Never Forget What Promises You Make
He had gotten control.
He laughed sharply.
"What are you doing here? Are you trying to save me? Pfft, idiot. I don't want to be saved. You're just like that stupid runt!" His crackled voice echoed out those words. He was trying so hard not to say those words, and he was trying so hard to hold back. It took his energy. It sounded like those words were hard to come through his mouth. And, y'know what? They were all lies. The complete opposite.
He really wanted to be saved. He needed to be saved. The poison thought it could outsmart us, but it was wrong.
I didn't speak. It wasn't my turn to speak. I was awaiting his next move... What would he do next?
He laughed, and laughed harder, and once he did that he coughed up the black acid that was the poison. It burned itself through the wood.
He then looked back at me, and did one quick movement. He showed his fangs and opened his jaw wide enough, and he was almost going to tear my neck off, just at the brim, he was right at the edge, but something stopped him.
"SHADOW!" I heard screaming coming from the outside, and I looked up to the window that the others tried to break through. Guess what? There they were, peaking in, watching everything. I quickly gazed my attention back to Scoff, making them unrecognized. This happened at the same time I was saying something to Scoff.
"I-I will save you. You will be saved." I spoke quietly, and looked into his deep eyes. He stared at me, and he slowly closed his jaw. He looked confused, and bewildered. He looked straight ahead, keeping his eyes off of me, and he backed away a few steps.
