Just Stillness

I felt like I hadn't seen her at all... I felt... Almost abandoned. Did she care? Probably not... I wasn't cared for, that was the thing. That's probably why she left, too.

I just wish, for once, I could be fought for... And, I'm not talking physically... Just... I didn't know. Emotions were tough to explain... And, I was a hard creature to figure out.

"I'd rather not talk about it... I'll tell you one day, though." I said, quietly. I really wanted to avoid the past of my early life into the Everfree.. But it wasn't my past that made me like this... My past made me stronger.

I walked off, leaving them confused, but I'm sure they understood... Of course, they would get it out of me, one way or another... Just like I got their stories out, one way or another.

I reached the door, and put my paw up to the doorknob. "Now, enough about me. Who is ready for our adventure?" I said, trying to sound enthusiastic. I still had a little quiver to my voice, due to the fact that we were just talking about my sister and my past... It was alright, though. It needed to be brought up sooner or later.

"Me!" The three dogs said in unison, padding up to me. I looked over at Athena who was trying to get some rest...

"Athena?" No response. "Athena?" Still no response from the lazy bird.

"Winter." I stated. She perked up, and came flying over to the door, just realizing we were going on an adventure, and Winter wasn't actually hear. She sighed, and she decided to join us, anyway.

I opened the door, and we all toppled out. I didn't care if it slammed, since we were all outside anyway. First, before we started our adventure, we would watch the fire cycle.
