The tears that did come out were like raindrops emitting from the sky, dropping like nothing.

Now, you may also be wondering...
How can canines hug?
Well, they just- Do. Just like ponies, they wrap their arms or legs around the thing that they are hugging. It's not like their legs are stiff or paralyzed...
Well, unless they are paralyzed....
In that case, well, I don't know. But, that's how they hug.

"Looka..." I said softly.

"Sh-Shadow! You're back!" She said, cheerfully. She got her head off of my fur, since she buried her head in it when she hugged me. She still had tears streaming down her face.

I took my paw and I wiped away her tears. "Heheh, it's good to be back." I said to her. I realized something when I was blacked out...
If I didn't come back, well, what would happen to the others? Who would protect them? I made a promise to the creatures of the Everfree. What if the humans came back?

Besides that promise, I felt like I had a bigger purpose for being here. A purpose that I needed to stay for. A purpose worth staying for... I just didn't know what it was yet. But I hoped to find out soon.

Plus, those visions, I wanted to live them. I had seen a little bit of my future to come, but what about the rest of it!? I wanted to meet those ponies, I wanted to protect them... They seemed so nice... And what about what happened in between each of those visions? Heck! It seemed like my future was going to be full of adventures, and I surely didn't want to miss that...

Plus... If I left... I would change the story. I would change the outcome. I would change the visions. What would happen to those ponies if I was gone?
