Writer's Story
"I let the poison take over so I could escape. I gave up struggling. I just let it take over... But, when I heard you that night, I struggled again... I was too weak to escape the poison... I could've helped you, but I didn't. ...Could you ever forgive me?" He pleaded. He looked guilty.
Looka sighed softly. It was as if she knew that this was what he did the whole time. She had soft and forgiving eyes. "Of course I can forgive you, Scoff. The past is the past. It's over now.... So, can we now move on? Both of us?" She asked him.
He sighed in relief. He looked at her and his tail wagged slowly. His ears perked back up, and his eyes had the gleam that Looka's had. "Yes."
Looka doggishly smiled and buried her head into Scoff. Scoff put his paw on her back.
"I'm glad to have you back Scoff." She whispered.
"It's glad to be back, kid." He whispered in a reply. It was like he was her older brother...
Oh wait...
He is.
Looka parted from the fluffy chest of Scoff, and looked over to the others and I. She just giggled to herself.
"That must've been pretty awkward for you guys. I'm sorry." She laughed again.
"Yeah... Sorry. I'm usually not one to get sappy, but here we are. Anyway... Let's never speak of this again." Scoff tried to act tough and strong, but he knew he was just a big softie under that hard shell of his.
"YAY HAPPY ENDING!" Lucy jumped in the air with excitement. Her tail wagged, and it looked like she had been crying at one point.
"That was beautiful, yes it was." Ollie said.
"Mmm, that's a good story. Jee, we're all full of stories, aren't we?" Echo asked the oblivion.
