Pure Corruption

I bowed. "No, no. Thank you. I owe you my life..." I said quietly to him, slowly coming up from the bow.

"Well, you saved mine so I saved yours. No need to owe me for anything... It's what friends do." Scoff said, softly. He really did change. He chuckled a bit, noticing my head tilt. I was confused.... But... Astonished.

He considered me a friend, already? He hardly even knew me. If anything, Scoff and Looka should be friends... Best friends. Not me. I was just doing what I needed to do.. For Looka.

"F-Friends?" I asked, tilting my head back and forth. I was very much confused.

He nodded. "Well, yeah! Of course. Why wouldn't we be friends!? Plus, you helped Looka. Any friend of Looka's is a friend of mine." He smiled.

Looka looked at him with gleaming, wide eyes. She was surprised that he had any memories of her... She thought she only interacted with the poisoned version of him.

Scoff turned back around, departing to the other side of the dog house. He then sat in a corner, where he pondered over thoughts. He was thinking of something.

Looka stood there, frozen. She looked at him, watching his every move.

He lifted his head from the ground, and looked at Looka with tears in his eyes. He smiled.
"I missed you, kid." He said softly to Looka.

Looka knew in that moment, he was back. Like something she had been longing for, for her entire life was back. Something in her heart had been resembled and her past was fixed. Everything that had happened had happened for a good reason. It had happened for this moment.

"Scoff!" She cried out, running to him. She had tears flowing down her face, dropping while running with such speeds.

They had reunited.
