Winter didn't stumble back like she did before, she just let the hug embrace her.. And, indeed, the hug did embrace her. Athena spread her wings around Winter, and Athena tried to make Winter happy... But... Sometimes, things like that, they just do not work.

A light blush appeared on Winter's cheeks, which, over time, the blush turned darker shades... A small smile creeped back onto Winter's face, and again, for only a moment, she was brought the shared emotion of Athena.

Sometimes... You just need to stay longer, and work harder, for things to work like they should. That is exactly what happened with Winter and Athena.

Winter wrapped her right wing around Athena, and they hugged each other. "Ha, kid, thanks." Said Winter. "...Alright, that's enough." Said Winter, getting out of Athena's grasp, and preventing herself from getting anymore darker in blush than she already was...

Winter walked over closer to Nook, and she looked down at them. "I think it is time that we must go... I'm sorry for not staying longer, but, now that I have a partner in crime, I can start my new adventure... My new story... I don't know what exactly what I was waiting for, but I think I just found it." Winter said, referring to Nook.

Nook beamed from ear to ear, and flew up to meet Winter at eye-level. "Thank you so much, miss, Winter." Said Nook in a high-pitched voice.

She nodded. "No problem, kid." She then looked back at us, and at Athena who recently joined my side.

"I guess this is goodbye, again. Don't worry! We will visit often, and more than I have before. Thanks for everything, Shadow.. And Athena... Stay being you." Winter winked, and with that, Nook and her took to the skies.

"Farewell, Winter and Nook." I spoke to the brief air that was created when they parted.
