Ushered Away

I took in my surroundings... We were under a seat of the train. We were staying low. We were all huddled up together.

"Shadow!" Looka repeated, putting her paw onto me. I looked at her with doubt.

"Shadow, you're okay. Everything is okay now. You're safe." She said, calmly. She must have known what had happened. She looked worried... But, why? Why would she worry about me? She should be worried about Scoff, not me.

All I could do was nod and accept it.

"Now, can you tell me why those guards were after you?" Looka asked. The others seemed to perk up as well, they were listening to us.

I would have to tell her sooner or later, but, would I tell her now? She has too much to worry about as it is, why should I worry her more? She doesn't deserve that.

"I don't want to worry you." I said, honestly. She stared at me, and after a while, she just laughed.

"Worry me? Nope. Try me." She said, confidently.

I wasn't sure about telling her. I was so used to keeping everything inside, even though I really wanted to tell everypony what I was feeling. I just kept it in, and when I did try to tell them, I would get too shy and back out.

I've been thinking too much.

Help me.

There is no melody in this song that I sing.

No beat, or harmony.

Just darkness and numbness.

They're worse than feeling.

But to feel everything at once, isn't the best either.

I feel like my story will become a song someone will sing,

Trying to reach out to those in need...

Never understanding the lyrics. No one would ever understand these lyrics that are written within this story I wrote for myself.

It's just an instrumental that everyone knows.
