the hell did he even agreed to this? Oh right. He found the new girl hot and it was weird since Alec always have thought that he is gay. 

"I know! I can't...I can't do it right" Lily addmited with a loud sigh as she fell down on the matress, covering her eyes with her arms. "I'm useless" She muttered, thinking that Alec didn't heard it, but she forgot about Shadowhunter hearing. Lily was usually the confident one, but this time..this time she felt lost, she felt defeated. "I'm never gonna get it right" She muttered to herself, once again forgetting about one of the perks being a Shadowhunter. 

Alec stood not far away from her, watching her as he had crossed his arms, his eyes runned all over her body, but then he stopped himself. What the hell you are doing,Lightwood? Stop it!  He thought to himself as he closed his eyes for a second and shook his head before just walking over to her "Get up!" He said a little bit harashly. "What?" The brunette asked, pulling her arm away from her face. Like this Alec looked even taller. "I said get up!" He snapped, losing his patience. "Don't talk to me like that. Mr.Asshole!" She hissed as she greethed her teeth together. Alec just rolled his eyes. 

All of suddently he grabbed her hand and pulled her up, before she could say anything he turned her around, making her to press her back against his hard chest and wrapped his arms around her. "What are yo---" "Shh...I agreed to teach you, didn't I? Never say this kind of things about yourself, okay?" Alec asked, whispering into the girls ear, making her breath to hitch in her throat.

"The secret is...you need to hold the bow steady, you need to take a deep breath, imagine where you want the arrow to fly and let go..." Alec said simply. Lily nodded as she took a deep breath and closed her eyes tightly for a second and when she opened them she looked at the target. I can do it.I can do it. I can--- And she let go. The arrow flied and flied and....she missed. "Damn it!" She muttered. 

"Shhh..." Alec whispered, nuzzling his face on her neck and inhealing her amazing scent after he had put a lock of her hair over her one shoulder. "Try again. Just believe.." He whispered 

Lily shivered as she closed her eyes once again, took another breath and then just let another arrow go. After a while she opened her yes and let out a small scream of happenes. "I DID IT! I FUCKING DID IT!" She yelled, making Alec to smile softly and pull back from her which nearly made her to whine at the lost contact but she kept quiet. Insted she turned around and throwed her hands in the air in the happnes as she jumped, making Alec chuckle. 

Without even thinking she wrapped her arms around the taller boy and hugged him tightly "Thank you!" She whispered, Alec just hummed as they stayed like that. 

After some while the two of them pulled back, looking into each other eyes as they kind of got lost into them. Lily didn't know who leaned in first. Was it Alec or maybe her? She closed her eyes and when their lips was about to touch, she could feel his breath on them, his body heat and...

"Woho! am I interrupting something?" asked Clary, making our future lovers pull back from each other quickly, making Lily blush and Alec glare at the redhead. Now he is gonna hate her more...

"No...uhh...Alec was just teaching me,helping me to train,showing me how to shot with a bow correctly" Lily explained as she caughed before just turning around quickly and walking out from the room in embrassment. She couldn't even looked at Alec right now and the weirdest part was..She actually wanted it. She actually wanted for the kiss to happen. Was she falling for the older Lightwood boy?

Alec just stood there,watching Lily go as he frowned and then just looked over at Clary or more like glared at her. 

"What?" Clary asked,clueless as she shrugged and then just walked out from the room, leaving Alec wondering about his feelings and thinking about that what just happened over and over again, thinking about the almost kiss.
