I've always wanted the whole chosen family to spend the night outside, and not sleep... To stargaze instead of looking at looming candles... To appreciate the light of the moon, instead of waiting for the sun... I hoped that Luna would see us...
"Anyway, I accept the offer. Nook can stay with me. I've been getting very lonely ever since I left, even though there is plenty of creature that surround me. Honestly, I haven't made any new friends... Just creatures that I've briefly talk to.. I mean, they are kind and all, but they are not necessarily my friends." Winter said, looking off into the distance with a neutral expression. She quickly looked back to Nook and I, and hopefully smiled. "But anyway, I accept the offer, like I said before. I didn't mean to go into a sap story there, sorry." She said, getting back the cold tone in her voice.
"No, no. Do not apologize, Winter. Never apologize for your feelings... Feelings can say a lot about a creature, or, owl, in this case." I said, looking concerned at Winter. I was basically doing what Winter was doing myself... Hiding my feelings... No one deserves to worry about me, and my useless feelings... But, Winter shouldn't do that.
Winter stayed silent, telling me that we should change the subject. I knew all too well what that silence meant, and I indeed, used it myself.
I looked over to Nook, and they looked very excited to be with Winter, but they also looked concerned for Winter. I didn't think that Nook would know what was going on with Winter, but right now, I think that they did.
Out of nowhere, like a shock of bursting flame from a crackling fire out in the middle of August, Athena flew toward Winter, and tackled her in a hug.
For Athena knew, exactly what Winter was going through.
