Keep Going Forward
"Wait, why did you almost have a panic attack?" Lucy asked, tilting her head.
"Well, um, I uh, thought you guys were dead... I got worried... I just don't want to lose you guys!" I said, blurting out the last part out of emotion, rather than spirit.
"Oh! Shadow, don't worry. You won't be losing us anytime soon! We will be sticking to you like sticky bones! You won't be able to get rid of us!" Lucy beamed, and yelled all of everything that she said.
A few minutes later, the rest of my chosen family woke up, and they crowded around us trying to hear the story. Once they all questioned us as to what happened, and why they thought I was dead, we explained to them both of our stories.
I laughed quietly. "Heheh, yep. I'm just glad that lever got flipped! I can definitely feel another level of freedom in this Everfree." I say, looking over to my right. Beyond the closeness of the trees, through the cracks, I can see various of 'mythical' creatures bursting from their captive homes, and scattering about, finding their places.
I was really glad that I flipped the lever. I was really glad that we experienced everything that led up to the lever, because it really was worth it... The freedom of the creatures wad definitely worth it. I knew if I was one of those creatures, I would definitely want my freedom. My freedom meant everything to me, and if I didn't have it, I probably would go crazy by now.
..Along with my alone time. Being surrounded by others just drains my energy. I'm more of a reserved, quiet, shy, distant, aloofed, detached, and introverted wolf. It doesn't help that I had social anxiety, too. But, this didn't matter when I was with my chosen family completing missions.
I was just doing what I loved.
