Back From The Broken

Did my paws even touch the ground? I didn't think so. It felt like every other push beneath my paws was just another leap in the air.

I had no time to think. I had no time to feel. All of me was set on saving Looka, and saving Scoff.

My feathers brushed intensely against the wind as I flew while I leaped and ran. I had to get all of the speed I could because the time I reach Looka might be too late. I needed to reach her.

The background that flashed before my eyes was gone in seconds. I was running too fast for time.

I saw her, lying on the ground. No movement, but still the satisfaction of saving the ponies what once did nothing but harm to her. She was a good creature. And, how does she get repayed? By being hurt- Motionless, on the ground.

Was she breathing? Oh no!

I skitted and slid on the snow to stop my paws from running. My wings folded back into their resting place, and I made myself stop in motion. I didn't want to crash into her, and so, I stopped.

I was right in front of her. If I took another step I would step on her. My eyes watered with emotion... It wasn't sadness, anger, or fear. It was everything. Every emotion to ever exist was causing my tears.

My right paw lifted, and hesitated to touch the lifeless being. My mouth trembled with words, but there was nothing. I trembled with emptiness.

I had lost what I promised myself I would save. I lost part of my reason for living. I did nothing. Was it too late!? I felt nothing. I felt numbness. I felt like I didn't deserve to be living anymore.

"LOOKA!"
